I do wanna mention that I did contact wired about the controller issues and they were quick to send me a new one. I just haven’t had the time to install it
Little update I replaced the controller and it seems to be doing the trick. I have the bike at max power and have ridden it 40 miles with no shut off👏🏼⚡️

@@EnzoFullyCharged good to hear.. i take it you only have 1 battery.. the bikes with 2 batteries wobble when you take your hands off the handlebars..
Yeah I have the one with only 1 battery and I can imagine it would wobble with all that weight on a rear rack
Somebody is gonna open their door one day and collect you. Stay in the middle of the lane its a shared lane. Stay away from those parked cars.

You must never have been to Houston. It's hell on Earth. Going from LA with some of the nicest weather to Houston would be hard as the humidity is fucking unbearable. Austin gets nasty hot but it's not as humid and it's an interesting town with poor infrastructure so traffic gets really slow at rush hour, albeit less of an issue for an ebike. Austin wasn't well planned so you def don't want to get stuck far from home in a car too late on the day.
For that Houston humidity is nothing redeeming except tons of trees, which only makes it more humid.
It's also probably the worst part of Texas crime wise.
I'd prefer Texas politics but it's a generally ugly state with no mountains, inferior beaches, relatively crappy tex mex. Both states have an abundance of Mexicans but ours make better food.
Austin could be a fun spot in a van for a while a la Dillon Thomson. Not so much fun in the summer heat though.
Might as well be on a beautiful Philippine beach or in Miami if you can tolerate humidity. Houston ain't it.
Honestly I appreciate the advice I love the weather in LA but its way to damn expensive, you got any suggestion ?
Don't see others having this issue, was there any modifications done on your bike. I have no issues in long rides in full power.

The newest bike comes with a 45amp controller, it seems that the company is addressing the issue. Ordered mine on may4th, should be shipping from LA any day now, i cant wait!

about the overheating, is that the version before the potted controller and rear battery option? 20a or 40a controller?
The controller says max current is 40a
Also no it only had the battery in the bottom tube not in the rear
It is the version with the potted controller. The issue is they cheap out and make their controllers out of plastic. Plastic holds heat. Their controller box is also too small which doesn’t allow heat to escape. Awful design.
What good is a bike if it shuts down because it overheats. The owners of Wired e-bikes do not know what they are doing.
They say so on their web site.
Why would anybody buy a bike from these guys.
And weak warrantees.

They bought it because of hype and didn’t do their research 😂 wired makes overpriced piles of shit.
You must be ecells bike owners, this is not an issue haven't seen others complain on Facebook groups.
