With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based from the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

The Criterion is the ball that caught my attention last year most. As I'm speed-dominant (not that I have a lot of it), these looked appropriate for heavy oil conditions. They'd smoke all my Zones.

Sorry to be off topic here, but could you please share your opinion on ball reconditioning? Seems to me that most of the high end balls, specially the non pearl covers, need to be reconditioned often, or they lose a lot of their performance. It seems like my Black Widow 3.0 started to lose its hook potential after the first four weeks. And I clean it after every session and wipe the oil off after every frame.
Not to jinx you but I have to admit I was waiting on the 8 pin because....A. It has been a while since we have seen one, and B. after leaving the 7, 9, and 10, the 8 was the only pin missing.

So I’ve watched all 3 review videos. In your opinion what is the best game 2-3 ball between the criterion hybrid, hypnotize, & black widow mania?
I start off with either the mesmerize or hammer effect tour depending on what’s working. I’m more comfortable around the 25 zone
Just from coverstock, depending how beat up your lanes get from other league goers, criterion hybrid and the mania would be game 2-3 territory!

I have learned to love the reverb but the core numbers in that ball are a little more sensible. Do you bring both to your next tournament. What about that ball and the hypnotize. It is still very loud when it hits the pins like the original. You look like a kid in a candy store throwing it

I have this ball pre ordered.. the pro shop guy in my town is brand new and he drilled one of my balls and the track is running over my thumb. Could you by a chance send me a DM possibly on what layouts I can use to not track over my thumb. 2 3/4 over 1 1/4 up. Average rev rate 540. 19.5 mph. Axis Tilt - 9. Rotation 80.
When you say "compound" what does that actually mean?
I think this is the first time you played up the boards rather than just throw it out to 5 all the time.
Factory Compound is a rougher polish that is used on a lot of our shiny bowling balls.
Your first two shots are always from the same spot lol. If you cant land on 15 just skip it.

@brunsnick its like watching a car race, specifically a roll race. Their first run they say theyre gonna start at 15 and then the 2nd at 25 yet both runs start at 25. Seems kinda silly, no? If you have a drift, which seems to be 8 boards, start on 7.
