- In this video, we'll be talking about Spain's new colonial meta in EU4 1.35.
Spain has been expanding its empire in recent years, and this new colonial meta will be a major force in the game. We'll be discussing all the new changes and strategies that are available to Spain, and how you can use them to your advantage in EU4!
1. GUIDES for Colonizations game in EU4! • EU4 COLONIZATIONS GUIDE
AVE. This is an old episode from EU4. That's why it has an old narrator. There will be one or two more episodes from the Spanish series!
To avoid the Burgundian succession war with Austria I usually ask not to start any war for 10 favor after that event. The other war even with fighting on our side Emporor doesn't work.
Oh, i donOh, i don't know that. Thanks for a tip!
Did they update this or does it still work? Seems a bit OP
@@edgarmontelongo5981 I am not sure, suppose it was fixed.
Bro those are such good videos!! You deserve to be way bigger, I am so happy that I found you. Good narration, nice editing nothing too flashy so just perfect. I love eu4 but but there are not a lot good eu4 UA-camrs or at least not many that I know of so thank you for producing those good Videos!
Thanks!
Seville is spanish, it's pronounced "Se-vee-ya" not "se-vill"
Edit: oh it's a voice simulator. That is shockingly natural sounding aside from it's ability to pronounce non-English location names like Tafilalt and Seville
But you can give your comments. I learn better and faster pronunciation myself. January/February I plan to give up simulators and record myself.
The new Spain meta is playing wide conquering Europe and going for HRE Emperorship.... HRE Early revoke has always been meta, with 1.35 Castille missions even more so. Colonial game is quite far behind imo the exception being England~>Britain path...
I don't really understand how this comment relates to the movie.
If that "Aragon re-elections increase the ruler stat" isn't a bug, then that's one broken strat
Has a Personal Union with a republic... and complains its buggy XD
Agree though, government type should always revert to monarchy upon PU.
I choose the middle colonial policy now and pair it with the religious faction’s privilege to lower native uprisings to zero. You get events that add 100 to the colony population that probably at least match the 20 per year extra from the harsh option, and you don’t have to worry about keeping troops there. And you get assimilation but I never notice the difference
Or you can use the policy of expansion+exploration that grants -50% native uprising and +50% native assimilation with the clergy privilege to get -100 uprising and +100 assimilation and you are free to use the third native policy
And also the event to get 100 population can happend even if you chose the third policy and withouth -100 native uprising chance
@@BobiGazda12345ok but it takes time to get to that policy, and in my experience the event happens with virtually every colony in the middle path, but very rarely with the +20 settler one
@@subboid if you already have ahead of time or current technology you should be focusing all your monarch points on both of those ideas, and considering you probably will have Isabella and some good advisors since you are already making bank by that point, you'll need ~25-30 years or less to complete both ideas and get the policy
Could you theoretically also do this with Naples and have 4 Mexicos?
The short answer is yes.
I want a video like this but with France colonizing north America
Isn't having a lot of colonies common sense? I was already doing it since 2 or 3 years ago. I don't think it's new meta.
The more colonies you have, the development of the colonial regions would be more distributed causing less liberty desire by development and be able to increase the tariffs more.
The only downside is that the colonies will be less helpful in wars because they will only have small stacks that can be easily wiped out. This is why if you can I recommend having one big colony to help in wars and just lowering its liberty desire by paying its debt (building forts in the colony go brr) or having good relations. If it's only one or two big colonies it's manageable.
It's a vintage style meta :P It would be difficult to make a title like NEW OLD colonial meta.
Not necessarily. Generally, I created subject colonies for up to 10 provinces. To get an additional trader, the rest went to the main colony. Moreover, these colonies cooperate very well in wars, which works well in the later game. Plus bonuses for colony types are cumulative. Which is very strong.
And finally. I watched a few guides that came out recently (6-9 months). No one shows this way of playing.
is this..... ai?? the voice is weird and the video sounds scripted.
The answer is in other comments under this video ;p
@@lookasetbellawhy don't you just answer this mans question?
Because I'm lazy.@@montevar960
Expeling leads to using colonist as well so I dont understand how can you be making 4 collonies with 2 settlers this way as if you expelled minorities for the first 2 collonies then the 2 settlers would be stuck there, not available for further colonization.
I dont get it. In my Play through i wanted that the Iberian Wedding should happen. But Aragorn Dicedes to be a Republic. It never happend Before. Its Bullshit
You pronounced Northumbria correctly not worry!
this is wrong starting dont attack morocco first dont pu portugal just invade them 2 wars. then immediately go caribbean col 10 dev provinces then go brazil-cape-africa-colombia-america-mexico-peru
It all depends on what you care about. I preferred to have a stronger Portugal. Then the bot colonizes better.
You can fully annex native migratory tribes theres an option in the peace deal
Thanks i dont know that
is this a voice simulator?
Yes
Wait, it was all the time???
In this video, yes. In the Netherlands video there is 4-5 minutes of my own voice :P @@rique3012
@@lookasetbella thank god, i was trying to figure out the accent cos it kept wobbling back and forth a touch and was gonna ask
Lore of You did it Wrong! Spain's New Colonial Meta in EU4 1.35 momentum 100
Finally someone who pronounces "Sus" correctly
1 regiment is enough to put town colonial rebellions in almost all American provinces, but 2 is reasonable to feel safer. 3 is just overkill. But I'd arrange it so every colony either has an army or is next too one, unless I have a high maneuver general available.
This is very technology dependent. 1 regiment out of 5 techs may not be able to win. I also don't want to look at how many natives there are. That's why I just give it a 3.
You should take trading centers from portugal then revoke their cores when you form a pu with them
I dont like this way of PU Portugal. In my test game Portugal didnt use colonist properly if i do this way. I don know why. Even if i give them subsidiary. And usually i don have problem to have 80% of trade in Sevilla.
Is there room for the PU's colonies to get 10 provinces? If not, why is it important that they be separate colonies?
I don't really understand the first part of the question. What I'm doing in this video is to have as many colonies as possible in one colonial region that provide merchants. To do this, you must have a vassal, a march or a personal union. It doesn't matter. Which has scope to these provinces and you give it to them as part of your conquests.
But to get the merchant, the colony has to have 10 provinces. It looked like that wasn't going to be possible in a lot of places, because your own colony would eat up all areas of expansion for your PUs' colonies before you integrated the PUs. So the colonies you inherit would be stuck at 5 provinces.
Does aragon need to go down the exploration/expansion idea for you to be able to gift them provinces? My aragon by 1600 has still not done either. So i have to share with just portigal. Not even naples wants to spread out.
If I remember correctly. This manually transfers the provinces of the new world to Aragon. I was waiting for it to have a colonial reach with tech.
@@lookasetbella I'm not sure how you did that, the subject screen would not let me transfer any of my Colonial Holdings to them, but It would let me do it to Portugal
@@lookasetbellaso your solution was waiting for late game tech for colonial reach so the game would allow you to give them land because now they can finally core it?
@@juicebox6581 No, I thought I was talking about it in this or the previous episode of the series. I handed over individual provinces, first in Africa, then in South America, from the tribes I conquered. This is important.
that’s not how percentages work
Which one? And if you know something more, you can write it.
Portugal personal union = Anger in Colony for me
Could you elaborate on this more?
send gud guys to cuba
build colonation
*PORTUGAL INVASION* sent
2 strange colonation built
me: mess of my cuba map😂
somehow, the permission of colonization to portuuugal doesn’t work
he’s still colonizing my beautiful cuba 😂
If you do these voiceover videos, do you have to manually write a script each time? Amazing video btw
NO. This is a translation from Polish to English.
Of course, each episode takes me about 2-3 hours to check the correctness of the translation and make corrections. Sometimes I have to correct what I say because it fits in Polish, but in English you wouldn't know what I meant.
