Anecdote. Just bought the DLC, and during my first playthrough Under One Rule, I hired Kai-Sha the assassin. Shortly afterwards, the luminary was assassinated and ended up on life support for quite some time. The role player in me could never shake the feeling both events were related LOL. Reviving the king was quite the ordeal but eventually, science won the day. Convinced that divine providence was smiling upon him, our beloved ruler took it upon himself to absorb the full power of the shroud to better serve our people ..... and that is how he died. He was succeeded by a governor of venerable age that's been with us since our people took to the stars, now immortal, in an ironic twist of fate; as the king had often accused him of high treason in a fit of tyrannical paranoia. Again I found myself wondering how much of what had transpired was somehow arranged by the Luminary's closest entourage. However, the governor turned out to be the greatest leader our people had ever known, leading us into a golden age of unification, stability and prosperity, so I will admit the passing of the luminary wasn't mourned by many, nor for long.
i wish there was a machine empire legendary and 2 renowned leaders but i think it maybe a bit difficult to make 3 robotic yet unique characters, but it's not too difficult. (edit: i think it would be cool to see hivemind leaders like previously mentioned but that too might be a bit difficult.)

General Jynn: i can bring about the end of tyranny and free the enslaved..you should hire me... Me (a tyrant ruler): scoffs, bless you but thats not going to happen.. (enslaves the "creature")
Im so mad right now, i was playing the new Rule of One origin, playing as the Imperium of man, obviously. And i got The God Emperor of Mankind to become a chosen, through a shroud event, and i got the event to change and worship him and change my government officially, which obviously i did. Interestingly, all that does is add a civic. But i did this right before i hit stage II of the extguish the luminary situation. So my luminary, the God Emperor, was still dying despite being the chosen one, and having the modifier. But eventually we constructed a machine that was specific to his dna that would sustain him, effectively the golden throne. So i pretty made the 40k Imperium in stellaris almost perfectly. I just wish i would've screenshot the pop-up you get when you build his sustainment building, with the government tab open in the background, showing his chosen status, the government sponsored worship of him, and his forced golden throne.
See I wasn't sure to make my Imperium Genetic or psychic. But I went with Genetic BUT got a legendary leader that turned a normal pop into latent psychics every 10 years. Of course I capitalized on that and my pops are Gene perfect and 3/4 latent psychics.
Aturion may look like a galactic guardian defending any species until you discover that it was a xenophobic machine and just start blasting everyone 🤣. Baron Vyctor Jardin (clever way to spell Victor as Vyctor) almost sound the same as Victor von Doom (for me at least) and the Jardin sounds like Din Djarin, anyway, Baron is dripping, that armor is lit!! General Jynn (Hehe Din Djarin) the way he looks and from his name scream "Djinn" almost supernatural maybe because he is a cybernetic and he reminds me of Kang the conqueror because the design of his face (The armor looks cool though) 🤣🤣. Kai-Sha, three things: First, she looks like she came from House Harkonnen, Second, SITH!!!!!!!, Third, her name almost sound the same as "Yasha"! Don't know the spelling of his last name but it sounds like The Mentor? Dementia? anyway is the version of Ghandi? Space Ghandi? Nona her armor reminds me of Jedi Temple Guard, just a bit though, no further comment. Q'La the space Tahm Kench of Stellaris based on his looks, and Jabba the Hutt version of Stellaris based on his history 😆. Shuadan, ah Space Explorer Cthulhu. Ulastar basically Leto Atreidis II of Stellaris. Why Vas reminds me of Padmé Amidala specifically when she has that makeup on though she emits a vibe of a Twi'Lek if I were to be specific the Cantina Owner, Madam Garsa from The Book of Boba Fett Series 🤔😂. Xondar, planet Xandar? Xondar reminds me of Rasputin from Destiny 2. Zosira K'Tun, Booba! she may have one eye but as long there is a hole there is a way 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
