Thanks Dan
Dan is the man! Thanks Dan!
Thanks Dan!
smart idea, seems really helpful
wow.. i love your videos! even their old but it seems live very helpfull tips. and its all TRUE! i love surf fishing and i watched a video of u giving tips how the fish swim n look for food! you're right. but does it matter if its low or high tides?
I like reverse dropper loop for sand bass but I tie it without the weight and attach the weight later. That way I can change the sinker size without retying the whole setup.
I can’t wait to try this next trip 🤙🏼 . Where would I normally find the b-52 bucktails at ? Walmart ?
thanks! I always think you're going to catch more surf fish on a incoming tide.
I like the dropper loop best
Put the sinker on thru the loop that way u can change if u need more or less weight. U can also reverse back to a normal dropper too. More versatile!
@GeoffreyIvie I'd think so, but most freshwater guys use a drop shot rig, it's a bit different.
Hair looking good
thanks for the upload
is this rig best used on the troll, drift or anchor?
looking to target some halibut, also saw you mentioned a Carolina rig
+Tony S I use this rig for halibut or ling cod, works great for drifting or anchored.
Hey, why put the weight on before tying loop, wouldn’t it be better to just tie the loop and attach the weight later by passing the loop through the eye of the weight and over? If you want to change weights you just have to pass it back through.
I never seem to need to change my weights so I use this rig, its works great for me, but i understand you're saying.
Great! I missed something in the winding. I've watched it several times. As you wind around 5 times and before you run the sinker through the loop, are you holding on to the standing end and do they connect somehow as you tighten? Thanks. Love you man!
+John Echterhoff yes as you tighten it up.
Im gonna try making a dropper loop with reverse dropper loop all in one
@GeoffreyIvie match your hook size o the size of your bait.
what torpedo's weights would be good to use for 30# mono, also what weight egg sinkers should i bring with me? Thanks love the show and information!
+p pollaccia it all depend on how deep you are fishing and the current.
I rarely go below 3/4 oz in saltwater for anything. More often than not I grab something in the 1-3 oz range. I go through a ton of 1oz egg sinkers and 3 oz pyramid sinkers. Trolling (torpedo) sinkers are probably best for this rig as they should be fairly low snag. Good luck
I carry everything from 1/8oz.- 12 oz. you never know.
+sport-fishing.com A good plan. I only kayak fish so my tackle box is fairly high speed low drag.
I can understand that.
I got a LOT of line twist and I was in a harbor with very little current so I was using 1-2 oz torpedos. Did I do something wrong?
I don't know, I would have to be there.
Cool. I watched your other video about the reverse dropper loop and read an article. I think I'm gonna try to make my own 3-way swivel using 2 swivels, either fixed or sliding. Thanks!
just buy a three way swivel.
Which rig is better for live bait...this rig or a carolina sliding sinker?
this rig is for bottom fishing
Why is this rig better then a Carolina rig? What advantage do you get by fixing the length from the weight?
I usually use this rig when drifting a bait for lingcod or halibut, it works great for me and has less knots in it than a Carolina rig.
any info on flounder fishing
+Al Gomez I haven't fished for them, but check out my videos about halibut fishing, I'm sure it's about the same.
Thats the most difficult way of doing a dropper loop Ive ever seen lol
God the time it takes this guy to tie that rig I might have just opened my tackle box.
Dam. Your. Lik. zing. it 😕😕😕🐟🐠🐋🦈🐬🐳
really? I've been doing it like this for years.
Doesn't make sense to use the reverse dropper loop when fishing for lingcod. Seems like a good way to lose your rig in the rocks.
