Best tutorial ever. English is not my first language and it’s hard to understand the rules quite often or if I understand, I still have some questions or I’m doing something incorrectly. Thank you for greatly explanation with with visuals, I got it all good now and can finally enjoy my game fully. I am hoping for seeing more board games videos like that in the future! ☺️
I’ve owned the series 1 & 2 Kickstarter games but felt intimidated to learn how to play. Other videos were confusing but your video was very easy to understand. Thanks so much for making this video! I’m going to give this a go!
@@VancouverJeff oooh that’s exciting, you’re in for a treat! A lot of great content at your fingertips if you can get the basic flow of the game down. Wish I could go back and play them for the first time again. Let me know how it goes!
Excellent video! Thank you so much for the clear explanations and examples. I am definitely a visual learner and the rule book (although better than many other games) was still quite confusing. I appreciate your videos, so far just this one and the FF I bought with it, Carnage at the Carnival. About to try out my first game and I’m so excited!
Awesome, I’m glad it helped you! Hope you enjoy your first game. Just go slow through the phases and you’ll naturally get faster after a few games. Let me know if you have any questions
Wow! Nicely done! This was an excellent video explanation of how to play. I just bought the season 1 starter set. AndI have been looking for how to videos. Most are hard to follow along at best, confusing and frustrating at the least. But, you did a fantastic job of explaining the difference phases, cards , and mechanics. I am probably going to watch the entire video again a few times. I am very excited to play this game as I have heard so much good things about it. But rule books are my achilles heel. So I like to supplement them with videos from knowledgeable people. You knocked this one out of the park. 👍🏻 Now, I am dying to watch your FF videos as well to see which I want to try in the future.
Wow thank you so much for the kind words, you’re awesome! I know some people are more visual/audio learners so the goal is always to explain it in a way that’s easier to understand with examples but also include all the rules (which can end up making the video longer). Always trying to improve how I balance these things! When you get around to watching the FF videos let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions. Thank you again!
Once you finally set up the game for the 1st time, was it hard to understand and play? I want to purchase this game so bad because I too, have heard great things about this game, but I'm a bit intimidated by it. I've never played a solo only game, so it's not like I'd have someone to rely on sitting along side me who knows how to play. Is it hard to learn for a complete beginner?
@@Agent28RockIt’s not bad actually. Once you play through with the rules in your hand one time, it becomes a lot easier. No worries. Go ahead and take the plunge! You WON’T be sorry! (But, you will die…a lot!). But that’s all part of the fun. It’s a total blast!
Yes, I will for sure be making videos for the vignettes. Most likely after the last two S2 feature films (Evomorph and Organism) but that could change. Thanks for commenting!
this was really useful thank you. i will be trying Into the Void for my first playthrough of this game later today. 32:34 was wondering what your number one solo game was
My number one solo game when I made this was Marvel Champions but over the last year Final Girl overtook it. I also have rules videos for each film so if you want to check out the one for Into the Void it’s here: ua-cam.com/video/uUO0vANWrdA/v-deo.htmlsi=IdHeA0iToCxE5IN1

I have that on Tabletop Simulator and can try it out before buying. have a great weekend o/
@@k_DEDb07Thanks buddy, that means a lot. I love hearing from people who watched my videos and it made it easier to get into the game. Be careful with MC, it can get expensive! The core box has a lot of game in it so I’d just start there if you like it. Worry about the rest later
Thank you! And yes I have separate videos going over the special rules for each Feature Film, including A Knock at the Door. Here’s a playlist with ALL my Final Girl videos: ua-cam.com/play/PLLj5Omacz32cabc5shm-5OIc5Ldi2OdT0.html&si=NC1Zr0CSCntgxc7L
Thank you so much for this video. I juat discovered this game thru my local board and card game store that just opened. This video finally helped me understand how to play. Can i please ask where you found sleeves to fit all the different size cards like the setup items cards
Love to hear it! I’m assuming you commented while in the middle of the video (I know, it’s long). I go over the sleeves I personally use at the end, it starts at 29:27. There’s other options but these work for me and are still going strong after 150ish plays. Hope you enjoy the game! There’s also Amazon affiliate links in the description if you don’t mind supporting me a little bit 😉
Hi, my first game, i was so focused saving the victims ,incindentaly ..don't die ! I finaly killed hans 😅 ,and no boat card during my game ,i had a strange feeling during my game 🤔??, turning around the lake saving victims 😅 after the game i realized i could swim 🤣.i've got " panic at station 2891 " but haven't played it yet ,just bought it cos i like "the thing " i'm french and lots of them are already sold out ,i've got the core box (french version) camp happy trail ( U.S version ) bought in belgium ,panic at station.. " too . i don't know if they will be reissued ! So ,no time to loose 😊. the most common critism about this game mechanic, it's that random issues like "dice it's die " 😁 Could be frustrating i'm ok with that ,but i don't care ,i like them ,you can start another game quickly, i like the design too "video tape " the 80's ! And it doesn't take a lot of place . Great idea those tiny boardgames 😊 thks for your vids ,they 're handy and well made ( focus on cards , easy to watch )for a begginer ,to refresh my mind on some specifics rules points ,especially ,killer actions , movements etc (signs on the cards it's clear )when you play alone it's easy to forget some points, sometimes .Have a good day .👍🎲
I’m pretty sure the first game I played I died super quick to Hans. He was slaughtering everyone fast. I didn’t mind though, it felt very much like a slasher movie. Like you said, it’s quick to reset the game and play again. I love the variety, each film is very unique. And the VCR tape aesthetic is perfect for it. I’m not usually a fan of dice but it works here. I’m glad you’re having fun with the game! Have you looked at the S3 Kickstarter? Very interesting films there, I’m excited! The Organism will be my next video and then I’ve done one for every film, woohoo! 🎉
Best of all final girl tutorial. Great job.
Thank you, I love hearing that! I have videos for each feature film too if any of them are confusing you. Finishing up Zombies right now too!
