Our prices in the US are about the same in our bigger cities. I live on the remote Pacific northwest coast and prices are three times as much as yours. We learn how to find the best deals tho. Being inventive, like you are Alex, makes life easy. Alex deserves his sweets - he's a hard worker. My husband is the same. Thank you for this glimpse into your lives!
Those prices are rather good but its all relative really and very dependant on salaries. I dont often comment on you video but just love that you guys are just a normal everyday couple trying to get by in this crazy world just like most of us. Greetings from the UK.
I'm always impressed by your English speaking skills. I can read/understand and write/speak English without problems, but for some things, like different vegetables, trees or flowers, I lack the vocabulary and have to look it up. 😳
Thank you Marco. I also don't know many words. And when I don't know the name, I try to describe this thing with some other words 😊. And also people write the correct names in comments. I try to learn them but not very successfully sometimes 😂. And also to learn a new name fast - it is necessary to use it in your speech several times.
Those prices are amazing. In Toronto, Canada 12 eggs cost $4. The Nescafé gold espresso is $7.50; I was trying to see the price there but it wasn’t clear. Olive oil here is $15 a litre and up. Our prices here have gone crazy. It’s very expensive now. Great video!
Those eggs look so good! Lately the eggs i have gotten from the store are tiny and the shell is so thin, they break extremely easy. They used to not be this way, something definitely has changed with them.
That's a cool shop, not big but has most items one might need. I agree with you Valerie, coffee beans are so much better than instant coffee, sorry Alex. I hope Alex got his sweets, no harm in having a little treat every now and then, just not every day. Thank you for taking us along. xx
The prices are much cheaper than here in my province , our taxes are highest in Canada too. Since the virus our prices had gone crazy with the biggest grocery stores having the highest profits ever. We are boycotting the top two chains as are many other people. 🙋🏼♀️
Nice shopping tour! Prices are very low. In Italy we have also supermarkets like this where prices are really affordable. Anyway this is a good grocery shop. Thank you for sharing 🪻💕🍀
Cheaper supermarkets are good if there is one close to where you live but if you have to drive you have to add the cost of driving there to what you spend buying food. It can end up costing more than at a regular supermarket closer to home.
I say think of freezing bread 🍞 vegetables milk meats lots of things so last longer and at the very cheapest price my mum always did this very smart idea. Home make foods then freeze then once you want put them in the fridge the next morning cook eat.
@@CzechtoU considered this it's far from being cheap. In Germany we have a quite similar niveau of prices but people here earn multiple times the wage of regular russians.
That is cheap indeed, and I would certainly love to see such prices in my city. But a few things I noticed when I compare to supermarkets in my city, or in Europe in general: 1. The prices are definitely cheaper than where I live, but all in all no more than 30 to 50% cheaper than in my region from what I can see (certain articles are basically the same price, like the chocolate and the tomatoes, others are definitely much cheaper, like the onions and carrots). However, it is worth noting that salaries where I live are at least 3 times higher than moscow (according to my research average salary in Moscow is 1150 euros per month). So in terms of buying power and proportion, to be on par with my region, prices should be at least 60 to 70% cheaper. 2. There is definitely less variation in some aisles, fewer choices, most notably the pasta and oil departments, where barely a handful of brands offer their product. Mind you, the brands don't really matter, pasta is pasta, oil is oil, regardless of the brand and color of the package, it's basically almost the same product. 3. The vegetables are pretty rough, still covered in dirt and unwashed. I wouldn't mind myself when preparing them in the kitchen, but I would certainly mind even less to pay a little extra to have something a bit prettier that won't get my bags and other food articles dirty
@@rn87mom94 Well actually it's the opposite: the less processed pasta is, the more brown it becomes. Brown pasta is usually called whole wheat pasta, and they make them by blending the wheat with the skin, this gives more fibers and protein, and is less processed and therefore healthier.
Do your food stores have apps that you can download and see what they have on sale? I sometimes go to two food stores to take advantage of the discounts …
@@HappyComfort A lot of Russian UA-camrs have mentioned slow downs and lack of access since the beginning of August. In some locations, access is only available via cell phone. And monetization has been cut off entirely.
I still don't understand the buckwheat thing. We don't eat it in the USA and I don't know what the final product is that you eat when you cook it. Like hot cereal?
Love shopping videos! This in a way reminds me of Aldi in the USA! Great prices!

No ways, $1 for 2 lbs sugar? 1 liter of milk, 70 cents, no way.

It’s shelf milk. Not fresh milk.
Most Russians make no more than the equivalent of $200 a week!!!
I was gonna say yes 3 times more in socal.
Best regards and of course we can't leave out Mr. Sheffield he's a rock ⭐
Thank you for the shopping trip!

Interesting tour of the store 😊👍🇦🇺
SNICKERS!! the universal candy! there is hope for us all yet!
The Snickers bar was named after a horse, the favourite of the bar's creator, Franklin C. Mars. In the UK, they used to be called Marathon bars.

I've never had Baskin-Robbins ice cream and there's one right around the corner from me. Maybe it's time to give them a try...🤔🍨🍦

California onions are $2 a pound or $4 a kilo. Onions are not cured correctly and often first onion layer is rotten.

Pasta isn’t just pasta. The paler color the better. The more yellow, the more processed.

Sorry I don't know. We seldom buy juice. I will film the variety of it for you 😊.
