Arriving late reminds me of the story of one of Musashi's duels.
What a good man being a good sportmanshipand letting magnus have the same time as him because magnus was late
Why do people allow for these extremely disrespectful and repeated delays from Carlson?
I agreed. He is always late
As long as he wins it’s not disrespect it’s humiliation
@@katiekaty888Why are you bumming him? It's extremely disrespectful to be late, even if he does win.
those are the rules
Chess is about who the best is.
Any prideful player wouldn’t want to take Carlsons #1 spot without besting him for it
Magnus is so disrespectful.
Carelsen had in fact 110 seconds on his clock.
30+(80 sec for the 40 moves of the game).
Wild behavior from a “pro”. Grow up
The other players are tired of waiting for Magnus arrival. Magnus is tired of waiting the opponents' next move.
I just went through all the comments (as you are doing now), and I am absolutely stunned at the extent of this "debate". The word that not one person has mentioned, but is *everything* to explain what happened is "Integrity". Chess is a gentleman's game, same as golf, billiards, etc. Naroditsky is a Grand mother f'ing Master- part of the elite. If you knew *anything* about being a true competitor, you'd understand that Naro told himself "no chance I'm getting an asterisk next to this win- I will try to win man to man- no advantages to either."
This is not opinion. This is one HUNDRED % what happened here.
That’s really disrespectful. He def knows what time the match starts
Magnus SACRIFICES......THE TIMMEEEEE TO WINNN THE GAMEREEEEEE
I used to be very good at Chess, but my brain has slowed down as I've gotten older and I have big trouble dealing with People [Social troubles]. I was nowhere near these Guy's level, that game was hard to even tell what was going on! Amazing to watch!
Its okay, just learn again. Chess is a game of life too.
Don’t worry, no one is near that guy’s level
Magnus is legit insane
and cocky and disrespectful and a baby when he loses.
@@hoyvintagecycles2936That has nothing to do with his skills in chess lmao
@@hoyvintagecycles2936 When he loses, he blames himself. That's not being disrespectful
@@sebastiangonzales46 It's also not true. These people are ignorant gits.
@@donkbonktj5773 literally blamed Hans and ragequit a tournament
Just three legendary people in the same video, Daniel showing his amazing sportsmanship, Magnus pulling it off in mere 30 seconds of initial time & the commentator making all that sound really exciting even when there is nothing happening.
1:29 you know it's a good game when they start analyzing sitting positions.
And still has time for a handshake 🤣👍
he just keeps doing this because it goes viral everytime
More than a gentleman he was smart, because, imagine winning this having that kind of advantage.
I was low key expecting him to do his "adjusting pieces" shenanigans lol
Daniel should be a gold commentator after this. From nothing with excitement :D
I think it's very rude and unprofessional when GM chess players show up late to competitive matches.
The fact that this is not uncommon for Magnus means this is just plain rude. If someone does this to me i dont even care about having an advantage, i dont want one. Just uncool
Edit: also. Why is it "unbelievable" for the clocks to equal out?? Lol, obviously the player would take advantage of the extra time to think (or they are letting the time equal to not have an advantage) either way, of course the times are going to equal back out hahahaa
I also appreciate how everyone else is all buttoned up clean cut prim and proper and magnus comes barreling in in a hoodie and sparkly sweats. You can dress however you like when you’re world champ
Honestly….the narrator of this game is phenomenal. That’s some quick speaking for some fast and complex content
magnus ajdusting his pieces twice while his time was running was a sign to kovalev that he can stop being nice to him by taking so long for his moves
Very impressive play by Magnus Carlsen with only 30 sec. left on his clock
Who wins ? Black or white ?
@@Bijuu007magnus won, but he only really won cause black was being a good sportsman and intentionally played slower to even out the time to have it fair
30 seconds in Chess is not really 30 seconds. What a joke.
how come Kovalev resigned the game? surely he could have lost his pawn to magnus ruck and then took magnus' ruck with his own and then went back up the board and around the back of magnus' king to take the advancing pawns?@@CosmicStar3
@@s1dew1nd3r4 Idk I’m not Kovalev
Such a disrespect to his opponent, he should have just retreated after arriving and saying sorry
Why would he.
@@muzoshBecause he was late to a scheduled game. Just because you haven't been brought up properly and so have no sense of respect doesn't mean it isn't. WhY wOuLd hE. I hope you're late for your next job and get fired.
How is Magnus giving his opponent a 2:30 advantage “disrespectful”?!
His opponent should be grateful!
It’s amazing how some people are so victim-oriented that they make themselves out to be the victim even when their opponent is GIVING them a huge advantage!
Grow up already and stop with the victim mentality mindset.
Crazy how a channel can have 1.37 million followers and only like 155 likes

Props to the commentator for making a game where nothing is happening as exciting as possible 😅
Great commentry.. feels like a heavy weight championship match 😄
