I really like your concept about the future of RTS games . It even got me excited to play and i never thought I would say that. Im just a player/fan of VR (quest 3) But the impact i would like to have on VR is Based on the game Thrill of the fight…. Mateo. It is a very underrated game and i would love for you to reach out to the makers so they can add online PVP They have Creed VR beat by A texas mile. If they can just upgrade the game to PvP online or better yet local play. If thrill of the fight can achieve it. I can be in business

I totally agree. One of the reasons I fell in love with VR is that it reminded me of flat gaming in the mid-90's when the industry was shifting over to 3D games. It was a major paradigm shift, it seemed new and fresh and interesting, and most importantly, nobody knew what the hell they were doing! That sounds like a bad thing, but it just means that the rules, genres, and formulas hadn't been established yet, so there was a ton of wild experimentation and gaming seemed full of potential. VR had the same feeling to me, where flat games haven't felt that exciting since that time.
It is a common complaint that VR games graphics doesn't look as good as other more established platforms. What I see is that the one that is pushing the limits in ARM gaming and graphics quality is the amazing people working on VR. Batman, Metro and Behemoth look amazing for the media. As always, the media matters and artists take advantage of the media limitations to give it character and personality.
It's also quite common to see that opinion parroted online from folks who have never even worn a VR headset -- because a lot of the games with lower graphics look eons better when you're actually in the headset.
If we made games to the same graphics standard as flat games they wouldn’t be able to be run at such high resolutions and high frame rates. Honestly if a game looks as good as half life alyx I’m sold. In VR even bad graphics games look good.

Metro Awakening, Alien Rogue Incursion, and Batman Arkham Shadow are why I finally ordered the Meta Quest 3 today. Assassin’s Creed Nexus, Ghostbusters Rise of the Ghost Lord, and Creed Rise to Glory being out now were the other games that interest me so the Meta Quest 3 finally became a justified purchase.
Don't forget the older games that have been updated for the Quest 3. I loved the Saints & Sinners games and currently trying to finish Retribution, if you are into zombies. Also in that theme, the Arizona Sunshine games. I played the second one first on my Quest 3. A fun shooter. Then I liked it so much I went and played the first, fun but made for the Quest 1 I think. Anyways, it's being updated for the Quest 3 this Fall also. Enjoy!
Dont sleep on Behemoth, Contractors Showdown or Smash Drums. Resident Evil 4 If you have a decent computer you can play games on SteamVr Not only is it really fun, but the potential of what it can be is worth investing in
Also the original Contractors (NOT Contractors Showdown) has a lot of great mods if you were into old fps games like mw2 (2009), blops1, cod zombies (waw - blops 2), halo 3, TF2, and more!

mixed reality looks so much better than i previously thought. i still remember when microsoft showed off minecraft mixed reality 9 years ago. it took 9 years for mixed reality to become a thing.
it makes me smile to see you so happy, I remember a time, back in 2021/2022 were there was a time after the Quest 2 where things in the VR space were really shaking and uncertain, it’s refreshing to see the new ideas and games in the space.
I really appreciate Flat To VR. I’ve been in their discord for a long time now. They work tirelessly. I also appreciate what they’ve done but I don’t think I will only be playing one of their new games. The others don’t interest e but I’m sure people who love flat games will love them. Thanks Matteo! I'm guessing it's a Quest3 exclusive so it can really push the xr2 gen2 to it's full potential without having to worry about a Quest2 version. It looks like a game to really put MR on the map.

Definitely interesting titles there - Silent North, Grim, Wall Town Wonders, maybe Memorium, Action hero also. Perhaps more so than the big ones that are coming this year (Batman, Alien etc.). I mean DayZ and Rust like games in VR is the dream.

Hey, I finally bought a PSVR 2 thanks to it going on sale here for the same price as it recently was in the US/UK. Glad you gave Trombone Champ a shot and had positive things to say about it. It might not be what hardcore VR players want, but the flat version was very popular, and there's a significant market for goofy games in VR. IMO Flat2VR did a good job of covering a wide number of bases with their initial lineup. Can't wait to see what they're able to do in the future once they get some high quality (and hopefully profitable) releases under their belt. Also, while I still don't care about MR, Wall Town Wonders actually looks pretty solid. Of all the MR games I've seen, that one looks like the most interesting use of the tech to me.
I'm really excited that Flat2VR Studios porting a Starbreeze Entertainment game. That gives me hope that we can see a Chronicles of Riddick or The darkness game on VR in the future.

Wall Town Wonders seems really cool. If I had some bare wall space I would definitely get it, but not sure if it will work with how I have my house set up. I kind of want to see some sort of MR boxing/kickboxing game that let's you use a heavy bag.
I was watching Wall Town Wonders and it gave me an idea I think would be cool. Some kind of Oddworld Abes Odessey MR. You could have voice commands and use cool mechanics how you were making that hot air balloon to save Mudokons. There was other cool mechanics like the dynamite blowing up the wall. Better yet, if it had a 32ft x32ft scan to make a special level, that would be awesome in real life size with traps and other things to navigate through!

Things like super hot and action heroes are cool but I feel like they would really excel with a mode to watch a recording of yourself playing the level but in "real time" after you beat it.
i'd like to see a return of the LucasArts adventure games... Something like Bootstrap Island graphics with a whole adventure with puzzles and dialog. MONKEY ISLAND VR!!!! Also GTA VR !!!! We need made for VR GTA. Alien game looks good.
I love all of the bother/sisterhood XR pictures you all posted from Gamecom. It’s awesome seeing people from all over the world, from different walks of life come together. IMNSHO, that’s the best thing about XR, hands down, bringing us together as people. I want to talk about Trombone Champ, but I’m still under my Impact Labs NDA, but I am generally excited for much of what’s coming.

I can’t stand anymore for cartoon-ish style VR Games, make it polished and more “professional atmosphere” (like: Alyx) and the VR industry won’t be treated a “kids thing” anymore. It’s unbelievable a game from 5 years old still “pretty much) sailing alone in this universe, when we talk about pristine, storytelling, immersive top notch quality title it’s a unanimous, just Alyx pop out since ever!
I've been rocking Bobo head straps since the Quest 2 but I ordered one of those kiwi design head straps that you recommend. It was a game changer Not only was it more comfortable than the Bobo straps but it fit and carrying cases much better
Great overview and video. Currently on my wishlist I have a bunch of the big titles that you can't talk about. But then I watch this and felt positive that more good-looking games are coming and honestly as you pointed out, these aren't even the AAA titles. Wall Town Wonders could be good, I'll definitely look for that one. I do love survival games so Bootstrap Island interests me. Alright then, I have more games to add to my wishlist.
Thanks again for your reviews of up and coming games. Some of these games at the end of your video look amazing and you said these are not the top tier games. There were some recent sale prices on STEAM for my PC so I finally got Fallout 4 VR. the latest SkyRim VR, Dark Matter 2, Trepang2, and Resident Evil 7 to name a few. I am getting back into doing more action single player games - my last action shooter games long ago were Doom, Quake, and Wolfenstein games (now have these in VR). Also, still do allot of SIM racing games in VR. Any games I pick I try to make them be VR ready, mods to make them into VR, or work with UEVR. I do my VR gaming with the Quest 3 and via the USB link cable. Look forward to the next game review video whenever you can release information about them. Not really interested in the Batman game, but I am interested in some of the others that will be coming down the pike to the PC and on STEAM. Thanks for the video and information. Take care.
Yeah... the future of VR seems exciting. I'm so glad about that as it seemed a bit iffy for a while there. VR is terrific for seniors and you don't really have to be a "gamer" to totally like it. I'm waiting to get new eyeglass Rx and then I'll upgrade to the Quest 3 sooner rather than later.
@@garrettferrell6821 Oh yes! I think the VR thing should be definitely pushed towards seniors for the movement/exercise/reaction stimulation that can become increasing lacking as one ages.

I'm really excited about the movement in VR, but I think that the real shift is going to come when we start getting games that can't be described as "it's basically _______ , but in VR". Probably 95%+ of VR games currently fall into that category, including upcoming titles, so I'm hoping we'll get some genuine out-of-the-box thinking fairly soon.

Are you sure Escaping Wonderland is coming to PCVR? On the VR Games Showcase, the trailer only mentioned Meta Quest. Down the Rabbit Hole is really fun and I was disappointed that the game in this universe won't come to Steam.

Pretty much more games that will do absolutely nothing for VR. Games that are not fleshed out enough in terms of look and depth or/and games that will be dead on arrival. We need great quality multiplayer games to get people in VR.

The complaint is that first gen pc vr games are miles beyond what's been made in the last 5 years... hard to get excited about downgrades.

Escaping Wonderland sounds and looks a little like Down the Rabbit Hole…which I really loved. Looking forward to that one 👍🏻

I've been rocking Bobo head straps since the Quest 2 but I ordered one of those kiwi design head straps that you recommend. It was a game changer Not only was it more comfortable than the Bobo straps but it fit and carrying cases much better

Great overview and video. Currently on my wishlist I have a bunch of the big titles that you can't talk about. But then I watch this and felt positive that more good-looking games are coming and honestly as you pointed out, these aren't even the AAA titles.
Wall Town Wonders could be good, I'll definitely look for that one. I do love survival games so Bootstrap Island interests me. Alright then, I have more games to add to my wishlist.

There were some recent sale prices on STEAM for my PC so I finally got Fallout 4 VR. the latest SkyRim VR, Dark Matter 2, Trepang2, and Resident Evil 7 to name a few. I am getting back into doing more action single player games - my last action shooter games long ago were Doom, Quake, and Wolfenstein games (now have these in VR). Also, still do allot of SIM racing games in VR. Any games I pick I try to make them be VR ready, mods to make them into VR, or work with UEVR.
I do my VR gaming with the Quest 3 and via the USB link cable. Look forward to the next game review video whenever you can release information about them. Not really interested in the Batman game, but I am interested in some of the others that will be coming down the pike to the PC and on STEAM.

Yeah... the future of VR seems exciting. I'm so glad about that as it seemed a bit iffy for a while there. VR is terrific for seniors and you don't really have to be a "gamer" to totally like it. I'm waiting to get new eyeglass Rx and then I'll upgrade to the Quest 3 sooner rather than later.
I had no idea seniors would even be interested in VR but after reading a lot of game reviews on my Quest 3,I have seen quite a few seniors posting
@@garrettferrell6821 Oh yes! I think the VR thing should be definitely pushed towards seniors for the movement/exercise/reaction stimulation that can become increasing lacking as one ages.

Rust is already in VR. Thye have 3 servers, with 100 player cap. It is almost identical to rust, the game is called strayed

I'm really excited about the movement in VR, but I think that the real shift is going to come when we start getting games that can't be described as "it's basically _______ , but in VR". Probably 95%+ of VR games currently fall into that category, including upcoming titles, so I'm hoping we'll get some genuine out-of-the-box thinking fairly soon.

Yeah I've been waiting for the good ones to come it looks like it's getting better and better, I remember when I first started I couldn't keep the head set on for more than 20 min( just in menu screen lol) ,now it doesn't bother me at all.u do get used to it
Are you sure Escaping Wonderland is coming to PCVR? On the VR Games Showcase, the trailer only mentioned Meta Quest. Down the Rabbit Hole is really fun and I was disappointed that the game in this universe won't come to Steam.

I am super pumped for VR. I love my PSVR2 Currently, it is the only headset I have. Were there any new PSVR2 games announced at gamescom? I watched the awesome VR showcase so I know about those 7 games. Thanks.
