I just picked up an 08 manual few weeks ago. They are a blast to drive. Next step is rwd conversion and titanium straight piped exhaust

The manual V8 runs around 50k now. Nothing looks wise comes even close. Timeless design and the original LED headlight car that all your favorites copied.

Bmw had halos before Audi ever has leds but it wasn’t white or led it was so ugly yellow but yea if only bmw put white halos back in 1999 lol they would of beat Audi for led invention

Audi has a massive list of patients and firsts for the automotive industry. A few including the ASF (Audi Space Frame) in 1993, first 100% galvanized zinc coated bodies, stratified fuel injection, original roll-over testing, one of the original publicly sold AWD systems, WR/VR engine designs (V layout with a single head) and currently working on synthetic fuel.
They work hard to push the envelope. Its one of the reasons I've always liked them. Most cool features luxury brands have, are often copied or imitated from something Audi came up with.

This is the car that got me into cars frfr, always into tuners but i had NO idea about high end vehicles until i seen this in iron man and then i seen the car in person and that was it

Gated V10 R8's are the last of its breed! I own one and it's absolutely sublime! Even without forced induction. The values of these have skyrocketed in the last year. Sucks for anyone who didn't pick one up before the prices went ape shit! Future classic!

One of the best parts of the R8 is it's subtly and class, so I love that he didn't go over the top with garish wings and a widebody and whatnot.
Man Jasmine is that one car that REALLY stuck with me, hell its the main reason I’m in love with the 4G63 engine (and want to put it into a Renault Megane if I can get one in America) so to see it gone sucks and the evo Brianna had was absolutely stellar but this car TRULY was worth the sacrifice and awesome job James and Brianna . Great review as always David

@@konstantinosprouskas8106 I’ve always loved the sound of the 4G63 and prefer it over the F4RT (yes the actual engine code for the Megane is Fart) and honestly been trying for a few years to learn how I’d have to manage it still working it out
@@aaronmachado13 the f4rt is an amazing engine used in a lot of set ups. I owned a megane rs 270 and a clio 187
I don't believe there is a way for a 4g63 to be put in to a megane
@@konstantinosprouskas8106 I’ve tried working out the dimensions of it (the one I’m looking at is the 250 rather than the 265 or later generations) and honestly I respect the stock engine for what it is but I really just prefer the 4G63 platform especially with my connections, it’d be easier to work with rather than the F4RT because here in the states we never got it and it isn’t a desirable JDM car like the skyline, just parts for the car would end up killin me if I tried building that motor. So far only way I’ve figured it’d be able to work is getting a complete donor eagle talon since it uses a similar setup (FWD since most 4G63’s are used in AWD cars) still a work in progress just figuring out how to get it into the country so the engine swap would be years down the road

That Gated Manual is a thing of beauty.
This is my dream car setup.a supercharged manual v10 r8 it's the best daly driver supercar with probably the best trunk space and you rarely ever hear about them but with just a tune you can get 600hp.
Everyone buying up all the manual gallardos. And selling to them for rediculouse process. I just hope they keep ignoring the r8 side of the market until I can afford one

I was watching when he got smurf. Boost by mph looked allot slower then the boost by gear. (the evo) but more rowdy is more sketchy, which is more fun. That r8 is sick. Congrats

I feel like you get cheated a bit because you're not a mechanic. There's no reason you should have to put more then one jz in that car. You don't even run crazy HP.
I just picked up an 08 gated v8 and it's a great time. Gated v10s were just too much out of my price range.
Once I convert it to rwd and add a titanium straight piped exhaust it will be alot more fun.

Now I'm not saying I wouldn't get this exact supercharged R8 if I could do it financially later in life, but I strive to be the masochist daily driving a stripped down sports car until I am too old to drive.

2:09 I used to have a 1989 front drive Toyota Corolla SR5 and it used to make clicky noises after I took the shift boot off lol but it was pretty darn slow unlike this r8 car.
