They will work even harder to push the message because they will perceive this success to be a threat to their cause. Woke people ALWAYS double and triple down.

Agreed. Even if they have an occasional "good" or successful movie, I will not support Disney with even one more penny.
Truth! Look at the projects lined up through 2027. They're almost all prequels, sequels, live action remakes, and more Mary Sue laden MCU and Marvel content. They're following the same model they've been following for about five years now. Since so many projects are already in production, we're going to see more DEI, identity politics, virtue signaling, and THE MESSAGE.
I don't expect Disney to learn a single thing from this.
We should still pray that they do.
They're not the ones that need to learn, their goals is to push the message and they're doing that.

Their last big billion dollar wins was Frozen 2 (2019) and Zootopia (2016)
As for Pixar. There was a time when anything Pixar made brought in a profit. Now a days, not so much.

I have good friends in Pixar who worked tooth and nail to make Inside out 2
It was a very important win for them So that way they can get back to making the movies that they love. And now they have the proof that it works.
I'm very proud of the crew behind it. It's a very well deserved success and hope they all get treated well

*_Inside Out 2_* is probably the ultimate double-edged sword for Disney: their first actual win in five years, but it means they now have no excuses for their failures.
Also, this film was greenlit by Bob Chapek before he was ousted. Same with *_Deadpool & Wolverine._*
Disney has had this kind of data for a long time and they've ignored it before. They have no problem lying to everyone.
It could also mean Disney now has a little extra cash to cover the losses from previous movies. As well as possibly funding more new trash. Time will tell.
This won’t change anything about Disney unfortunately.
I keep thinking that every time they get a “free pass” (or money in any way), they abuse that to create more sequels, prequels, and remakes. Instead of coming up with new stories and new characters without the DEI agenda/ “the message” crowbarred into it.

Which is just a sub-part of Disney, just like the hundreds of other companies they own.
My favorite part of Inside Out 2 was when the Imagination center of Riley's mind was depicted as a dungeon full of animators and a Big Brother type figure kept making them depict all sorts of scary situations, then Joy has come in and remind the Imagination animators to make things people like, which solves the issue. In Riley's world it's like she stops having nightmares.

I don't know... I THOUGHT Despicable me would earn oodles of money and throw inside out off its perk, but it has been out since last Thursday, so this weekend SHOULD have gone to despicable me if it was to be a big win... and it just didn't.
Looks like people just kind of lost interest. And I just watched inside out 2... It was good. It was actually good.
The only woke element is that the only white people for a whole movie centered about hockey is Riley and her parents... but while it was really odd to have only Riley as the white girl on Hockey camp, skin color never played into the story or themes, they were just there, and everything going on inside of Rileys head was good.

You know in another films which is not disney they always said that your body is changing when you hit puberty. So turning red is about that.

Back in the 90's and early 2000's I was seeing a new movie in theaters almost every week because the movie ticket prices were affordable and there were so many good movies out in those two decades. Now the quality of theaters has gone up and so have the movie tickets, but the quality of movies has gone down the toilet. I wouldn't be surprised if most people are only going to see one or two movies this year, if any. That's how bad the quality of movies has gotten.

It’s sad times when you have to have people pre-watch kids movies for you to make sure there is no inappropriate messages targeting children before you go watch a movie with your kids but here we are. My daughter wanted to go see this and I heard it was free of political messaging so we can go see it. Don’t be fooled though, i still don’t trust Disney and probably will never watch a movie again without it being pre screened first.
Disney is gonna go back to square one, and it wouldn’t be a surprise. 🙄🤦

Yeah, that prequel which is being made with the photo-realistic animation that no fan wants it to be made with, will get totally humiliated at the box office and ticket sales for it will get even more ignored due to it's theatrical release date being on the same day as the highly anticipated Sonic Adventure 2 inspired Sonic 3 movie, which soo many people worldwide still can't wait to see the first trailer of.😂 Though it has been rumored that that long awaited trailer may get released later this month, likely at the San Diego Comic Con event.

@@Hedgie3 It's the lion king. Disneys most successful franchise. They made so much cash with it. The trilogy, 2 shows, 1 remake (wich sucks) many games, getting added to they're games. This will do great. Wich is concerning cause if it will be a success than we'll get more and more and then it will ruin the story ruin the timeline and the worst thing we will only get lion king content from the style of the remake! I hope that it won't do that well. I mean yes it's the lion king my favourite movie of all time. But it bugs me that it's the style of the remake and I hate that remake.

Disney killed the golden goose. They had the ability to produce any movie and have it make a lot of money. Parents would take their kids to watch their content, no questions asked. Now that is no longer the case. The studio can still have hits. But it can no longer print money pushing out slop.
If the people from the first one made the second, they would be the sole reason for its success and I'm willing to bet it has nothing to do with a change of direction in how they operate.
That movie didn’t deserve that much money
On the flip side, this means people are NOT boycotting Disney. That means there movies the last couple years have just been so uninspiring that nobody simply wanted to see it, politics aside. That is good news for Disney but really proves their movies and shows have been seen as boring garbage rather than political propaganda in the eyes of the common man.

I have a feeling Disney will draw a "different" conclusion from this information and will continue what they have been doing in most of their products with an "everything is coming Milhouse" attitude.

It hurts me to say because of how much I loved Disney growing up but I have to agree with the other comments. This will not change anything. This movie was beyond mid. And while it didn't have any gay stuff, it was full of awful DEI diversity inserts. Riley's friends were black and a chubby Asian. The hockey girls were a Hispanic, Muslim with garb, black, chubby Asian again, short haired white chick with piercing, and the head coach was a black female........this is a hockey team people.
So it was still modern Disney.
Yet. It made a billion dollars!! Y’all didn’t think that would even happen so it can’t be that woke!!! Besides. Across the spiderverse from last year had many different races in that movie too yet it still made a billion

I took my grandchildren to see Despicable Me 4 yesterday and we thought it was brilliant. I’m super sensitive to wokeness and nothing in it ticked me off, so maybe there are still some highly talented, creative, non woke people still working at Disney who don’t think it’s their mission in life to indoctrinate their audience.
