    Hey BuzyBeez! This Banh Cuon recipe is an excerpt from my longer "Growing up Asian" but I thought if you were interested in just the recipe, a quick video would be useful! But see the whole video here: ua-cam.com/video/cRQTkP1zY6I/v-deo.html

    I'm Vietnamese but I'm so clueless about cooking Vietnamese cuisine, all I'm good at is eating Viet food. But after this video, HoneySuckle really motivated me to cook this dish after making it seem so easy. So I went ahead and made it!!!! Not gonna lie, it was a bit of a challenge but after cooking it, it felt so accomplishing and I was proud of being able to create a Vietnamese dish. It was yummy too so I'm really relieved hahha. Thank you Honeysuckle xxxxxxx

    I lived in North Vietnam for a year and enjoyed bang cuon so much. But unlike in the city, I was really awed by the way the rice flour crepe was made using a thin long stick. Simply amazing.

    Accutally, in Viet Nam, we have 2 different ways to eat Bánh cuốn
    1: you can mix fish sauce with lime, minced garlic, sugar like in this video
    In other way, you can make this sauce by the bone broth mix with sugar, pepper, chili and herb.
    And, you should try this with fried onion on top. It’s perfect!
    Thank you because of loving VietNamese food ❤️❤️❤️

    I love your cooking videos! Everything is so yummy!! I was wondering if you knew how to make those steamed gluttonous rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves (not sure of their actual name)? My friend's mom made them one time and I loved them so much! I know they can be sweet or savory. Her's were a dessert so she filled the middle with some sweet shredded coconut and nuts. SO GOOD. Would love a tutorial on them with the BuzyBeez twist of course!

    I followed the recipe and used 2 tbsp of oil as directed but found the batter to be super oily! I had to dab some off 😔 not sure if anyone had a problem with that. I’ll have to experiment and try less oil next time but overall it turned out ok in the end. I was worried about the crepes being too gooey and undercooked but once I cooked it and let the banh cuon settle, it was ok!

    We still have a lot of spring roll wrappers (dip in water kind) , you think I can use those?

    • @hientq3824
      @hientq3824 5 років тому

      Actually, I have to say no. Rice paper is just a way we use to eat sth(spring roll, banh xeo ..), not a dish. Let try and you"ll see the different.

    • @tpn1110
      @tpn1110 3 роки тому

      Actually there is a hack. Soak those rice papers for 30 min in room temp water mixed with oil. Roll them up with filling and finish off in the microwave (covered) for 2 minutes or steam for 4 minutes if you have a steamer.
