I don't know how I didn't watch this video until just now, but that was a great playthrough, and it makes me super happy I went all in on Season 2 of Final Girl! Can't wait to try it out myself.

can i just say how nice it is to see content of the game without all the bells and whistles!! I usually choose to spend my game budget on more games instead of premium components, but it does make playthroughs a little less relatable :)
I played my first game of this the other day and won on a retaliate :) very satisfying! I got very lucky, he didn't have any minor dark powers or extra hearts after death!
I know this is way late, but he should have had 5 dice in his final roll because he would get +1 for the killer's revealed final health token too. Great playthrough!

Thankfully, it did not matter, and Max still slayed the monster in an epic final opportunity :)
Are You planning to do some more content on Final Girl, S3 currently on Kickstarter, good time to do it. Perhaps ranking solo games and ranking Final Girl feature films from S1 and S2 ?
I just played my first game as well, cool game. One question, I don't think yuo get to put your cards back to purchase immediately, I think it skips an action phase? Was wondering if the hans ref was kingdom come deliverance?
You do not get your cards back immediately, and we actually do play this way! I think some people made mention of this not happening first turn (I tried to catch Max on everything but obviously must have missed that) but the rest of the game he for sure doesn’t get them back immediately until the following turn! :)
Nice video, but don't you have to put the cards you played, like the free ones, into a sort of limbo so that you cant paly and refill those cards every turn?... Never mind, it looks like you do it, just didn't seem/sound like it during first couple turns.

I am just learning to play this game and this video has helped a lot, but one thing is not clear to me with the final girls health. Q. Lets say I have 4 health left including the +1 die token and I take 5 damage from an attack, does the damage stop at the token then I flip it and carry on assuming there is at least 1heart on the other side? or is she just dead? this really isn't clear in the rule book
I’m not 100% without the rule book in front of me, but I’m fairly certain all excess damage when the token is flipped is negated! This makes it more thematic and intense as you flip it!
i just got into the game ,loved your playthroug. i only have one question and i hope you can rember to answer me because its been a year after the upload. you specifically say in the video that you gat the zero cost cards back every turn and i think that is not correct , you should be the to the side in your discard pile and you cant purchace them until next turn. please let me know
That’s exactly the rule, and we definitely play it the way you are saying, so yes you got it! After using them, they stay unavailable the next turn, but then become available the following turn, and are free to take back because they cost zero. I think when we say that, we are meaning you get the AVAILABLE zero cost cards back, not the ones you just used and are in the discard pile. I hope that clears things up.
So there was only one missed panic phase and it was because of a crazy movie halfway through after he killed and then sprinted across the map, but due to him never really murdering and then staying on a space with a victim, the game never really called for one!
@@TablenautsAfter about 4 play throughs I beat the game with Laurie. It came down to Hans attacking me and me using Retaliate. I rolled two dices for the success, and he had a blank token. I also had a blank token apparently so if he landed the attack I would have died. Funny how the game can end like that. Very climactic.
Shouldn’t you have gone back to Hans his lowest track? The icon has an loop back icon on it😅 nice playthrough 😊 I beat it on my first try but that was lucky😂
@@Gwendor19 just gave it a look! Page 5, #10 “Final Effect: This is the effect that will repeatedly trigger when Bloodlust has reached its maximum level and continues to increase” So I *think* we played that correctly :) Thanks for checking!
You put all the cards back into the economy too early. The cards used shouldnt be available for purchase until the planning phase of the following turn.
We did reserve them to the following turn actually! A few comments earlier than you told us we were the ones who taught them through this video that they had to wait a turn and not buy them back immediately.
@@Tablenauts I don''t think so. on 27:41 there are 11 hearts at Hans' main line, 28:42 9 hearts but the dark power is still there. Manual, imho, makes it very clear that you FIRST take hearts away from dark power and remove it, then continue with the "main hearts"
We are aware of this, we took the hearts off the card at the exact time stamp I gave you at 26:37. This is why Doolin says “so you take care of the extra and one.” We are sorry we didn’t remove the card entirely from the board but there are NO hearts there at either timestamp you gave me, and Max and I knew that card had been taken care of.

So, this was something I’ve been unaware of the whole time playing this map! We made it harder on ourselves with just the bottom exits 😂

I haven’t read the rulebook (doolin did) but my understanding is it just repeats the final effect over and over again.

I think you made a mistake: when you take health away from Hans, you start with the minor dark power and also remove the card.
We did take care of that damage. It happens at 26:37 when Max finally gets a hit on him! :)
