I like how Dewalt is improving there circular blades but they should of said the new blades lasts twice as long is there older blades vs going after diablo. Awesome demonstration has always.

I would take the Diablo over Dewalt saw blades anyday. I love my Makita and Dewalt tools, but Diablo blades made in Italy are far superior to those made in Vietnam and China. Been through a crap ton of blade manufacturers in my life and you get what you pay for when it comes to Diablo.
Marketing 101 claim to be twice as good and charge a little under twice the price.
DeWalts Elite team must use Marketing 201 - clearly a cut above …

I’m 100% DeWalt tools, but the 6.5” circ & 12” mitre saws started rocking Di-A-Blo Red blades after your recents reviews and I don’t think that’ll change anytime soon - soooo smmooothhh. Happy New Year!

In the uk we have something called the competition commission regulations that dont allow manufacturers to put on these stupid bold claims against other manufacturers... I think
I just used a Dewalt 10" framing blade. I am here to say that I am impressed with the performance of this blade, that's the best blade I have ever bought. It made my table saw feel like it's a 3hp table saw.
They both seem like good blades for their intended use. Thanks to your test, I would think people would go for the cheaper and stronger toovs blade just in case you come across a nail or 26. Love these use and abuse video comparisons and reviews.

this is one of the reasons why when i was choosing a power tool platform i would never have picked Dewalt, they lie about there product and cheat on the demonstrations, also they are high price and low quality. i have known more Dewalt tools with dead motors or cracked cases than i have known any makita tools that were broken and that's saying something because most people i know use makita and 1 bloke is a fencing contractor and still uses the old 18v brushed makita drills every day some of his battery's and drills are over 12 years old and still running well
I actually like their carbide blades. I already had a ton of extra diablos from the HD sales, but i bought a couple dewalt's from Lowe's and have been happy with them. Mostly just liked the lime green color at first 😂
Bought one of these blades and a tooth busted off cutting 1/2" quarter round. Gotta stick with the Diablo blades for now. Love the tools though!! 💪

For my tools any that have "saw" as part of their descriptive name get Diablo blades. Simple as that.

Before the test was ran, the DeWalt blade looked to have inconsistencies with the pitch of the Carbide teeth from one to another.
I've stuck with diablo for every type of blade. I've tried just about every brand and haven't found anything better, or for the price. And red blade on milwaukee tools you just cant go wrong!

Dewalt tools are excellent across the board, just purchase at the level you need.
Stick to Frued blades Diablo model or otherwise.
I've stopped buying blades. I clean the pitch off with aerosol oven cleaner (use outdoors with gloves) and a light sharpen with a $60. Harbor Freight sharpener. I have 20 used blades so I doubt I'll ever buy another.
Almost bought a DeWalt Elite, but went with the trusted and true Diablo instead. Thanks for the reassurance.

I only run dewalt blades in my 165mm saw. When it comes to performance versus cost they cant be beat. Sure there are more expensive blades but with rough framing I don't seem to get any longer out of an more expensive brand
Very helpful review! Diablo blades are hands down my favorite blade. But I've purchased a couple DeWalt Elite blades recently, because we only have a Lowe's near the job site and I'd have to drive an hour for a Diablo. I'm mostly cutting wood only, but I've been very impressed with the Elite blade! I agree with you that it's too high priced, but it's the best blade at Lowe's. I've not tried the FLEX blade though. I think the FLEX informercial said that the the FLEX blade lasts 100 times longer than Diablo?! I may have misunderstood. Maybe you could test the FLEX blade?

I’ve tried the dewalt blade and it’s garbage! Lost 2 teeth just going through framing lumber. Used Freud/Diablo for years and the are amazing and good value, the only time I use anything else is in a pinch and grab what’s available. I did try the new makita efficut and was surprised with how good they are.
You should have ran it a total of six times, which would be double the test of the Diablo.
Is there any difference between the 12 inch Diablo 100-tooth "ultimate polished finish" blades that you see on Home Depot for roughly $75 vs the Diablo 12 inch 100 tooth ultimate polished finished blades you see on Amazon for $50? There is some graphic differences on the blades but thats all i can tell. I was just wondering how there could be that large of a price difference between the two and there not be a difference. Has anyone tested these?

Thought I wanted a boutique blade for my table saw. Went to a local hardwood dealer that sells CMT products. Turns out CMT doesn't even make exactly what I'm looking for - 10" 50-tooth ATB+R. Went to Home Depot... there's a Diablo blade exactly like what I'm looking for, 37 dollars.
Diablo is the only blade I run in my saws

Should compare with new diablo framing blade not the used one.. or you should make video by comparing the demolation diablo 24T with this DeWalt blade .. spec on diablo 24T blade is for wood only compared to diablo demolation blade 24T

Good rule of thumb 👍. If your the greatest , no need to mention the competition 😉.
Diablo might be the best in the game right now for all types of blades and drill bits including oscillating-tool blades when price-to-performance is concerned.
The only company that I think can compete with the value of Diablo saw blades is the Hercules saw blades from Harbor Freight. The quality, particularly of their demolition blades, is very close to Diablo but at a lower price.
I was skeptical when I first saw the Dewalt blades due to their smaller carbide teeth.
If they were a bit bigger, they probably would have done a bit better, but still did great 👊
I'll probably stick with Diablo (crack!!) saw blades but I can tell you from experience, Dewalt has the best Step bit in the business. Great video. Cheers!

This is a cool test, but it's not really scientific. They are not purporting that their blade is twice as good going through nails and bolts. Now that should probably be taken into consideration, but you should do a test just on wood with both. Since that's what the blades are for.
Almost without exception, Dewalt's cutting blades of any kind are inferior to most of their competition. I am a Dewalt tool owner by choice (great products) but their "consumables" are overpriced under-performers. Diablo is not the best blade - just the best blade for the money. That's where they position themselves in the market and I don't see them losing their crown anytime soon.

Now do another pointless test with bi-metal blades by cutting through concrete and see what brand can last longer.
In all seriousness, I know how good Diablo blades are, but I also know that even if all the carbide teeth are still there, I guarantee you that the tips are all broken off. I noticed that you just need to hit one sigle drywall screw with a brand new blade and then you fell like your blade is completely dull.
My point is, you might be able to cut more nails with a diablo blade, but it still doesn't take much before the blade is good for the trash no matter what brand it is. Unless you don't mind not getting clean and fast cuts.
