What a beautiful ride. I Only use PAS 3 on windy days and up hill. I find PAS 2 totally adequate most of time, and I ride in the Arizona desert, on very rough dirt roads. To my dismay, though, I noticed that your" bars" last much much longer then mine. I wonder why. My first bar drops fairly quickly, and then it takes a while before the next one drops. Another fun video. I do have to question your estimated range. When you hit 2 bars, 50%, you were at 18 miles. We all know the first half of a battery last longer than the second half. I said I hope you are in pulling into your driveway at 36 miles but you estimated you would go 45-50 miles at that point. You were fortunate to get 37 miles. No big deal, I hope you were close to home but please keep in mind for future long rides that the second half of a battery charge depletes faster than the first half, most of the time.
Yeah, I was using throttle a lot towards the beginning half of the video for hills and to pass people. I did less of that at the end. Also, don't forget the additional 2 miles I did before I reset the odometer. I actually was at 21 miles when i turned around and got a total of 39 miles when I got home. If I was coasting more on the downhill sections and didn't use throttle at all (set to full power, so it used 2,000 watts when I twisted it) I could have easily gone 40+ miles. Thanks for watching!!

@user-ht3hm9ng8s I have another ebike and it has dual batteries as well. You can run it with 1 or 2 batteries....the voltage /power/speed is the same, the only difference is extended capacity/range. If you look up how battery solar systems work, you'll find this same information (series vs parallel). Hope this helps!
My 2024 Freedom was ordered in APR & was due to ship at end May, then postponed for the bonuses till end June. When it showed up the UPS man asked me to help get off truck its so heavy. The top of the box was ripped off from middle to 1 end with many holes along sides. It looked like a bear attacked it. When I opened it up I immediately saw many scratches in paint. I was bout to put together when I noticed no tool for handlebars or manual to put this together. So I went on their chat help & in the end it came missing manuals, tool,2nd battery charger, touch up paint, headlight, & PEDALS... so they send me the accessory box which took 4 days (mind you I took my vaca from work for the day of the delivery) & its missing the touch up paint. From this point on the Wired customer service chat was unhelpful & rude. I asked them how the batteries work is it frame batt till drained then rear kicks in? & they said it was a 'blendid' function that draws off both... So I told them that i purposely drained my batt to 60% on display & when went to charge both only the rear was at 60% while frame batt was 100%, so its not blending.... I like to pedal so I turn the motor options off (set to 0) & quickly found out that gears 1-6 make the chain skip on every rotation... They told me to take it to a bike shop for a derailer adjustment or watch a youtube vid on how do it myself...2400.00+shipping & this is the product I got & customer service to go with it FUCK WIRED
I would think C5 is the closest to a "delay" setting. I know that 10 let's all the power out at once, and 1,2, and 3 slowly ramp up the power. Factory setting for this is at 4.

You should be able to go at least 15 miles at Pedal Assist 3 before you lose a battery bar....and at least 8 miles on pas 5 before it drops a bar.
Also, the voltage is more accurate than the battery bars, but check/try the P5 setting at 6 and let me know if that helps!!
Surron God, you're the man. I took your advice and drop the P5 from 16 to 10. Dude I get so much more range. Thanks a million
@jamesramsey7767 that's awesome!!! If you set it to 6 you should get even more accurate range/readings, if you have the Samsung battery cells.
New Freedom and Cruiser adds an additional factory 15AH battery (dual batteries)
So epic! I just might have to get one!!
@@leetjohnson I saw that as a new option. might be nice to have.
my thought is to just carry another battery on the rear rack to swap out as Id kinda like to occasional go on a 60 some mile ride.
@@bellyacres7846 for sure!
What is the speed rating of those Kenda tires? Can you find out?
Good question, let me see if I can find out.
I have the Chao Yang tires. I wasn't able to find any information about speed rating online, other than for motorcycle tires that Kenda makes. They must not have speed ratings for the bike tires...or if they do, they don't publish that information.
My guess 42 miles
Excellent guess!!
hope you have mirrors on your hat
Unfortunately no mirrors.
O gage train track nice
👍
My guess 38 miles
Excellent guess!!
its 60v
Correct. When fully charged it is at 67 volts. Fully dead battery is around 50v, depending on how much power you are using before it dies (pas 1, pas3, pas 5).
So with the new one with dual battery you should easily get 50+ miles on pedal assist 3. I'm sold.
Yep!!!
No one is explaining how the second battery on some motor e-bike works, including the owners of Wired Bikes. I would like for him to come out and clearly explain how that second battery works. I don’t think he has enough knowledge to explain.
The Fly wants to know!!!
@@SarahJane-y1p what do you mean? The second battery is connected in parallel to the main battery, with a battery balancer to keep the voltage matched.
@user-ht3hm9ng8s I have another ebike and it has dual batteries as well. You can run it with 1 or 2 batteries....the voltage /power/speed is the same, the only difference is extended capacity/range. If the batteries were connected in series, their amperage would be added together, but the capacity would remain the same. If you look up how battery solar systems work, you'll find this same information (series vs parallel). Hope this helps!
@@SarahJane-y1p You could easily google it.
Thank you for sharing your experience, I appreciate it.
Also, does anyone know which setting removes the throttle delay?
I would think C5 is the closest to a "delay" setting. I know that 10 let's all the power out at once, and 1,2, and 3 slowly ramp up the power. Factory setting for this is at 4.
remove the delay, use more battery. Delay is your battery's friend, but not the oncoming cars'....lol
Nice ride; beautiful area. I ride up in Washington State, Port Angeles area. I had guessed 50 miles at least, but I forgot you had a cadence sensor instead of a torque sensor. With a torque sensor you can get better milage I think. Thanks for posting.
I think you are right, torque sensor would help. I also throttled here and there, so probably could have gone a few more miles if I didn't do that.
Wired’s bikes now peak at 3200 watts, 1000 watts more than e cells bike. I have tried the new prototype and it is much more powerful than the previous version. The new Wired bikes will easily outperform the e cell clone in acceleration, hill climbing, and top speed. E cells is not collecting sales tax either because they have had only minuscule total sales or they are crooks who don’t pay tax. Either is bad.
I want the new one!!
