Poll results for 5/27/24--Build more structures!

- Usually on the Monday following my construction updates, I release the results of the poll conducted at the end of each update regarding which area of the layout my viewers would like to see me focus my efforts on next.
For this past weekend's poll, the viewers determined by majority vote that they would like to see more structures built! I will be working on four scenes, the El Dorado Refinery, the Barton Solvents and BG Products plants in El Dorado, the train station and Royal Gorge Route Railway workshop in Canon City, and the Portland Cement Plant.
Thank you all for your input, I'll see you in two weeks with the results of my efforts!
I've been looking at the Faller Refinery myself, Can't wait to see what you do with it!
That makes two of us! I started in on that kit after I posted this video and instantly realized that it will be the hardest kit I have ever assembled. There must be over a thousand pieces to this thing! I think there are at least 20 to 30 sprues full of parts, a good number of which are nothing more than tiny bits of piping and valve wheels. I will be lucky to assemble even a recognizable portion of the kit in two weeks and will have to switch to the other kits featured in this video just for a break from the mental strain! LOL Having another go at the Walthers refinery kit will seem like child's play after I finish this monster. I only hope I can do it justice!

That Faller kit looks very interesting…wish I had room for it…the facility you’re planning with it and the Walthers kit 👍🏽
Hi Anthony. Take a look at Train Junkies, they have a 10 foot backdrop of a steel mill that looks similar to that Faller kit that you might be able to use. I hope you are well.
I hope I can throw together something that looks better that a pile of pipes and tanks!

Yeah, it might be more than 2 weeks for that Faller kit, wait till you open that box and see the endless little pieces. Lol. That kit looks a lot like the Train Junkies Steel mill backdrop I mentioned.

You are not the first to ask for build videos... Unfortunately, my videography and editing skills are pretty limited. I need a video assistant or something to come over and train me. Maybe someday I'll figure it out.
@KandWRailroader I feel your pain. I just passed 1k subscribers for the restoration of the A26 that I volunteer on. There should be a camera setting that will automatically do time-lapse or, in the case of my Samsung "hyper-lapse." I hope you can figure it out. It's really not too difficult. But regardless keep doing what you are doing.
@@mustangbob51 I will check that out. I haven't even used that camera I bought yet, maybe this is the excuse I need to try it out.
After some thought, I have decided to try doing a time lapse video of this kit build. I have no idea how long it will take, but I will give it a shot.
@KandWRailroader my setting is 15 seconds equals 1 second of video and that seems to work fairly well, but I can change the parameters.
