Auxbeam was kind enough to set us up with another set of sweet lights! These are their 4" 92W 8960LM Combo Beam Side Shooter LED Square Pod Lights with Amber Daytime Running Light feature and cost right around $150 at full price.
I found that the white light feature on these 4" pods was plenty bright for my little Samurai. They provided a nice wide perspective allowing me to see all angles of the upcoming terrain, while also reaching far enough out in to the distance to allow me to see approaching obstacles at speed. While the white light provides plenty of brightness, these Auxbeam pods also have a built in DRL (Daytime Running Light) feature. The DRL feature provides a really unique and cool perspective, while also making yourself more visible to approaching vehicles.
The ability to have multiple modes and two different styles of lighting within one casing, these really take away the need for excessive and unnecessary lights on your vehicle. While they may not be the best choice for serious off-road night time racing, they would be a solid choice of light for most off-road enthusiasts whether you are using them every weekend or every night.

for night time, absolutely, during the day time though I think they are a little small and might be harder to see. That is a really good idea though...
