4,000 tastings, you're lucky to be vertical. LOL, J/K. Another great video, nice camera work and great info. I'll be stretching my normal price point a bit and be on the look out for the Barbera d'Asti and Cabernet Sauvignon, thanks for pointing them out. Thanks for all you share with YT, I hope the holiday season is great for you.
Tasting 4000+ is not the same as drinking 4000+! 😂 Thanks for the nice comment. The Barbera and Cab all both excellent for the money. Best wishes for the holidays, along with a happy, healthy 2025. 🍷
Great video Bob! Vietti Barbera has been my go to for a while. Can usually find in at TW at a decent price. I will be searching out some of the other recommendations, especially the Emilio Moro Ribera del Duero. Thanks for all you do! Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
Hi James, it’s good hearing from you. Thanks for the good word on the video. Emilio Moro can be found at Total as well. Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy, healthy new year. 🍷
Hi Bob, Happy Holiday! Love your channel. Craggy Range Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc is one of my favorite. Tried 2021 last year, it was good. Picked few bottles 2022 last month at Costco, it's even better. Thank you for preparing wonderful contents.
I’m headed to Costco now and per the app they have. Not on this list but I’m also picking up some Kirkland Ribera del Duero Gran Reserva which for some reason only one Costco in my area has.
@@bobpaulinskimasterofwine Hey Bob. I did get the Craggy range. As for the Kirkland Ribera del Duero I suspect it must be somewhere but around the south Florida area there is only one Costco that shows it. I bought 4 to enjoy in the future. Lastly I know Livermore. Went to a wedding there years ago.
Thanks for the video, and all the great content this year Bob. Can't always find every wine here in the UK, but the insights are appreciated all the same. (One minor techy point, it would be good if you could turn up the audio levels on your videos. Coming to you from a Konstantin Baum vid I had to really strain to hear (too lazy to turn up my volume :-) ). Interestingly the audio levels improved at around the 12 minute mark.)
I appreciate your comments. I try to focus on wines that a broad audience can find. As for the sound, very odd, the levels are set as always. I’ll raise it up a notch on future videos. Cheers. 🍷
Damn. Maybe we are kindred spirits because whenever anyone asks me for my favorite value wines that are not from America I point them to the Vietti and Emilio Moro as part of my go to’s for value. Great pics !
Bob, I love your content because you recommend outstanding wines that the average consumer can buy so that they can drink at table. Before watching this video, I suffered through 2 of your competitors videos showcasing the best wines of 2024. What pretense , these wines are for the elite , none of those wines could be enjoyed by the average consumer. The wines featured were all over $100. Kudos to you for offering great values that punch north of mediocrity.
I very much appreciate your comment. The wine world is heaped with outstanding values. It’s a matter of knowing where to look. It doesn’t cost $100+ to experience artisan wines that show a sense of place. BTW, I’ve had plenty of $100+ wines that were thoroughly disappointing. Cheers! 🍷
I really do think you made excellent choices! 🤙🤙🤙but what‘s missing? - german Riesling - Gewürztraminer d‘Alsace - Grüner Veltliner, Austria - Sangiivese, Tuscany - Cotes-du-Rhone - a Merlot - a red Bordeaux - a white Bordeaux
Thanks for commenting. Keeping it to five wines meant a lot of great options didn’t make the cut! That said, you’ve got me thinking. This could be a Gruner V sort of night!
Spot on selections with the Wente CS a bit of a surprise but worth trying. Craggy Range SB is a never miss no brainer. Have had Cru Beaujolais at 15 years old with little if any fade just more pinote. Love the grapevine tattoo on your arm. Talk about identity. Need a little more sound volume?
Hi John, the Wente was a surprise for me as well. Craggy Range 👍 I always cellar away top Cru Beaujolais. Wonderful wines. As for the tattoo, it’s from a visit to Kuala Lumpur, my home away from home. The sound volume, it’s set at the same levels as my other videos, but I’ll lift it a bit in future videos. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers. 🍷
Great video…now I gotta go shopping! To me, if anyone is interested in how different red wines can taste, try a Morgon Cru Beaujolais. Deliciously different from any other red wines.
I'll have to add the Craggy Range SB and Emilio Moro to my shopping list as I have tried (and enjoyed both Marlborough and Sancerre-styles) and am looking for a comparative counterpart for my 2015 La Rioja Alta Ardanza Reserva. My favorite 5 wines in 2024 that I paid
Good, two that you should definitely add to your list. Nice line up of wines. I’ve had the ‘21 Zuccardi Concreto, love it. I’ve had Luca OV as well, but I think it was a different vintage. Happy Holidays! 🍷
Thank you,@@bobpaulinskimasterofwine! The Concreto's thyme aroma and quality red grapes without the usual oak is literally and figuratively refreshing! Pairing it with ribeye in garlic-thyme butter was phenomenal!! However, when paired with an EVOO-seared Ribeye, the just-acquired Luca pulled out a surprising victory over a 2019 Le Petit Smith Haut Lafitte and the Concreto. The rematch between the Concreto and Luca with the former food pairing is definitely raising the excitement in our kitchen! ;-)
Merry Christmas and happy new year Bob!
Thank you! And Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy, healthy new year.

On the hunt for Emilio Moro! Merry Christmas!
I hope you find it! BTW, I bought my bottle at Total Wine. They have several bottlings, the one in my video is a great bargain! Merry Christmas! 🍷
That Vietti is an amazing value - had it in a meal ahead of a younger Barolo and that Barolo had some work cut out for it to rise above the barbera
It’s definitely a great value. I bet it was a great meal! 🍷

Hi Dan, I’m glad you liked the video. Morgon, got to love it. 🍷
Have you tried the Wente Southern Hills Cab? It's about $10 cheaper than the Wetmore version and still pretty darn good for the price.
I have, it’s also good, but a little less weighty than the Wetmore. 🍷
@@bobpaulinskimasterofwine Nice. Maybe I'll splurge one day and try the Wetmore.
I love the Morgon!!! I think I purchased 6 bottles of it and have 3-4 left. I’m hoping to keep one around for 3-4 more years and see how it turns out.
Me too! It’ll age well, the change can be rather pronounced. Fun wines to cellar away. 🍷
Omg thats so funny. I had two barberas the other night. The vietti and a reva (d’alba) the vietti was outstanding i had to go get 4 more
Haha! Small world! 🍷

@ Wonderful. Great food/wine combos. Ribeye is always a good match with reds because of the tannins. Works well.
Is it me or is the audio gain really low
The settings are the same as usual. Just rechecked it, seems ok.
"First ones here."
