    The air forks on the 2015 250 Hondas are very good until you put about 5-10 hours on the bike then they have a little defect. they become very choppy and stick every so often, this happens with most 2015's but Honda wont admit/tell people about it. every 5-10 hours you have to take them apart and fix them. just make sure you know this before buying one!

    I had a Yamaha PW80 when I was around 12 and was wanting to get back into riding. I'm 17 now and someone was wanting to trade a 4wheeler for one of these. Will it be too much for me since I haven't rode in a while? I don't race or anything, just trail ride.

    hey dude pretty envious of your new bike! btw your shifting is super smooth, do you use clutch? let off? or just hold the throttle and shift?

      Im a bit split about the chest mount. It's nice to see another view for once, and its nice to see whats going on with the bike, and the movments. On a helment mount you wouldn't even know if the road someone is going down is bumpy or flat. On a chest mount you would notice very little bump, which is nice. Still kinda miss seeing more of the track ahead though.

    By sticking do you mean they wont rebound fully or they stay down. I have they same bike and my forks wont come up they are shy like an inch from the top. All my suspension people say its air pressure. have you fixed it yet?

    • @Chris619mx
      @Chris619mx  9 років тому

      That's exactly the problem we have, when ur done riding you can pull them up that little bit and sometimes they pop up themselves, you can feel it when it riding too. Honda has pretty much kept this secret I guess, they're not fixing it and not making it public I guess. We have to take ours apart every 5-10 hours of riding to keep them from sticking

    • @bmny319
      @bmny319 9 років тому +1

      the 250 & 450 use different air forks. My 2015 crf450r came with KYB PSF-2 air forks, but I swapped them out for some 48mm Showa spring forks with Race Tech springs.

    • @lucassmirniw297
      @lucassmirniw297 8 років тому

      ***** I said the crf125 if he has no experience. Either you are stupid and brainwashed or you misread my comment. You may not realize, but if you have no experience, a lot of power isn't a good thing. I've been riding motorcycles since I was 4 and the power of any 250 is not something to be messed with. Please read every part of my comment. You must have not read his comment either because he said no 2 strokes. Also if you look, I recommended the 250r if he had experience, but both of those bikes you mentioned are motocross bikes, and if he isn't riding motocross, there is a better choice out there. The crf125 is an excellent trail bike and I know riders with plenty of mx experience who ride them quite frequently as an mx bike. not for competition obviously, but I have ridden it and I can tell you it can do just about everything. Trail, track, wheelies, etc, it can get it done and it's also a great bike to learn on

      +Chris Bingham I'm in serious consideration of buying one of these bikes might I ask why do they need to be taken apart so often. Is it because of the switch from oil to air forks?

    • @Chris619mx
      @Chris619mx  9 років тому

      +Dan Thompson it's just that they start to stick, it gets less and less smooth going up and down, it's not a hard fix and yes it's because of the air forks

      +Chris Bingham sorry to keep asking so many questions dude. when you first got your bike how did you break it in? also what type of oil / weight do run. and should I change it after breaking it in right away or ride a couple hours? thanks bud I appreciate all your feedback .

    • @Chris619mx
      @Chris619mx  8 років тому

      b More Its all good man. To break it in you just basically go to a track or field and ride around at constant revs for a bit and then slowly ease in to getting faster, don't be hitting the rev limiter right away pretty much. And we use 10-40 in motor and maxima 80wt in the clutch/tranny. I would change it after your first ride, so like break it in ride around for however long and change it when your done. we haven't done anything to the motor other than oil changes ( over 150 hours) and everything is still in spec. needs a new top end now but it will last a long time if you take care of it. Don't forget to clean your airfilters ahah
