If anyone is wondering about the piano piece at 3:55, it's Chopin's Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2. It's a great piece to learn if you don't suck like me lol. I only have like 9 measures of it down.
@XInvert3d Why? Because we do not like this show. To me it was a giant let down after truly genius shows like Gone and Touch. I do not see the big deal about it. They walk on each others drums? They sing a part from a gay ass song from an even more gay ass band?
Butterflies and hurricanes, United states of Eurasia, I have no clue what the piano piece was, maybe one of the exogenesis symphonies, and the knights of cydonia.
i second that bass ackwrds. for those who dislike rithym x surely dosent no a good dfumline. also look up oak grove indoor drumline. heard they got second in scgc.
This is honestly the best marching show I have ever seen that didn't have classical or jazz music. Hopefully some drum corps wil be "inspired" to do some modern music after this!
Ahhhh I miss watching these guys so much. Centerville was ALWAYS the one competition I always looked forward to when I went to Milford. Just so we could see these guys.
alright, just sayin, between :28, 2:31, 2:40, 4:00, 4:27, 5:17, 6:04, 7:02 especially the stick toss at 7:10... how in the world can there be a better SHOW then this?!? this is good enough to put on Broadway because anybody can enjoy it, not just for music nerds that only look for a squeaky "clean" show
@Inspadave I love everything about this comment. Totally agree. The thing that irritates me is that the drumming feels so lick oriented that it has minimal relation to the actual music in the foreground.
@miladu on youtube you can look up whatever song and type like guitar track, drum track, bass track, vocal track and see if they have it. then just leave the vocal track out and layer the others, that would be the only way i know of. im not very technologically advanced in stuff like that. lol so yea hope it helped
I can’t help but still come back to this show, and watch it over and over with the same feelings I had that night watching them at finals. Shame they didn’t take the 1 spot. Pulse was amazing, but I feel lacked the energy and the creativity this show produced and put out… and how about the look of those Dynasty’s?! What an era.
@tdwprulezd00d9494 Which is the same piano piece played at the end of United States of Eurasia on the album, so in this instance you could still consider it part of that song. I think Muse technically called that part "Collateral Damage" because they had some sound effects and stuff going on as well.
@griflicious Actually the snares/tenor harnesses are made so they don't have J Bars so this could happen, my school has them and they are really awesome lol.
@zxl345 Well I haven't seen Muse's live show but I must say, if I was Muse's manager I would definately consider taking those guy on tour with them. It'd be a huge crowd pleaser.
this is probably my first and only post for a video. but I just have to give credit where it's due. Rhythm X's performance was just outstanding! Blew me away! Thanks BDdrumline08 for posting this. Kudos to you my friend and to Rhythm X as well.
the snare book for this year was so freakin hard like your chops had to be insane
rhythm X amazing musicians, athletes , and singers
My independent A group is using this floor this year...im so honored haha
still get chills
@PlushChronicles the united states of eurasia or the exogenisis symphony i dont remember lol
I get it now, they were "Inspired" by the "Muses" Haha good one!
Hi Razelle! :D I was on FB and I see your name xD
for the past 5 years, I always come back to watch this performance. I wish muse saw this haha
😭👌🏻🙌🏻
I'm pretty sure they asked muse if they could use there music and they said they could. I'd be shocked if they never saw this
You still coming back?
10 years * lolololol such a good show
@@miiinkus 10 years 😂
Lol, in the very beginning "Is the ensemble ready?" Some random guy- "no."
If anyone is wondering about the piano piece at 3:55, it's Chopin's Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2. It's a great piece to learn if you don't suck like me lol. I only have like 9 measures of it down.
How they can stay so clean when they're playing that many notes..... I'll never know.
PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
Been there done that
I imagine this conversation taking place at one point, "So you can play drums right? How do you feel about acrobatics?"
the thing at finals, when the WHOLE place stood up for the part when they sing, my god. SO INSPIRED.
For all you haters, just remember that is show is a thousand times better than anything you could do.
True that
Jacob One but im not a hater
This snare book is insane
Still an iconic show.
This was taken in Dayton, OH lol....I recorded it...
This show is hot. Even if Pulse did play cleaner, this was my favorite. And also, 1:26? Did they bring back "Jizz In My Pants?" Lol.
Still one of THE best shows to listen to till this day. Always love coming back to reminisce on the the good ole days!
@XInvert3d Why? Because we do not like this show. To me it was a giant let down after truly genius shows like Gone and Touch. I do not see the big deal about it. They walk on each others drums? They sing a part from a gay ass song from an even more gay ass band?

can anyone tell me a list of songs? all i got was butterflies and hurricanes and knights of cydonia...not really a big muse fan but i'm interested.
Is anyone else still watching this in 2020?
Try 2024
This is the most "fuck you" snare line of all time, and there were 9 of them!
@LJLiveLV, it are all muse songs (United States Of Eurasia is where they used Chopin ;) ) you might like muse too
the only thing i dont like is that it isnt original! muse is the one that made it awesome just saying
@Siennix Butterflies and Hurricanes, United States Of Eurasia, Knights Of Cydonia. All by muse
That was so fucking awesome!
wait so theres butterflies and hurricanes but whats the ballad song? :o
Probably the best wgi show ever done.
This video only has 9 snares... Did they not end the season with 10?
This is honestly the best marching show I have ever seen that didn't have classical or jazz music.

I come back to this video like once, twice-maybe three times a year? Never disappoints.
This is still good
Still gives me chills
Best WGI show of all time
@DoctorsKit216 Its actually Chopin's Nocturn in Eflat
My mind has been, completely fucked. With no lube.
@MusicISLife9500 Duh. Dartmouth is a high school.
guy standing at 1:55 has the best set. Look at that hold!
My favorite show Overall...Music, Drill, And visual work.. I like How they incorporated Chopin In the music
wait...... these are all muse
@TheXenophobic - Lol you're welcome!
idk, im still not sure who shouldve won
That shot at 2:40 fireeeeee
Best Opener Ever Written, Hands Down
What the heck is their show called?
This show...what the fuck man.
um.... my mind is blown
Drummers on steroids. lol
Knights of cydonia?!?!?
Time for indoor.
alright, just sayin, between :28, 2:31, 2:40, 4:00, 4:27, 5:17, 6:04, 7:02 especially the stick toss at 7:10... how in the world can there be a better SHOW then this?!? this is good enough to put on Broadway because anybody can enjoy it, not just for music nerds that only look for a squeaky "clean" show

I'm still here 12 years later and I never even saw it live,
@tdwprulezd00d9494 Which is the same piano piece played at the end of United States of Eurasia on the album, so in this instance you could still consider it part of that song. I think Muse technically called that part "Collateral Damage" because they had some sound effects and stuff going on as well.
Hot shit.
Ha, if muse saw this they would have to quit from being horribly outplayed with their own music. This show is so epic compared to what Muse has.
@griflicious Actually the snares/tenor harnesses are made so they don't have J Bars so this could happen, my school has them and they are really awesome lol.
w0w
LOL 3:23 kicks the stick on the floor like "NOT TODAY" the other stick worried me the whole time that didn't get picked up
@zxl345 Well I haven't seen Muse's live show but I must say, if I was Muse's manager I would definately consider taking those guy on tour with them. It'd be a huge crowd pleaser.
On the album the track is "United States of Eurasia / Collateral Damage" and that is the continuation of the song, past what they play live.
sia! sia! sia!
Damn near shat meself in excitement when they did the little arabic-ish tune from United States of Eurasia
5:18
5:17 those first 3 chords in the snare break sounds so damn good I swear
Actually, it's got a bit of everything Muse. Knights of Cydonia, United States of Eurasia, I'm sure there's quotes somewhere that I missed.
this is probably my first and only post for a video. but I just have to give credit where it's due. Rhythm X's performance was just outstanding! Blew me away!
Thanks BDdrumline08 for posting this. Kudos to you my friend and to Rhythm X as well.
@sniperlmao
are you asking what was the first song called?
"Butterflies and Hurricanes"
i definitely like the ening arangement better with the three pyramids instead of the one, this is sick
@6:05
Lol he is right. "Whoever thinks this is their best work, THEY ARE soooooooooo wrong"
so quick question, is marching the same for indoor? Ive never marched indoor.
2:40 The United States of Eurasia build up was epic. Reminded me of the Haka war dance.
@Xypherian505 Thx I haveent listened to them at all but im guessing i would
who ever thinks this is their best work their SOOOOOOOOOOO Wrong!
looks like theyre about to invade a medieval castle.
with style.
at 0:29 the second snare drum from the right. that guy is my instructor :D
my friend tim wood played in this he is the snare that was in the middle at 3:50
The second song is United States of Eurasia by Muse
/watch?v=0Ok0expLH1o
Watch them play the bass lick from Hysteria in the bass line next year.
4:25 dyNASTY drums, they're pretty much only good for standing on (with a little bit of steroid induced drumming sprinkled in every now and then)
wonder if anyone ever fell off the pyramid at the end lol
This is possibly stupid.. But is it possible to get the marimba part??
They should do a dubstep show. bobobbobbobowwowowowowo
How great !!!
They are incredible !
And I love Muse :)
Do they have a website ?
I like how the drum set player is like "WHAT" at the end.
Did David Oriente lose his glasses around 3:05?
I can only wish to play that marimba part right now
i love whoever posted this
what the name of the piano piece played @3:50?
ok.. this is still one of my favorite indoor shows ever!!
Tasty bass part at about 2:15.
Pulse who?
@Xelanoux Correction, best show ever written.
I could watch this over and over and over again.
Look at Tim killing that handstand on the snare!
