That just indicates Sagar’s sharp brain 🧠. He thinks faster.

every time when an opponent wants to do a postmortem with Magnus, Magnus shrugs his shoulders, grimaces as if to say "I don't know; it could've gone either way, who knows?" Every single time.
Little wonder. In Magnus' case, a postmortem comes down to a free lesson.
The secret is not on the board. It's in his secret supply of water bottles. No wonder there is global warming everywhere. He is draining all the water away from everywhere 😅
@@sreethozhis brain must be operating like a supercomputer, it needs constant cooling otherwise it overheats
@@davidmdertu1267 I agree. He might also bring a mini oxygen tank. Then he will be virtually invincible. That would be cool to see him sitting in a scuba diving gear and annihilating his opponents.
No free advice, the game was enough of a lesson I think
I am a big fan and supporter of Magnus but we can't take anything away from Gukesh who is only 17 years of age and did so well. I'm now a fan of Gukesh as well. I know he will have a bright future. Plus I'm very impressed like how he carried himself and the clothes he wore as well. All the indian players are great ambassadors of the game.
Congratulations to Magnus also.
Well, Magnus already had the highest ELO ranking when he was 17.
@@wolfgangdevries127not everyone is magnus, stop comparing
@@wolfgangdevries127No he didn't, he only had it in live rating. So basically Magnus achieved less than a 17 year old Gukesh did when he was 17.
@@tanish9267 the video compares nr. 1 Indian player with nr. 1 Mr. Carlsen. I only was elaborating.

This commentator is great and helping me as a beginner, thank you!
same and i am not beginner.
Nah he’s annoying he sounds like he watched the game before and now this low key spoiler commentary!!

“Magnus of course, one of the best in the world.” Broo he’s THE best!! 😂
best got beast game wth gukesh
yeah that's exactly my comment (0:17), one of the best was comical
He was referring to chess engines
Indian's have hard time admitting Magnus is the best..
@@teofanstevkovski2472 magnus is goat bro bakra
What a masterpiece by Magnus! Also, nobody on youtube does better recaps than Sagar! Thank you for this wonderfully explained game recap! Cheers!
Cheering up Sagar as well ! There is no match for the work he puts in these presentations, it's balancing act to not sound arrogant judging which btw absolutely NO united statian is capable of. They all come across as xenophobic ego centered j... sses even when they try not to.
Vidit in the beginning of the video was like :- "Feeling so sorry for you bro"😂
He's meditating
The way you explained and appreciated Magnus's "quiet-yet-brilliant" move at ua-cam.com/video/VGx9DLKpNJY/v-deo.html to retreat the king to avoid the bishop check, was the highlight for me. Thank you for that, your love and appreciation for the game comes through and your commentary just takes the enjoyment of the game to the next level. Looking forward to more from you!
This commentator is just the best. I love how he puts words in the players' mouths as if they're actually saying what he says they're saying on every move.
I think the only reason that Magnus loses is he feels too confident in his move that sometimes he overlooks moves. But in terms of deep calculation and gut feeling in chess, there's no better man alive than that guy.
Maybe there is but the world is not aware.
@@surajshokeen8034Yes, Me!
At that level the sub-conscious does all the work and provides the answer to the conscience. It's as if stockfish is telling you what to play except it's your subconcious. and it also tells you why play like that.
We don't know what will happen in today's game. But we do well know that Gukesh will consistently be in the top 5 in a span of two years or so. Huge thanks to Vishy Sir for creating an ecosystem to rear and groom these teenagers.
If you can't win a fucking championship or a big tournament then what is the use of be in the top 5
Exactly WACA playing a great role here.
the "groom these teenagers" part doesn't sound right
No guarantees in the chess world. Many player come and go quickly
groom these teenagers?
The most instructive move at 13:20 was kinda in accuracy told by hikaru like there was better way to push those pawns rather than to directly go
Hikaru didn't specify a line that allowed for that setup. It took him a lot of moves to push those pawns in that way. Magnus isn't going to waste that many tempi and allow Gukesh to do that. As Hikaru mentioned, Magnus has pawns that he can push immediately, so it's a race.
Gukesh got the toughest of the toughest Opponent. But this is war, you go all out, either you end up here or there. Nothing to be afraid of, Go for the kill today, Gukush.
This guy is a very good commentator, i hope your channel becomes very popular
Listening to this man comment on chess is the best background for my work day. Phenomenal commentary and knowledge of the game
Nice detailed analysis on this channel.
Where to stream these matches live?
Great channel. Enjoyed ure commentary and analysis
The line magnus one of the best of players throws me off a bit. He is arguably the best the best to play the game.
brilliant game by Carlsen, it's not only the endgame, he sets it up perfectly throughout the entire game. In the face of the ferocious brilliant attack by Gukesh it makes it even better. Best game of the tournament.
I'm new to the channel.. This recap is one of the best I've seen
I was waiting when were you gonna post this video, and finally
Even magnus lost to vishy when he was a teen but later learnt from those losses and became much better, I am sure gukesh would become much better in future
That's what Sagar said in chessbase india
Magnus adjusting the pieces after time start ticking is some flex..!!
Know the Indian dude trynna be cold at the start and then Magnus at the end be like ‘Meh’ 🥶🥶
Why did that standing person rake their papers where they noted each move ? Asking as a complete beginner.
And is there a place to see the full game's moves ? Id like to check it out for more analysys.
Best commentary and visuals. Made it look more interesting and thrilling.
The London System is an opening system in chess where White opens with 1.d4 and develops the dark-squared bishop to f4, then supports the d4-pawn with pawns on e3 and c3. The other bishop is developed to d3 (or occasionally e2) and the knights typically to f3 and d2. This set-up often results in a closed game.
what unbelievable commentary . fun game.
Rukesh 😂 that got me.
Why are the players leaving? Do they play another game in the same time?
I am Brazilian. UA-cam sujest this chanel for me and i love it👏👏👏
Sir, you are a very good commentator.
The difference in rating is not that huge but the talent and level of knowledge the gap is clear.
The Young GMs lack the killer instinct and creating magic on board and the only way to learn that is by playing tough players and experience.
So enjoy the game and learn from the mistakes.
Learn from the best
GOAT is sitting next to you.
How lucky to play GOAT enjoy the Game young GM u can play as well like that maybe not now but surely in near future.
Actually the rating gap is really huge
elo rating is worth more after u reach 2750+,than below that
its very hard to gain elo rating especially after u reach 2800
So tbh,the rating gap is still very big
young people usually win by tactics or positional dominance but lack endgame skill
0:20 not one of the best, he is the best!
you have to avoid endgames against magnus, this guy is just 10 moves ahead of everybody else - even when drunk
How do you avoid endgames with him 😂😂

Great composed from Gukesh
I wish the editing was done so when you are done showing all the variations and the best move then the live next move occurs. Too many times you were explaining moves and the next move occurred on the edited feed and you're trying to remember b4 and after. Your explanations and theory are great, simply explain and demonstrate then edit and show the next move, thanks
fantastic endgame played by Magnus! deep understanding..i still have a lot to learn..thx
19:31 bro said rookesh💀💀
Opening is now so familiar..you need to be tough at endgame
I like watching how the two chess players talk to each other analyzing the game after it ends
Exellent commentary
U could see before the game even started he knew it would be a lesson more than anything else. Respectfully played
Great analysis it really helps to understand what's going on!
Gukesh got destroyed, Magnus totally shut down his abilty to generate any threats and then easily finished him off in the endgame.
What differs magnus from other top players is that he is overpowered in endgame
You mean he OVERPOWERS, he is NOT overpowered
@@rockhenaten in traditinoal english you are right, in online gaming slang voldemordable is right. And because of the context, everybody understood what he was trying to say, which is the main purpose of language.

That’s why he’s the goat 🐐. THE GOAT 🐐!!!!
19:31 best word by IM sagar "Rookesh" 😂
trying to win when you dont realize a draw is possible and becomes the only option makes chess a brutal game.
It’s amazing because now that magnus made semi finals and refuses to play candidates that means the #69th player in the world has just made a candidates tournament
One of the best in the world??? Magnus is the GOAT!
I ve a question Uf u ve dat many moves in ur mind then y u r not playing against Magnus. MR Commentator
gukesh really did a great job , he almost got a draw with no 1 chess player!
Great analysis and very good game !
20:13 Idk why the match ended Isn't there still a chance? Why did he give up? He could move rook B8 then E2 then completes the plan to bring queen then the board is in his hands
I can't understand why other people also give up before trying or really getting to the last point
Boss
Your moves are distributing
Please just explain what players move
Time for Gukesh to work on endgame and dominate the chess world. We are in the endgame now. 😅
yeah. i think theres over a billion folks in india and hes number 1 ? thats amazing and scary hes only 17. most impressed he asked for insight at games end. he will keep rising.
Pretty difficult against Magnus who is GODTIER (not just GOAT) of endgames. It'll atleast take 5yrs for him & he has far more than that so that's +ve.
He should ask Magnus to be his teacher, just like Kasparov Magnus relationship
@@melzzMagnus likes Pragg more 😅
@@LokeshKumar-90Why so? Just curious. 😬
Is it because Praggs has beaten Magnus more?
Or, is there some parallel comparison like his rivalry with Vishy?
I learned so much. Great video
That's the difference between india no.1 vs world no.1
tbh it's the difference between Magnus and anyone else. He just understands endgames on a level that no other human ever has, which is kind of incredible when you think about it.
wow what a genius you are for commenting the most obvious thing in the world!! I think common sense is not so common for you bruh
@@ilyasali4868 Wow that was an unnecessarily aggressive response to a perfectly normal comment. What's up dude?
@@noone-ld7pt I was not replying to you bro!! at least you mentioned about his endgame skills and all, but the main comment was just unnecessary, everyone knows that in any game there is a difference between champion and other players, but it doesn't mean anything because there are times when he also has faced defeats from world no 39 or above that also many times one after another!! what would he comment on that scenario!! all of us knows magnus is the best but commenting the obvious feels unnecessary
@@ilyasali4868 I know you weren't responding to me, my response was to your attack on him. Sure his comment is obvious but it is also just very recently true that Gukesh is Indias nr 1.
Ofcourse it's not a groundbreaking statement but this is a youtube comment section not a pulizer prize forum, I personally don't think there is anything idiotic about his comment and I think you attacking him and basically calling him stupid is completely uncalled for.
Oh wow... Gukesh is only 17 y/o ?! That's insane. What did they say at the end though?
Gukesh :" Did you also have a bad stomach?"
Magnus :" Yeah, had to go to washroom a few times."
Gukesh :" Me too."
Hahahaha I see them kept getting up from their seat.
c3 "makes a little luft"???? Is that German for air somehow in the chess vocabulary?
19:30 The movement when Gukesh realizes he is Rookesh...What Rubbish!!! 😂
I heard Grookesh.
why do they have to turn in their own moves by hand? they can’t have someone document the moves for the match?
Its just a match I'm not crying 🥹
Brilliant magnus crushing ppl and their chess minds, respect to the young fella for hanging with the goat
15:00 here black will obviously go bxc4 first then take g2. white will not even have doubled pawns but only one b pawn. gukesh would have never gone for that unless he knew it was a theoretical draw
He’s 17??? Man he’s a beast 🔥👑
17 going on 35 with all that hair
Sagar's narration could be a Python skit. That's praise!
good game magnus is really abeast in the ends Gukesh is also good player
Iam cheering for India !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good thing Hikaru doesn’t care about losing to Pragg. He doesn’t care about winning (he said) the World Cup because he already won a few minor tournaments this year! 😂
He simply doesn't care😂
Yeah he simply can't win against pragg.
Freakin simulation reality, I have never looked up, mentioned, talked, and etc about chess. I’ve been thinking about chess lately because I like it and think about its benefits. But somehow the damn algorithm knew I was thinking about chess and has been spamming this damn Magnus #1 player videos. How!? How!? I’ve never watched a chess video on UA-cam? How dafuq does UA-cam know I’ve been thinking about chess?!
Idk but I finally clicked on a magnus video and watched it. No idea what’s going on because I haven’t played chess in 10+ years. But good for these dudes and keep grinding brothers and sisters.
Endgame Mozart! 💯
Rook endings can make greatest of the great slip up! No shame, only a computer can save such positions against Magnus Carlsen!
I am from Bangladesh. Where we use almost like an Indian accent. But though i feel Indian English accents are funny. 😅
What is the point to writing down each move after every move? Genuine question. I've only ever watched and played Blitz chess.
Just for record keeping.
Hi i m new to chess, what are they writing down?
I think they are writing down each move that is made in the game using chess notation
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algebraic_notation_(chess)
Both players have a lot of time on their clocks in this game however in games where there is much less time available the players probably won't be writing down their moves like this
what if in 6:05 Gukesh had played Bidhop F4 to E5?
Plz Can Anyone Tell Me What They Writing on the paper after a move
Writing down the move they have played
@@rifasadique thank you bro
First time i heard Gukesh name. But amazing player he is. Well played
19:29 "Rookesh" jajaja, love you Shagar
The standard reply after everytime Carlsen wins, is shrinking his face to 2x and shrugging like 'I don't know'
Very good commentary, now I understand better
The commentator is a GOAT😂
I'm no chess player can someone tell me what they are writing down? And if it's their moves why would they bother writing it down as everyone watching are most probably recording the movements
black advance his own pawn from f7 to f5, white should maintain his lead by then pushing a4 to a5, instead of sacing prematurely with the advancing pawn. he can eventually trade with c3 pawn instead. black can not pull the rook to defend the left structure in time, and if he does white can make moves on the weakly protected king and/or pawn structure of the right side. trade pawns or pin pawns or something.
When Guk traded off one of the rooks, it was at this point that he was hoping for a draw. But Mag already thought ahead with his 2 center pawns. The GOAT prevails once again in the endgame.
Why they are noting down every move? There is a lag!
Its actually easier to draw with two rooks than one. But he was in a position where he was forced to trade rook or go two pawns down.
I love this guy Gukesh. From BD
What are they writing in the notebook?
Gukesh had a free rook ending lesson from Carlsen
I am new to chess and I want to know why they taking notes right after each move, could anyone explain?
It is the way to write moves.
hmm, but why do they write them?@@DivyanshuTentawar

To be 17 Gukesh is something special. He and the Uzbekistan youngster are the 2 best players of their generation imo
14:47 big mistake. it was should be c3>c4
Gukesh will be the superstar and no.1 chess exponent in the world and not Pragg. It was very clear here, although he lost this game, his overall placement of his pieces and the way of his conduct suits him as the greatest Indian hope
The best that has ever been
