Sorry for the confusion everyone: It appears I somehow mixed things up and included the wrong clips in the teaser at the beginning and in the thumbnail. The things which didn’t appear in this episode are from part 2 which will drop next Sunday! I’m very sorry for the mix up.
Trivial comment, but your graphic identified the krait you found on the boardwalk as non-venomous (although it did have the red box). Thanks for another really enjoyable episode, I've been itching to get back to Thailand and your content is the next best thing!
Definitely missed your vids David! You are the best at educating viewers. Always informative and interesting. I love the serious manner that you approach all of the serpents that you catch and review. Do drama, just straightforward educational. Also appreciate you identifying the snakes via popups. Would like to suggest that you consider keeping the popups in place a longer period of time. Thank you.
Unfortunately making the ID pop ups show for longer isn’t as easy as it sounds. It’s a pre-made preset with the in and out animations and all I can edit are the colors and text.
So fantastic to relive these events from our Thai Peninsula Expedition. Usually I just wish I was with you guys; this time I actually was! It was an amazing adventure of a lifetime and these memories will last forever. Thanks for everything David. - Michael
Definite typo identifying the first Malayan Krait as non venomous. Another excellent video. Let’s hope someone doesn’t see that and go pick up the next krait they see thinking it’s non venomous….
Do you guys ever come up to Nam nao or Phuphaman national park? If you ever go there I'd most definitely love to tag along! Man you guys living my dream.
@@DAVIDSFEED Oh really? I thought we had lots of snakes here. Ppl keep finding awesome pythons and cobras around my area. But I'm no expert or anything... You probably know where the best spots are. On a side note... What can I expect to find out here? I don't have the time to travel down south so I'll be wandering around up here in the NE instead.
I believe that they do occur in Thailand. There’s so many drastically different variations of centipede that are considered to be “S. dehaani”, likely there is room to split them up into separate species but no one has done it yet.

So cool to see people in their element. It makes me happy to see you guys explain to some of us viewers that have no clue. The way you guys handle them and the confidence and caution you take. Cheers from California.
You should come to Southern Arizona. There are just as many, more actually cool reptiles here in the Sky Island Country, and adjacent Mexico. Cary in Tucson
There certainly are some cool herps in AZ, but definitely significantly less than out here in SE Asia. I’d absolutely love to film some videos there one day - and I’m sure I will!
@@DAVIDSFEED so is that a venomous snake? And is it the kind that the scientists and he lived for like 24 hours and they kept resuscitating him but then he ended up dying?

David I have a question for you, how in the hell did you memorize all the scientific names for all those snakes LOL???
I thought it was a re-upload
I wanted to see Red-headed kraits, I’ll be waiting for the next episode, 🙌🏽
All of your captions for the kraits are marked in red and you explained how toxic they were...but they came up on the screen as non venomous
Snakes are truly the models of the animal kingdom!! They photograph SO WELL!! Great finds, entertaining video, thank you for taking us along!!
You’re most welcome, I appreciate the kind words!
The first Krait said non-venomous!!!!!lol

I was going to point that out too.
So are they venomous?
Thanks a lot!!

@@DAVIDSFEED ahh, the mangrove suckling snake 🤣 I allowed the beast only a brief chew. Just one of so many stories to tell.
Awesome Blood python!!👌
Thanks!

Should have read comments first because this point has already been pointed out numerous times. My bad.
Yeah, that was my bad. I was running on 2 hrs of sleep when I edited this. I’ll make sure to double check everything in the next episode! :)
Damn fine content
Thank you good sir!
Kraits ??? 😱😱😱 Please be careful
Always ;)
Nice video! Just an FYI, you labeled the kraits as "non-venomous." I know they aren't prone to biting, but, they do have venom...
Yes, that was an editing error.
Awesome !!!!!!!!
Thanks!!
Do you guys ever come up to Nam nao or Phuphaman national park? If you ever go there I'd most definitely love to tag along! Man you guys living my dream.
Virtually never - this area isn’t very exciting for herping unfortunately :/

31:14: "Malayan Krait Non-Venomous"!
Alrighty then...
As mentioned in the pinned comment, this is an editing error on my end.
Wow sweet blood python
Thanks!
It's so crazy that people that live in Europe and Southeast Asia can drive only few hours and then they will be in a whole new country! 😮😂
I’m in the states and can drive a couple hours and be in a whole new country 😂Some people only need fifteen minutes 😉
Yeah, and to us it seems just as crazy that you Americans can’t do that haha
I would’ve kept the dumeril monitor lol
As tempting as this may be, it would have been pretty illegal 😅
This guy looks like a bootleg justin bieber lol but great vids tho
I get that a lot, personally I can’t see the slightest resemblance though.
those would be cherry red centipede but thai version
I believe that they do occur in Thailand. There’s so many drastically different variations of centipede that are considered to be “S. dehaani”, likely there is room to split them up into separate species but no one has done it yet.
This really makes me wonder is that what a healthy blood python should look like or are we over feeding them way to much in captivity 🤔
Correct, virtually every blood in captivity is severely obese.
David will the ticks kill that retic? Or can they get them off?
No - they will eventually drop off once they’re full.
It said the Malayan Krait was non-venomous. Top left corner.
Yes, this was a mistake. It is obviously supposed to say highly venomous. This is what happens when I rush the edit running on 2 hours of sleep 😂💀
Accidentally listed the kraits as non venomous
Indeed I did… :(
Great live.
Thanks!
@@DAVIDSFEED Strange I can’t find you on instagram
Yes. I finally found it
Here we go🎉
Yesss!
11:30 Desmoxytes purpurosea
🐛
That species only gets to be 3 feet long. 33:55
You mean the Marine File Snake? Their maximum length is around 4ft.
@@DAVIDSFEED yes but they could get 4ft but it’s rare.
I thought they banned the working elephants in Asia?
No sir! Or if they did, no one is following the rules. It’s very common to see captive working elephants out here.
@@DAVIDSFEED I did read that they have quite a bit of working elephants there. They are endangered though and not many left. Thanks for the reply
What is Thailand’s most dangerous snake then?
Hard to say, I’d definitely consider the Siamese Russell’s Viper as one of the top contenders for that title.
@@DAVIDSFEED can you find one for us to see -

No it isn’t, it was Tristan, who is indeed also from Australia.
