Your videos are always very relaxing and beautiful however (my personal opinion) I would prefer to hear the wonderful natural sound of the train going over the tracks.
19:35 - between 1965 - 1976 my family used to holiday on the Norfolk Broads every July, and I used to stand on this road bridge overlooking Reedham Swing bridge and watch it open to allow yachts and small ships to pass along the River Yare; and then marvel at how the tracks would align accurately after closing so that trains could cross the river. Apart from the trains being more modern, not a lot seems to have changed in the past 45 years.
I was born in Beccles (during the War) but grew up in Oulton Broad - about 1/2 mile from Oulton Broad North station. Being a railfan since the time I could walk, I spent a lot of time trainspotting at OBN! Great memories - including the lousy weather!!
Greeting frm Malaysia...watched the whole amazing journey...i really had a piece of mind..wish to travel in the train one day...Great and thank you so much for the uploading...
20:41 the line on the right is from Great Yarmouth via Berney Arms. 31:59 the line on the right is from Great Yarmouth via Acle. 39:23 the line on the right is from Sheringham. 39:40 Site of Whitlingham station.
A lovely part of the Country and flat as only the Fens and Broads can be. Excellent vid but you can't control the Weather. It picked up towards the end of the journey, thank goodness.
@@nationalrailofficial Norfolk is driest part of the UK -- the Breck is semi-arid -- so it shouldn't be too difficult to choose a time when it's not raining to go filming, though.
@@johngrant4729 I completely agree. As one who used to live in Lowestoft and did this journey often, I can't recall many (if any) occasions when it poured solid!
2:48 Very strange that the line off to the left, the Lowestoft - Ipswich line, passes so very close to Oulton Broad North, ahead, but never had a platform !
To those that criticise the soundtrack on these NR videos, I agree its a pity we cant hear the sounds of the journey, NR wont allow recordings from the cab on privacy grounds but if you don't like the soundtrack you can mute it.
Oh I just commented on this about prefering the sound of the train on the tracks to the music. I didn't know about the audio restriction. I will delete my comment. Thanks.
I have been to Lowestoft but not on the train as I used to live in Norfolk. You should also do Great Yarmouth, Cambridge, Peterborough via Ely. And from Ipswich to Lowestoft, Felixstowe, Cambridge and Ely.
Hi! A lovely video and nice relaxing background music! I wouldn't mind some overlay text as is done on many route-learning ones giving junction names, a note of which centre supervises the route, speed limits shown in one corner, and if possible, approximate locations of former closed junctions and stations!

Thank you for this relaxing video. Love the music!
Superb video, love riding in the rain. Music so atmospheric, stunning. I live in, and love Norfolk. Perhaps I am biased!

There used to be a wonderful steel lattice footbridge here painted in white for pedestrians to get over the line when the barriers were down.

We were relieved too! 😌

Lovely scenery but I agree, can you make future videos without the music please? The journey speaks for itself, it doesn't need decorating.

I’ve been on this.

Pls can we see Birmingham line, I think it'll be really beautiful
Would've been better without the silly music.

No music thank you but I would rather the engine and rail sound.
You'd probably hear the train driver coughing and farting.
REMOVE THE MUSIC PLEASE
The music is annoying, detracting from the journey.
