This is stunning! Interesting to see what thoughts and planning went into the production and design. The engineering and craftmanship is amazing. Thank you so much for this very detailed look. Love videos like this.

After Barbie, Agatha All Along, and Wicked which uses about 90% of practical effects, I hope studios will start doing more of this. Practical effects looks so much better. VFX is fine but should not be the main ingredient. It should help tune up practical effects/ make up, not take over it.
The practical sets look incredible!! So much effort and detail. I just hope they haven’t plastered to much CGI over it. For example the Flash movie filmed at the stunning Burley house for several weeks for Batmans house. When it came to watching the movie the CGI was drenched over it so much it didn’t even look like a real building. The reason the wizard of oz is so timeless is because of the practical effects.
Since they Built the whole movie, What do they do with all of it now?? Did they just smash it all up & throw it away (seems wasteful).? Did they just take it apart & re using it all? What did they do with it All 😳 🤔?!??
Wow okay so you’ve never even heard of the musical! Let me explain it to an incompetent person like you: this movie takes place in the same *universe* as The Wizard of Oz with many of the same characters, but it isn’t a rip-off, think the Star Wars prequels. Except it has music and dancing. I don’t want to assume anything, but this doesn’t seem like it’s made for you. Thanks for being dumb! 😊😊
I really hope studios get motivated by the success of wicked and take more chances with practical effects
I could happily have watched Nathan scribbling away for two hours plus.
What an absolutely fascinating video.
I need a concept art book yesterday.
He is snatching that Best Production Design Oscar

When I heard the tulips were all planted it reminded me of the cornfield planted in interstellar so it’s cool to know it’s the same guy
I absolutely loved this! Who knew that a lot of this was not CGI. Master minds to make all this happen
What a talented human! Big bravo! I was immersed in this universe and can’t wait to rewatch it until Part 2! AMAZING
Munchkinland & The Emerald City looked incredible!
It is so nice to see real extravagant sets like this and not just CGI. It makes the film more magical in my opinion
In this world of computer graphics I'm astonished there's the time and money for practical effects.
I hope you'll make this kind of video for Wicked Part 2, too
It's truly marvelous and magical! The engineering and artistry is stunning and thoughtful. Beautiful! 💖💕

saw the movie last night, it was so beautiful, can’t wait for part 2!
this is beyond fascinating, thank you for sharing!
their dedication is UNMATCHED.

Agatha all along, wicked, all used practical effects and it turned out amazing we need more of that
I’ve been kinda turned off by all the Cynthia/Ariana PR drama but this single handedly made me wanna watch Wicked. Bring back practical effects!

the actors have said that seeing the movie with the cgi didn't make much difference to them because basically almost everything was practical
this is the same guy who had his team plant all the corn you see in Interstellar. bravo, sir.
I love his point of view regarding cgi! I hope more people in the industry take note
I watched it yesterday, it was amazing!!!!
this was so cool! thank you!
I could have watched this for hours!
Absolutely gorgeous
Love this
Genius👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I need Katie Melua remake her song into 9 million tulips. 😂
Very interesting
Would be cool to move the sets to universal orlando so people could walk through them.
Do you realise that the UK also has, y'know, people?
Masterpiece
I loved the movie! 💚
EPIC
This WICKEDNESS!

The OG Wizard of Oz had Zero CGI, because it simply did not exist. It would be criminal to use CGI as a crutch and expect a box office return.
Very interesting
💯
❤👏
shame it's all so ugly
Low rated movie, nothing special, all hyped
What?
Says the bozo with a harry potter screen name.
This movie is gonna flop
So this is a rip off of The Wizard of Oz; looks like garbage
