I was fortunate to grow up in Page, spending countless hours exploring the beautiful back country in the area. Used to ride our dirt bikes through Upper Antelope and on further up Antelope Wash. Good memories 😊
We live there in 1977 1978 same here. Road dirt bikes all over, including through lower antelope, and up honeymoon trail, sold hodaka motorcycles at page tire.
I will never be able to get there.... but thank you so much for showing me how beautiful mother nature can be, just watched about some under water caves also... Huge big thanks...
Thanks so much for this super helpful video! We are looking to go in July and I was researching the best canyon to visit. This broke it down perfectly.
May should be great! Really, any time of year is good, but summer monsoon storms can lead to safety closures. I finally got to Antelope Canyon X recently, and loved their smaller crowds.
Yes you can definitely do both in the same day. Give yourself enough time between them, since Lower Antelope requires a drive outside town. Only a handful of tour companies are permitted to operate. For Lower Antelope, there are just two: Ken's and Dixie's. The tours are identical (and Ken & Dixie are siblings). All the options are in this blog: www.jaredsdetours.com/upper-or-lower-antelope-canyon/
Some of the tours on Viator will include both. You don't need a guide for Horseshoe Bend. It's just a walk in from the parking lot. I have info on seeing both Antelope and Horseshoe in the same day: www.jaredsdetours.com/horseshoe-bend-antelope-canyon/
If you're doing both in one day, I'd do Lower Antelope in the morning and Upper in the afternoon. If you're just choosing one, midday is best since the sun is highest and colors are most vibrant. Really, you'll be happy with your visit any time of day.
Yes! Antelope Canyon should be open on Christmas. You'll have to check the websites for the different tour groups for availability. You can also enter the Wave lottery, too ... www.jaredsdetours.com/the-wave-permit-lottery/
Thanks for checking it out! Yes, toddlers are allowed on both tours. Here's a bit from my blog on kids at Lower Antelope: Lower Antelope Canyon’s adventure starts right from the parking lot, so there’s no open-air Jeep-style ride out of town. Remember, though: Lower Antelope Canyon is full of ladders and steps, and narrow, single-file walkways inside the canyon. Babies and toddlers up to 3 year-olds are free in Lower Antelope.
Antelope Canyon X is best. Kayaking the lowest portion is my second favorite. Why is Lower Antelope 1/2 the price of Upper? Most importantly, how much should you tip the Navajo tour guide?
Yes, it's definitely safe... but can be a hassle depending on which part you visit. This blog has a section on children and toddlers: www.jaredsdetours.com/upper-or-lower-antelope-canyon/#h-can-you-bring-kids-to-antelope-canyon
You can usually book pretty close to your visit in the winter, but if you're going around spring break, I'd do it at least a month in advance just to make sure you can get the timeslot you want.
@@JaredDillinghamTravel will reach that point probably in July, during my 90 days across the country. I`ll try to book as soon as I can but I have around 500 points to check on the list so it`s kinda difficult to predict. But I found similar places in Capitol Reef for example so yeah, if it`s not gonna happen, at least I`ll get a glimpse of it somewhere else. Thanks!
This was an excellent breakdown of the tours and the differences between the two canyons. Thank you!
Glad you think so ... enjoy your trip!

Super helpful review. None of the reviews I have seen so far mention that videos aren't allowed in the Lower Canyon. Going with the Upper Canyon now.
Thanks for checking it out... enjoy your trip!
I'm planning a visit there and your video was the most helpful I've seen. Upper and Lower are both so beautiful. Great share friend 🥰🌵💞👍🏻
Thanks so much! Glad it was helpful

Thanks for checking it out!
Oh wow, thanks for the information! Did not know the differences
Both good options!
Thanks for your video. We will be going there this month.
Great- enjoy your trip!
I appreciate this video. I know which one to do now.
Glad it was helpful! Maybe you can do both :)
Thank you, your video was very informative!
Thanks, Kelly - glad it helped!
I thought you can’t bring backpacks?
Awesome canyon and place. Peace, love and harmony from your new friend.
if you only had the chance to visit only one, which one will you pick? Also, whats the best time to visit both ? (im going in May)
May should be great! Really, any time of year is good, but summer monsoon storms can lead to safety closures. I finally got to Antelope Canyon X recently, and loved their smaller crowds.
Omg, best video on the canyon! Short and informative! Do you know why videos not allowed at lower canyon? We plan to visit late September. Thank you!
The people who run the tours say they don't want videos to spoil it for future visitors. Thanks for checking it out!
Your video helps me to decide to go or not. Thank you !
I'm so glad!
Great video and helpful information Can I do upper and lower on the same day and can you recommend a tour company

I really don’t understand no video policy 🤷♂️. Is there a specific reason for this?
I think they want people to experience it themselves ...
Very insightful, Great video 👍👍
Thanks for checking it out!
When you go with on of the tours, can you go see the horshoe bend? or is there a time to go back to their main office?

@@JaredDillinghamTravel So is it the same parking lot from ken's tour? if i go to horshoe bend
@@NiwradarwiN23 No, the Horseshoe Bend lot is just south of Page on a different highway.
Great video. Thanks !!!
You bet!
Cam you do Lower Antetelope without a guide ?
No, guides are required for all parts of Antelope Canyon
@@JaredDillinghamTravel even the upper part? I thought that was on Navajo land.
@@carmencarrillo5900 Yes, I believe the Navajo Nation gives permits to 5 companies to run the guided tours to Upper Antelope.
What time of d day is the best for lower n upper antelope

I am going there for Christmas. Are Antelope, wave, and Grand canyon open for Christmas???
Yes! Antelope Canyon should be open on Christmas. You'll have to check the websites for the different tour groups for availability. You can also enter the Wave lottery, too ... www.jaredsdetours.com/the-wave-permit-lottery/
The South Rim is open year round but they do close the highway from Jacobs Lake to the North Rim during the winter.

Fewer people are allowed into Upper Antelope on a daily basis, so they can charge more. Tipping is up to you!
Gracias
Its friendly for child for upper ?
Yes, kids are allowed at both. Upper doesn't have the big ladders to climb down.
Hi Jared, what focal length did you use to take the photo at 3:00?

Like they gonna know with your pro camera if you switch from still to videos lol
Masks still required?
Yes, they're still required but you can take them off for photos, etc.
Update: the Navajo Nation just dropped the mask mandate.
I love you in the name of Jesus
