      @Zyaire Heath thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out atm.
      Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

    I ordered a Ready Set Go set yesterday, I have been quilting for about 6 years, I really don't like cutting so I am hoping this will be a smart purchase. The order included 8 inch block set and 2 1/2 strip die.

      That is so exciting! We'd love to see your first finished project using the GO! once it is completed.

    Super cool. Question: how many times can we use each dye cutters before we have to replace them? I'm constantly changing out my rotary cutters and sharpening my shears, I'm assuming these will have to be sharpened as well? Great video 💙🐝💙

    Wish yal could zoom in where you lay the fabric.....

      Yes, I would like to see that too! It is not clear. My strip does not have the line placement shown in the video. The guide line is in the same place as the video but the opposite end is a few more inches inward. It does not have a line where the blades stop on both ends. I keep cutting strips that are not separated at the end. I have to cut them apart with scissors. What am I doing incorrectly? Please advise.

    I just wanted instructions on how to fold lengths size strips on straight grain of the fabric.
    70" inches long?

    Can I cut a strip that’s shorter than the die? Ex if I need a bunch of 10” strips. I don’t have enough fabric to cut longer and discard the excess.

    • @accuquilt
      @accuquilt  2 роки тому +2

      Yes you can, you would just need to rough cut your fabric to the length you want to cut it.

    Does this die prevent the “elbow” in the middle of the strip which happens when I cut with a rotary cutter and even a Fiscar’s cutter? Thanks, Pam!

    What are the lines for, cutting in the bias?

    • @accuquilt
      @accuquilt  3 роки тому

      The lines on the die are just guidelines for when you want to cut squares and diamonds. There is also one that shows you on one end where the blades end.

    how do I make them longer than just width of fabric so I dont have so many seams in borders

    • @accuquilt
      @accuquilt  3 роки тому +1

      Since the strip dies do not need to follow the Lengthwise Grain rule you can turn the fabric the length of your yardage and fanfold up to 6 layers of quilters cotton to get longer strips.

      How long with these accu cutters last? I’ve seen stories that are scary

    • @accuquilt
      @accuquilt  3 роки тому +1

      @@cheryljune1603 The Dies will last for thousands of cuts as well it is the mats you need for the dies that will need replaced more often.

    Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my accuquilt baby go as the handle is freewheeling and the rollers are also freewheeling?

      Hi Margaret, so sorry to hear about the troubles with your GO! Me. We recommend contacting the place of purchase regarding the matter so that we/they may go about the troubleshooting process

    I have never been able to successfully cut 6 layers of fabric. Even when I've used a new die with a new mat, 4 is all I ever can cut. Am I alone in this?
