These aren't just gold mines. They separate all different types of minerals and metals at these mines.

Carlin trend. not trench. also, please try and do the correct research. I take offense at the implications that northern nevada mining is not done responsibly. there is bye products to every process and these mines truly do everything they can to contain any kind of contamination to the water supply and the environment as a whole. put your feet in the dirt and come take a look. what you see from the air is only bias. these operations are massive and yes it appears a bit overwhelming from the air, but mining is needed and is done right in all of the northern nevada mines. I have been to every large and small operations in northern nevada and every mine is always trying to improve on a daily basis. acceptable is not in there vocabulary. first rate all the way.

All sorts of wrong information in this video. I've lived in Elko Nevada my entire life. This guy in the video is using false information as fact. I don't know that he is doing it intentionally but it us still false. I worked for Newmont for 5 years and can point out numerous inaccuracies in this short video. Please reach out to me and we can correct this so everybody can come to an educated decision using accurate evidence.

After seeing this video.....if I was a native Alaskan there would be NO WAY I’d want a gold mine in my back yard. The amount of pollution from these mines is unimaginable

So much uneducated crap being spoken in this video... you know nothing about the ins and outs of responsible mining and the stringent rules the operators obide by.
