Fun fact, I was in the studio audience for the filming of this episode. They also reshot some scenes from episode one. 24th May 2002, it was the same day that season 3 of the Uk's version of Big Brother started airing.

Love it that you " get ", Alan ... 👊🏼🤍👊🏼 He's my favourite comedy character 🤭 It's great for me to see others watching for the 1st time, once you realise how funny he is 🤣
I still remember the first time I watched this episode while it was originally airing on TV. When Alan mentions the blood squelching in his shoe and the camera pans down to his bloodied foot, I genuinely felt like I was going to pass out from laughing. And then the whole presentation which followed. It's the hardest and longest I've ever laughed at a show. Great to see you're really enjoying Partridge! Hopefully you'll do the Partridge specials like 'scissored Isle' and 'welcome to the places of my life'.

I love the idea of this being enjoyed outside of Britain.. I'm actually from Norwich where this is set and recognise some of the places. The train station especially..and it gives me great pleasure to see it still being enjoyed after all of these years.. It's still good in my opinion..

possibly my favourite episode in the series. Jesus it goes places. The one where he pisses the farmers off a contender. my god, I can't breathe with this series when it goes there.
Hi Josh I must have seen the 2 series at the"Travel Tavern" 15-20 times and I still have same reaction you just did. Comedy at it's best this will never get old, Anyway all the best from across the pond Jim, Surrey, England
@@davidz2562 Thanks for clarification, I spend half my life correcting people on youtube about factual errors so I thoroughly deserve your comment! All the best Jim
There is loads and loads of Alan Partridge stuff - There's about 6 main TV series, a couple of books, webisode stuff, random specials - all sorts. I've been a massive fan since he first started and I still find stuff I've not seen on youtube
The way the books are done is absolutely brilliant. Reading Alan's exaggerated and untruthful version of events compared to what we actually saw in the shows is hilarious. I don't think anything like that has been done before. I have a pretty rare comic relief clip on my channel that you may not have seen.
Greatest show ever made. You have to do knowing me knowing you afterwards. It came before I'm Alan partridge and ideally should have been watched first but going back is fine.

I love that you love Alan Partridge. A lot of Brits don’t even get the humour. But it’s absolute gold.

Exactly the same. I was silently uncontrollably laughing. It’s one of those things that’ll never get the same reaction a second time 🤣
Yes I laugh just thinking about the episode.
Superb.
I felt exactly the same during that scene bud it was hilarious. I will add those to my list bud thanks for the recommendations.
His dry-heaving made me die laughing 🤣
I'm so glad you like Alan he is a great character
When he says want some more glitter? Cost 2 grand that . I burst out laughing evertime
The first time I saw this episode of couldn't breathe when he put his foot through that spike.
Still funny now.
Agreed that scene was hilarious, and I felt that pain when it happened.
Alan mistaking the South African saying "No you can't", for "No you c**t", is priceless.
Wow totally missed that after 10 times of watching
