Dude, my driver's side power window got so bad that I just held the button to release the tension, and I pulled it up or pushed it down with gorilla armz. I spent 1200 on an MS3 but I ain't got cash for that regulator. :)
You can just replace the cables I've done it on mine it's a bit tricky to respool them but got new cables for just 30 pounds and just grease them up real good

@@wowgabber123 Are the cables what go bad? Took one window apart to clean it and white lithiumed the whole thing. Its better... but not the best
@@thefox117 well on mine the cable snapped so that's an obvious problem but if the cable gets old and rusty the friction between the inner and outer cable can grind the whole mechanism to a snails pace. If the cable is not snapped you could try Wd 40 in the cables.

This really helped me put on my new door cards i had lying around for ages onto my na, im 15 learning the ropes of physically working on engines and mechanics and im 1 step closer to a mean build i hope to have one day, watch to about 5 mins in to learn how to remove your cards (its really simple with electic window models all you need is a Philips head and maybe a clip prying tool) by far best tutorail around.

love the new intro MD!!! This video coming a day after i just disassembled my entire regulator/window/motor/cables to clean and lather on some Honda Shin-Etsu grease. Theyre better, but not 100%. *Edit: As soon as you mentioned new door cards, Scotty immediately came to mind!

Bought the last two clear plastic shields in North America for my NB and cleaned off all that tar adhesive off the door. Took about i can of WD40 and a roll of paper towels to do it and now its nice and clean. Used a thin layer of 3M double stick adhesive tape and placed the new plastic covers on there and its nice and tight. As an additional precaution I got a hold of some 3M commercial grade duct tap and went along the top seam as added protection against water intrusion and its' been water tight since I did the install. no more goo to piss off your wife if you got it on your clothes or in the house. The repair was for a plastic clip that broke that holds a rod for my electric window hardware that prevented the wind from going all the way down. A set of holes drilled on either side and a plastic wire tie did the trick to hold it in place and prevent me from having to take the whole window out to replace a plastic clip.

This comes out exactly one week after I changed mine.
I have a quick fix for window regulator bushings (not the window one, the two in the up down thingy). Use two 1/2in drain plug washers, the ones with the rubber in the center, you'll have to slide them in the rail, place them under the studs, and pop them up into the studs with two flat screw drivers. Worked great to fix the rattle in my passenger side without changing the whole thing. (Regulator was otherwise healthy)

My manual regulator took a dive yesterday. A real pain to go in there. One of the cable broke loose. Will replace with the Moss Miata power window kit upgrade. And add the delrin bushings as well.
Yup I got the crunchy windows too. It got a lot better after cleaning the old grease and put new grease. The bushing was shot doe. It's still a bit crunchy but it rolls 10 times easier
Like you did a video on clutch guide and turbo build guide you should make a video on some good tire setups for a miata, wheel size, tire sizes, best application for specific wheels and tires. I know that would be a lot of testing. But since you got those sticky tires I’m intrigued to know what are some of the best tire/wheel setups for a miata

my actual handle too roll the window broke awhile back so I’ve been having too use a wrench but I just last week put my cordless with a 7/16 bit and rolls my window up perfectly 😂 so I’ll be doing that exact thing you did for a little until I can afford new setup for the windows

I'm pretty sure I need to fix my windows in my 95 Miata, so this is perfect timing!
Also you don't have to pull the plastic, just make a little cut where the bolts go and one diagonally from the handle, that's all you need. Then you tape it back. Door window trim/weather strip/top of the door black thing can stay in unless you need to change it.
