The plan was to record the interview in 10 mins but once I sat down with the lads we talked pike fishing and lure fishing for well over 2 hrs. Genuinely lovely guys. And I am am glad you enjoyed it.
What a stunning fish, well done Dan and Steve for netting it. I wouldn't have wanted to be responsible for netting somebody's fish when it's that size. As you said, the photos do it justice, something that often doesn't happen with huge pike. It'll do wonders for the sale of Miuras Meeces.
Nope, there have been 7 fish over 45lb and the UK record is currently 46lb 13oz caught in Wales, and the English record is 46lb on the nose. UK lure caught record is 45lb 6oz from Wales.
Ady Woodchucker good stuff man! I live by the river.. so doubt there’s much chance of getting one this size but good on ya! I reckon I’ll fish some ponds too eventually
@@Nathan-zv3hs fish of this size are mega rare, I would like to say that they are in my rivers but I would say only the broads has a chance of producing pike or vet 40lbs.
Ady Woodchucker I live on the Norfolk broads, my PB is only a 20.. but there’s something I enjoy about wild fish! I’ll go for the pet pike one day if all goes quiet hah!
Hella pike ady Top lure that one I’m really surprised the Americans haven’t been smashing muskies on em No one seems to have even heard of em over the pond Hope you’re all good mate and getting out a bit yourself 👍👍
The captors seem to be very genuine guys and having seen the photos and particularly the depth of the fish, I certainly have no reason to doubt what is a fantastic capture. It is a great shame however to see and hear the doubters on other forums.......
People are always doubt captures for two reasons. Jealousy and Jealousy but what is sad is the fact that most have never been lucky enough to see a fish of that size in the flesh and hopefully they never will 😉
@@AdyWoodchucker Agreed, but the boys who caught her will always have the memory of the capture and no one can ever take that away from them, no matter how much others might complain!
When you have a couple of walking billboards who say one thing, then forums with lots of seasoned well known, well respected big pike anglers (with no corporate affiliations) saying another. You can see where the doubt come in.
It is a stunning fish but it doesn't look 45. In no way am I jealous or anything but it looks a mid 30. What happens if it comes out again and weighs considerably less than said weight? Will the lads admit it wasn't or will it be a case of only kidding themselves on.
Even watching Dan on your video reliving the moments was awesome. Well done Dan and Steve and thanks for the upload Ady.
Cheers

Cracking content, keep it going if you get time, and appreciate your tips

That would be the New UK record then?. As the previous record stood at 44lb 12oz.
Potentially, English lure caught record.

A fish of that size is an old fish so it may never come out again. It would be nice if it came out to another angler but only time will tell.
Don't look 45lbs.
Thats an amputee crocodile not a pike i aint having it 🤣
😂
No chance that's a 45 🤥
Shit I’ve subbed Yeats ago and I never see your vids! YT algorithms!!!! Ffs
I think you need to click on the bell and that notifies you when a new video comes out Geoff.
@@AdyWoodchucker oh yeah....I didn’t do that! 👍 happy days mate
I'm speechless Dan ,absolutely f*ckin speechless . Seen my fair share of big pike over the years but NOTHING like her
I know exactly where this is, it’s local to me it’s also done another 40 before and numerous 30s
