trying to figure out why there was some crackling with the audio. using my DJI mic here, sounds like some interference? didnt seem to do it outside? lighting? not sure?
Close proximity feedback maybe? I only noticed it happening when you moved in close to things or returned into the garage from outside. Still a vast improvement on clarity compared to watching some older videos
Try turning your wifi off. Sounds like latency interference
its static from your shirt probably, so get in antistatic dryer sheets coming on strong!!!
Jon bring back the seductive voiceovers!
If you have your mobile phone in your pocket can cause issues sometimes.
🤪 So is it any good then? As far I can see some warm distilled water with a drop of fairy-up is far better. For those more stubborn cleaning tasks add half teaspoon of vanish powder to your spray bottle… make your own strength. Shake until dissolved. All the same chemicals at home under the sink. Same as everything else, wipe down with a wet microfibre. A couple of sprays of Sauvage when you’re done and viola! Bet you get excellent results… every time. 👍🏻
Autoglym have had an apc for years its called cleanall used it for years at jlr when i was a valeter.
Used this for valeting my brand new (it is to me!) 24-year-old Peugeot 206 Roland Garros. The interior has come up green and yellow again. Marvellous product. Smells so fresh. If you drove it blindfolded, you would not believe it was a 139000-mile, 24-year-old Peugeot!
Probably because they rattled from new!
@@raftonpounder6696 Because French, as HubNnut would say. Honestly, it's really on the way out. It has many knocks, bangs and buzzes as well as rattles. It's one of those cars where I hear new different noises each day I'm in it, if you know what I mean.
Simon, I have just bought 5 Ltrs of Surfex HD as it’s brilliant. I know what you mean about Autoglym. It’s been around 58 years and has been a staple of people with quality cars that have grown up with it and it’s Royal warrants. The packaging/branding is so old and traditional I’m sure they have been afraid of moving on. Their Lifeshine products I think are the only labelling departure towards modern but they hang onto the bottle shape. I avoid them because I think, rightly or wrongly they are old fashioned.
Bill -Hamber for me.
Who’s Simon?
@@LSD04 I think it's Simon Groome, who used to be on Blue Peter.
Jon a good shootout may be READY TO USE APC SHOOOTOUT!!!! THERE CAN ONLY BE 1!
I found Gyeons bug and grime didn't so much of anything on my car, that oily / grease kinda stuff after my cars been sprayed for winter with rust proofing spray
Jon I just rushed over to halfords and picked one up so get in there de lad
Jon lovely detailing shots with the detailing factory brush ohh yeaaaah it’s lush!
I know Autoglym do two trade version APCs too, Clean All and Super Clean Sanitiser
Good result for a one stop, ready mixed product. Will buy some of that.
I am sure the AG stuff is good but nothing comes close to Surfex for value and performance
Jon, could you do a video on the differences between a snowfoam and a dedicated shampoo? I've been using BH TL to coat the car in foam, rinsing it completely off, then reapplying and washing the bodywork with a mitt and the foam as the lubrication/shampoo. So far, i can't understand the need for a dedicated shampoo with BH TL cleans so well?
Can do m8
@@ForensicDetailing cheers Jon 👍 keep up the great content
An APC for general cleaning is better to be neutral, a PH around 7? It would also be interesting to measure the PH of the APCs demonstrated to clarify what kind of product we are talking about in terms of PH. cheers
Why would it be better at ph7? You cannot determine much about a surfactant blend from the pH. You could make a base with. Caustic soda and balance it closer to pH neutral and it could be more damaging potentially then a blend of surfactants than are ph12 with no caustic soda.
@@ForensicDetailing Thanks for the clarification, sure caustic soda is a radical move in terms of cleaning, and is better to stay away from, so we can assume, as a general rule, that a more alkaline PH (i.e 10) would be better for cleaning and degreasing the interior, or even the exterior of the vehicle. My focus here will even be more on the interior, which has a greater variety of surface types and resistance and even dirtiness.
*Just an aside in the answer, I use a multipurpose product PH neutral of 7, dedicated to homemade cleaning, even in the most sensitive parts and I mix it at 1:10, and it has worked beautifully, of course after cleaning, I have to seal the surfaces with products suitable for them., however the product is not even referenced for car cleaning, technically very very identical to Nextzett's Blitz Reinig, which even mentions where it can be used at home. I've never had any problems and now I'm thoroughly cleaning a 4x4 with a lot of dirt built up over 22 years :)
Auto smarts G101 wants some beating
Hi i really like your detailed content, I am an autoglym user and always been happy with the results I get from autoglym. I'm getting black/dirt from my window seals transferring onto my micro fibers when polishing and buffering. Would the auto gym APC stop this?
Wouldn't use it for your leather seats
While this is expensive, it is something that would be good to try. I have always been happy with most Autoglym products until I used the wheel cleaner on my diamond cut wheels, which really dulled the finish and created a ton of work to bring them back. They look good again now but I was quite surprised.
Local to me small independent AG resellers ie. Not Halfords, in the west midlands struggle with consistent support via their distribution model being direct via AutoGlym sales person, the man in the truck who visits weekly and sells from his truck. Apparently the rep has to travel to the a regional managers location to collect and return the AG truck each day. Causing alot of travel costs for the rep and a turnover of sales staff because they can’t park the AG vehicle at their home address overnight . Dont know if this happens with Snap-on guys and their mobile shops.
I have threatened many times to buy some AutoGlym products and give them a go. A major retailer here in Canada has a large selection of products on their shelves. You convinced me Jon to try them. Till the next one.👍🏻😎(As a P.S. Jon, IK has a new a “stubby” bottle with an improved trigger and a 360 foot valve added for improved use in tight places. I have 4 of the new “stubbies”and I am sincerely hoping they will release an updated trigger for their 1 Litre bottles.)
I'd highly recommend that you try Autoglym Car Shampoo & Conditioner. It leaves a shine that makes it look like you've used a quick detailer to finish the car off, when you haven't.
@@Ayeright. Thank you for the recommendation. I will check it out.👍🏻
Nice video, is this the same as autoglym clean all?
Many thanks
im not sure mate sorry
The C4S is looking great Jon.
Surfex hd all day long
Another great video Jon and I'm grateful for the comparison with Surfex HD, which is excellent and my go-to product along with Touchless. As these are so good and great value when bought in 5L volumes, I cannot see me using the AG APC, even though I love the brand and their quality. I tend to mix and match products and for fabric seats etc the AG Interior Shampoo is amazing, particularly when used with the VAX Spotwash you reviewed some time ago. For leather, I use Baby Dove soap. Thanks again.
Autoglym do produce APC in there professional range that can be diluted
Spoiler alert, car is detailed! Came here from a previous video about the interior.
By the looks of your hair did you come straight from a nap to make this video 😆
love your videos can you set the power frequency on your cameras to 50hz to stop the flickering under your lights
It's my new phone can't seem to stop it on 50 or 60hz
Can’t wait to pick one up! Ohh I’m buzzing for APCs
Can't beat Surfex HD
I prefer citrus magic by kkd tbh but surfex is also really good
Great vid Jon. Is your voice roboting through the video, or do I have an issue on my end? Anyone else having the same audio issue?
no see sticky comment. I think its fixed now firmware update on my new mic seems to have helped.
Can anyone remove the AG sprayer from the bottle so you can reuse them? Is there a knack to it?

Thank you
You must not be sizeist!
Nothing beats Surfex HD-prove me wrong! To me, Autoglym products are very outdated, spray bottle design hasn't changed in years and their whole product line up until this APC is very job specific. There is more value to be had in other cheaper products with a wider spectrum of usage. The only time I'd buy Autoglym is as a gift pack present to someone who isn't really into cleaning their car
Really you think! Come see my family of cars, tell me what products I use, not really into cleaning cars 🙄
I gave my opinion, you disagree- So what! each to their own.
Man I wish I lived next to you, I love detailing. We would be best mates and wash the car together every weekend.

Have you done a video about the best road film remover that’s on the market?
i included from TFR's in my second best snow foam comparison
@@ForensicDetailing thanks buddy I did like your tip to put the apc on the car then the the polar blast on top. I do like to use the Autoglym snow foams and then the sealant it’s like an idiots guid to snow foaming which is good for me 🤣
To be far with autoglym can you put that in the same sprayer as the APC, I’m a massive fan of autoglym and been using it for years, i will be going to get some and try it 👍
Excellent video Jon.
Any news on the Citrus PreWash video?
hope to get started with it next week
Yes, been waiting for the citrus video too. Was first mentioned back in December I think.
@@ForensicDetailing fantastic, can’t wait for that one.
Really appreciate the efforts and time you put into this channel Jon 👍🏼
Jon, I'm really struggling to see how this product can be used in this RTU formulation inside the car, considering how potent it must be to deal with the dirt simulator. All the best Jon.
it cleans the dirt simulator by emulsifying the oils/grease in it. But that process does not make it dangerous to interiors thats just how surfactants work.
@Forensic Detailing Channel thanks Jon. Every day is a school day 😇
I cleaned the brake fluid out of a brake pressure bleeder with surfex hd the other day. It’s great stuff. Normally I would have used brake cleaner but I run out surfex is ridiculously good.
Wait. There’s a good halfords concentrate shampoo?
Please wear gloves !
What happens if you don’t ??
Jon any idea of the pH of the autogylm APC ?
