Hey guys, I tried to improve the quality of my videos, what do you think ? Tell me what I could improve! This model is also available to download if you want to support the channel : thomascolin3d.gumroad.com/l/kunai3dmodel?layout=profile
6:23 for the amateurs who don't watch my videos, you have to enable the Node Wrangler addon for this to work. Question, what does the duplication combined with shrinkwrapping to the mesh below do?
I really like how you showed the lighting part. Nearly all blender tutorials (that I’ve seen over my 1.5 year journey so far) completely skip it, despite their thumbnail and finished product looking amazing, so thank you for that 😊
Dang, that’s CLEAN! You are a true topology master! The blade could probably use a fingerprint texture or some signs of wear. Maybe something like brushed aluminium to show how it was sharpened?
I wanted the skinkwrap modifier to affect only the torus because if I didn't add the vertex group, the cylinder that I extruded would have been flattened by the modifier :)
That's because when you do right click > circle on a curved shape, it deforms the curvature of the shape a little bit. With skinkwrap, I can conform the deformed model onto the mesh that was duplicated and which still has the nice curvature :)

I feel like I am listening to my uncle's war stories when I watch Thomas work with topology.
Lmao 😂😂

It is used to avoid shading problems, it keeps the geometry clean and smooth on curved surfaces
Using the Displacement for the text was very cool to see.
Yeah it catches the lighting and it's better for close-up shots

You're welcome man, i'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Thanks 🙏 Yep you're right. I wanted to make it look like brand new. I'll do a more indepth texturing tutorial in blender, and in substance painter :)
Well done Thomas 👏🏻
Thanks Ehab :)
Your teaching style is very fantastic, You are master piece in blender
Thanks you SO much, it means a lot 🙏🤩
incredible, like always !
Thanks man
Everything about this is great! Thank you so much for the knowledge and entertainment.
Thanks you very much! 🙂
The textures look quite good. Waiting for a new video!🤌
Thanks man!
You should consider 3d modeling some decorations for your room/office bro got the serial killer setup
Now this is looking nice 😎
Thanks you !!
lets go!
🙏👌
Could you make some hair clippers? Like whall or babyliss.
Sure, good idea! It's in my to do list
At 4:36 what is the diffrence with affecting only the torus or with the clyinder

Thanks!🙏
I dont get it why he duplicates and uses shrinkwrap at 3:13, can someone explain it? Im still kinda of new to blender
