"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2. The Holy Spirit also called the Spirit of Truth is our Helper, Teacher, and Comforter who gives us wisdom and discernment of God's Truth. Our part is to strive to live righteously, diligently study the Scriptures, and pray without ceasing. Yesterday, I watched a sermon on the focus of our worship [church services] evolving into singing. Although the introduction was based on the Scripture, the speaker continued by giving erroneous information that was not Biblically based. Right then the Holy Spirit told me to stop watching. We can never be deceived when we are led by God. Be blessed.

It is a very lovely song with good words & well sung only I like you don't like those two lines as they are not accurate & I would love to see the song writer change them slightly to align with the truth as they are important lines, so I won't be listening to it for that reason, otherwise I would add it to my list.
There are many who would like to change what God said, but He did not change what He said: "...so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."
We received the Holy Spirit in order to be changed, but here she speaks of unchangeability, one decided by God: through Christ we are God's children.
But once you state "He looks at me and wouldn't change a thing" you have destroyed the gospel message. Is that not one of the lies trying to reach us? Yes, it states some truth and she has a beautiful voice - but "a little leaven leavens the whole lump."
Maybe, I am just very old and cynical - please forgive me.

@@angelasirca1854 That is a wise way of looking at it ... but I doubt many Christians (especially new Christians) would see it that way. I fear it could be used as an excuse to sin ... "because God loves me just the way I am." Maybe I am being too pessimistic ... I hope so.
@@Ancient-Paths I agree with you ❤️, but how quickly when we make mistakes are we faced with discouraging thoughts? Where do these thoughts come from?
It comes from the devil!
When our children make mistakes, are they no longer our children?
Of course they are, so is our Heavenly Father.
