Is there actually a chance to choose two values from one visual and drill through?
In your example that would mean to choose two customers and then drill through to the details of both customers... seems such a simple task, but I can‘t get that to work.

Great video Patrick. Personally I think end users struggle with the Ctrl Click even when being promted but luckily I dont have any cases where I need two dimensions for drill through as we are quite basic at the moment.
Basic is ok 👊 We have also seen confusion over those "gestures".

Thank you, will try this. How do I select multiple customers and drillthrough? We have several million customers. It's kind of hard to explain to the consumers(my boss and other departments for whom we design reports) to select each one individually.
Patrick, simply great. I followed your instruction and set up some nice conditional drill destinations. Unfortunately i can't figure out how to get rid of the right-click drill option which kinda nullifies the whole thing😦

Just one question though: why'd you write the AND function inside an IF if the results were gonna be TRUE and FALSE? Wouldn't using just AND without the IF get the same result?

Just loved linking Drillthrough to button and how button text changed to make report more user friendly. Thank you so much sharing. I have applied this to one of my report but i am facing issues with changing the font color and background of the button. The default grey color doesn't match my report theme and i am unable to change the first text that we see in format panel. However, the changes made in format panel applies to second text when we click the button. Could you please guide if there is a way to change the font color and button color for base button.

Thank you for that amazing tutorials on Button Drill through. Today, I tried this feature so found that drill through seamlessly works well with basic visuals but when I use custom visual Donut chart from a market place so that button drill through is not working at all and when I changed this custom visual back to basic doughnut chart so it is working fine.
Is drill through only working with basic visuals and not with custom visuals?
Hi Patrick... this drill-through option using the button helped me a lot but I am still facing a small issue. You showed that we can drill through between pages using the page name from slicer but I have 10 pages total and for different visuals, there are a different set of drill-through pages for eg for some visuals I have 2 drills through pages for some visuals there are 5, so we have page slicer from which we are selecting a single page from the entire list of 10 pages is there a way by which I can only show the custom page names set for that visual after filtering the visual by selecting any column or bar from visual.
Simply Amazing! I love Guy in a Cube! For the first page of my dashboard, I created buttons with images for different clients which I'd like to either drill-through or navigate to a page with more information about the client. Without clicking on any visuals other than the button itself, how can I click on the button with the image and have it drill-down or navigate to a page based on the client name? i.e. Will it work if I somehow put conditional formatting for the Client Name field in the Button Title or Button Text? You would be my forever hero if we could accomplish that!

I was trying to create, with ONE button, the ability to navigate to a different page, accordingly to the filter that the end user use.
Currently you have to choose one page (from a column that have that same names as the sheets names in the report) and it makes it impossible to do it with a dynamic measure.
My main goal is to have the same button at the top of each page, and this button will navigate to the relevant drillthrough - if the end user filtered one customer then it will navigate to customer drillthrough.

In Power BI how can we copy one page in the report to another file/ report ??
We can duplicate it in the same file but we can't copy it to another file

Yes enabling drillthrough via button is great feature, but we need to restrict the user to stop using the drillthrough functionality by right click the data point..

Nice One Patrick !! It will be nice to see if we can filter and toggle based on buttons .. So that we can customize them to our needs instead of using the conventional slicer .. ( not via Bookmarks :) )
Like QlikSense/View? I've always liked their filter functionality more when in the end user role.
Yeah the actions of a Button/Image are limited. I agree that would be great functionality, but today they don't provide that direct functionality.

Hey Patrick, Nice content. I have one doubt, what if i have one scenario where the hasonefilter or selctedvalue is not working - if there is only one record in the visual but still user need to select the row/record for drill though button to work instead the dax is returning true logic as i'm having only one record.

Could you please let me know on how to pass dynamic parameter values from one paginated ( report builder developed) report to other paginated report. It's taking me to paginated report but dynamic values are not populated it shows as fields!test.value , I have to pass manually. Do you think it's possible between paginated reports.This will be a great help .

How can I use the same drill through button when I have more than one drill through fields on drill through page ?
I have three drill through fields on my DT page as level 1, 2 and 3. My requirement is to add the DT button which will pass value as All if only level 1 is filtered. Same goes for level 2 and 3.
Is it possible to disable the right click drill through on the graph tho? Otherwise users could right click and drill through without the conditions

I went through the video its great learning. I have tried this in my project and did this measure but i got a comment saying too much comands passed in if statement. It only can pass 3 commands. What can be the solution to this?

I am using a drill through button to drill through to other pages in the report.
I have come across 2 problems for which I would like to see some help -
(1) Normal Drill through to a selected page defined in the action -
this works perfectly when only one field value is selected. where we select more than one field from multiple visualsss on the page, the button doesnt get enabled at times. the drill through still shows when we right click and works
(2) conditional drill through by DAX
coming across inconsistent performance, as it the button doesnt get enabled at times.
can you please help to resolve this?

how did you actually add "page name" to slicer ?
I am having some issues using this feature. I can get it to work for one selected dimension, but I am having issues when I try to incorporate a second selected dimension. Any ideas?
