- Watch as I retro-fit JBL tweeters in my 2017 Smart Fortwo Passion cabrio! The whole installation takes about 10 min, and it is well worth the upgrade (both looks and sound wise).
Parts needed:
A453 827 00 60 Speakers x2
A453 811 55 00 JBL Cover with chrome ring
A453 811 56 00 JBL Cover with chrome ring
A453 811 03 00 Mirror Cover Base
A453 811 04 00 Mirror Cover Base

I already had the standard speakers and upgraded to JBL. Purchased at a big discount from a Mercedes dealer in the United Kingdom on eBay and was brand new in sealed box. Most definitely worth the upgrade.

My 453 came with the standard speakers and they're horrible, sounds like my 90's skoda. I've been looking to make this upgrade on the tweeters, however how big of a difference can the tweeter make on their own? The door mid/bass speakers and the middle one on the dashboard will still be the standard speakers. It seems that there are only tweeters available for retrofitting. No replacement for the other speakers

I have the JBL system - It's OK... Not as good as the Harmon Karmon in my BMW 1 series !!!
Unplug the Sub in the boot & that's when you realise the sub actually does something !!! To be fair it's not powerful enough considering it's a 2 door car !!!
I'm wanting to upgrade the sub to a 8" or bigger - does anyone know where the 6 channel amp is located?
