Hi, I notice there are a few complaints about the backround music. For my part I like it very much and found it relaxing. A few subtitles would enhance it I guess. My part of Norfolk, along the A11 corridor is being covered with housing estates as fast as the builders can throw them up. So nice to see a lot of it is still the same as it has always been. Welcome to my office, I really enjoy driving this route. Obviously filmed a little while ago as the SP speed boards have now been replaced with MU ones. I guess these things take a while to put together though. Thanks though, I can now send this to my younger children and show them what I see when at work 😀
I love this part of the world and stay near Cromer from where I catch the train to Norwich or other stops along the way. The line also goes beyond Cromer terminating at Sheringham. A beautiful route from the coast, through the Broads and ending in one of the most attractive Cities in England.
Wow! Memory lane for me. I lived in Lower Southrepps from 78 to 89, went to Norwich City College from 78 - 82 so did Gunton to Norwich and back many, many times. I now live near Christchurch, New Zealand. But, still, Norfolk is so beautiful. Thank you for this film.
Maybe this soundtrack is suitable for a video about the cosmos. Perhaps train sounds are better suited to a video about train journeys? Add some information about what we are seeing, even better.
A brilliant video but would have liked the sound of the train. However, the music was very relaxing and better than no sound at all. Also, captions of features on the line would have been helpful. 8/10!
I enjoyed the video for what it was but, where is the narrative informing people who don't know the area, where the lines go to or come from as they branch off or join the line we are on? What are the names of the station we stop at or pass through? This video could have been so much entertaining if the viewer had a full picture of the journey.
Quite a number of large towns were passed through but didn't hav a station. In fact the first station was in the middle of nowhere. Imagine living in a town that has a train line running through it yet being forced to drive a car to there being no station.
You obviously live outside Norfolk. The only town the train stops is North Walsham, which has a population of around 10k. Please do your research before commenting.
I agree it’s a pity they didn’t film all the way to Sheringham as it’s the best bit of the line but I understand the quick turnaround at Cromer would make it difficult. Maybe film from the back cab? Going backwards but still would be worth seeing.
Beautifully filmed and a wonderful scenic route, but as others have said could have done without the music. Presumably aimed at the general public rather than the enthusiast. Best enjoyed with the sound off!

A great video, however, you would have had me on board had you have the ambient sound instead of the annoying background music. If I had to relax with music there are a zillion music channels available.

I'm giving this a dislike because you should've had captions on screen identifying the stations, whether stopping at or passing through them.

@@owentoller5280 It's a bit tricky as I'm pausing the video to read the signs on the stations, and the glare on the window of the loco can make it tricky to read those station name signs.
What would have been a very nice video completely ruined by a hideous soundtrack, like so many others. It would have been so much better to just have the sound of train on track.

I imagine if the microphone was switched on you would hear the driver coughing, farting, swearing or whatever. 😁

Thanks so much; I used to love in Cromer. No time to switch the camera to the other end for the final leg to Sheringham I guess.

Go to street map and note the landmarks , bridges, level crossing , stations etc , its what I did and followed it on the map

Union/company agreement - no audio recording in the cab. Two choices - listen to the music or mute it and listen to something more to your liking.
