Great ideas! I totally related with the feeling of discouragement when I would try to have my son try a new activity. His speech therapist always told me to follow his lead (like you guys said!!!)!! And it is very true, he will keep his attention on something for a long period of time if he’s interested and then we can interact so much better.
I go down to my 3 year old eye level and I tell my son listen and look at mommy and he stops what his doing. If he doesn't listen I ask him if wants me to take his toy or what ever he is playing with away. Of course he replies and says no. So I tell him "then stop and listen to mommy" I don't yell or use harsh tone.
Thank you so much Adrienne, Hello from SouthEast Asia here! Keep make great video like this please.. you couraging me lots in handling my toddler and baby.
It is so interesting how we all perceive things so differently. I found this video to be packed with ideas for interacting with my granddaughter to stimulate more language development. Thank you so much, Adrienne, for making this content available.
Well, I suppose so, @ACC. I was just surprised to see a negative comment like this on a helpful video. I really meant my comment to be supportive of Adrienne because I have found her videos to be so helpful with my delayed speech granddaughter, and her demeanor is always gracious and kind.
Hey Adrienne! Please dont dissapear.. your videos are some of the best on youtube!
