"Suspiciously wealthy furry" is an oddly appropriate way to describe Roquefort out of context.

I think my favorite thing about Roquefort is the mislead. In the first part of the level, you fight a samurai robot chef, and then when you walk in his office it's nothing but Samurai armor and Japanese inspired architecture. So you might be thinking his robot enhancements are of the MGR variety.
And then he transforms... into a robot werewolf. It's great.
and the only hint is that Korsica mentions his reputation as wolf in sheep's clothing. it was subtle hint but pretty clever. that whole level design was good.
also in his office you see a giant wolf painting in japanese style

Honestly a Hi-Fi Rush book would also be pretty awesome. It’s clear that there’s a ridiculous amount of lore for this word which we only see a little bit of. It would be so cool to have a Peppermint prequel or something that leads straight into the game.
I knew I'd enjoy the whole video, but the IMMEDIATE screaming when Peppermint blushed at Korsica was my EXACT REACTION.
I actually think peppermint might be bi since the way she acts around chai is pretty affectionate, and her voice actor is Bi as well, nothing concrete but decent possibility, but yeah shes definitely got the hots for korisca and her affection towards chai could just be friendship, let's call her lesbian till proven otherwise.

Frankly, a show would be a downgrade. what makes this game special (and well, pretty much every video game) is that you get to experience it first hand. Don't get me wrong, animating to music is already super difficult, but making a game around it is just a whole nother level of insane due to how many moving there are in video games.
Funny to think how that one specific text collectible about a Robot making the coffee machines serve decaf as a revenge ended up having mentions in Stage 4 (Korsica) and the final Stage (Kale)
That one smalm detail... I watched many gameplays so I thought it was a small joke but never seen a gameplay that found that note so I never knew the context... now that I know it... it makes more sense

@@testhekid Invaders Must Die is a song by The Prodigy that plays in the fight in the cafeteria. But due to copyright can't be played on stream. So a new song was made for the game called Intruder that is similar but legally distinct enough to not be flagged. Streamer mode in this game basically does the same to all the copyrightable songs in the game which is actually pretty cool.

okay, I think I can see which direction the sequel's gonna go, Kale didn't make SPECTRA. he just had a hand in making it, then got the keys to use it as a trial run while the fellas who actually made the damn thing is keeping another version of Spectra away.
Spoiler: spectra made two not one. It's shown through the bonus doors
I feel like the threat being Spectra all over again would kinda be a bit of a bummer. something _based off of_ it (in-universe), but different, would work a lot better. say for example they found a way to use that kind of tech on people who didn't get any cybernetics, and stopping it from being fully developed was the goal. it would keep the same theme going, but up the stakes

Personally I prefer the licensed music. Fits the game better since it's a literal music player in his heart. Really makes it feel like we're listening to a Spotify Playlist. Not only that a lot of the music is adjusted to fit the fame for example free radicals. Plus NOTHING beats Whirring and Invaders Must Die. Those are my 2 favorite parts of the game. Not to say the original music is bad it's actually great and a lot of it is on par with the licensed I just prefer the former.

@@13thKingMu yeah listening back through the soundtrack some of the non licensed stuff is waaay better for example Mimosa. Generally I still prefer licensed but both versions are great. (Also Whirring is irreplaceable imo)

I'll be honest I had work the next morning when I finished the story...but after the reflections scene, I could not stop. I was up 2 hours past my bed time finishing the game. I also got the best scores I had throughout the game after that...I feel like the heightened emotions just further boosting myself to the beat,

As much as I think that having a streamer mode was a good decision, and that the original songs aren't bad, I REALLY wish she played that final level with the OG music on. It plays "Whirring" by The Joy Formidable, and it was a peak choice, I had never felt that powerful playing a game before.

Fursuits often cost upwards of $2000, and furry r34 is very common on the internet. They are paying artist to create this media which calls into question why they have so much money.

Roquefort might be the second "worst" boss to me.
Sure he's not Zanzo who you can barely call a boss but Roquefort was absolutely confusing.
He has three phases that are... kinda the same tbh, His defeat is... WTF levels of bs (but still kinda funny), and his fights slow down as soon as he reverts to his human form. The only thing that saves him is his *sheer, unapologetic, absurdity.* He's literally an evil, furry, werewolf banker with a Scrooge McDuck coin room. And his transformation is cool.
This game is bloody amazing. I recall last episode someone compared it to Forspoken? I don't know what that is (Nor do I care based off of reviews I've heard), but Hi-Fi Rush strikes me more as a rhythmic Devil May Cry. You've got insane combo potential, and Chai is pretty much Nero but dummy stupid. Also there's a variety of videos where DMC players play HFR.
P.S In the event it managed to slip by you: Peppermint started moving closer to Korsica before Chai dropped in at 1:59:28.
