I get that the more you ride the bike the more wear and tear but if your like me I’m very ocd with cleaning my bike and having it run right , I think it’s good to try and get the most bang for your buck and riding it to its full extent while keeping it running mint !
It’s close to impossible to have 400 hours on a 250 without having some major major overhauls a few times. It still has a stock chain which we’re terrible on this gen. Just so ya know🤘
I put 200 hours on my 2015 and then decided to do a top end and the motor was still completely mint when I replaced the piston and stuff. You are right though that stock chain is a pos. I replaced mine within a month of buying the bike
GUYS I NEED HELP - sorry if this is a dumb question but i am a noob - im buying my first bike and my friend is going to sell me a 2012 yz250 2 stroke. do you think its too powerful of a bike to start out on? just curious what your thoughts are. it has a rekluse clutch on it so i feel like that will help with learning. i know most people would recommend a 125 or 150 to start out on but im getting a really good deal on it. im trying my best not to die on this thing. for reference im 6'1 165lbs
If you want a 2022 125 take your YZ and that KTM and trade them in. Save yourself some cash instead of financing it. You should get 35 to 4000 for thw KTM 35 to 4000 for the YZinger. And just drop a few hundred. But I don't what is like down south. I'm up north prices are a little different up here.

Idk if you know who tater450 is but his yz450f lasted 500hours before failure, so it’s very possible that bike had hella hours on it
