I did the same trip in my 2023 Subaru Forester Wilderness this past spring. I also had a rooftop tent. It weighs 150 pounds. The vehicle drove great, just Had to slow down in very high winds with the rooftop tent. I would highly recommend putting on the Wilderness Mud Flaps, not the splash guards. The stones on the Dempsters got everywhere under my forester and started making noises rubbing on all the underbody shields. I put them on when I got back, but wish I had them before I left. The dust was real bad also. Dust everywhere !!!!!
I used Backroad maps pro subscription. Downloaded all the maps on my 11 inch tablet. Then I used Seasucker and Ram mounts on the windshield, and used padding on the dashboard and let the tablet rest on the dashboard.
I just went whatever route I had time to drive. Mostly secondary roads and Hyw's. I drove from Vancouver up to Terrace BC. Then up the 37 north to Watson Lake Yt. When I came back I drove down North Eastern BC. Then drove across oil country to Cold Lake Alberta. Then Northern Saskatchewan. Through Riding Mountain Nat. Park Manitoba. Then the Northern Route Ontario.
Greetings from oakville thanks for the presentation I dont have all wheel drive but use winter tires for 5 months of the year and my others for the remaining months cheers 😊
I recently bought a 2024 Forester Wilderness and have the same RTT from Inspired Overland. I plan on doing some soft over landing, nothing like the journey you're going on. Have a safe journey.

A crosstrek has a weaker engine than a toyota camry. 182 HP vs. the camry's 225. The only good thing about this car is that it has all wheel drive. But around town and on a highway, you're going to be passed by my father in his Camry. It gets far worse mileage. It's noisier. It doesn't handle as well. The electronics and safety package are inferior. I don't know why anyone buys these things. It must only sell to people who don't watch car reviews. If you want to off-road, get a Jeep or a Land Rover. This vehicle is literally bad in every category that it participates in.
I just drove my 2023 forester wilderness for 1 1/2 months from Ontario to the Artic Ocean. Same engine as the crosstrek. I have passed thousands and thousands of 4cyl. Toyota camrys in my 3/ 4cyl. Subarus. I have also driven over 3 million miles in a 18 wheel transport trucks. The joke for years was always how dead slow people drive in Corrollas and Camrys. Power is only good if you use it, that car has tons of RALLY CAR POWER. Just put the pedal down and use it. Don't cry like everyone else about no power. Because they drive like grandma's, that's why they say it has no power. Because they drive like grandma's. FACT.
I’ve owned this vehicle for a few months already and you are absolutely wrong about everything you just said. If you want to drive your Camry, which is great on highways with no snow or rain or anything else, you go for it dude. But once anything adverse happens then your Camry sucks…just like your opinion.

The Driving Sports channel has a few reviews of this model Crosstrek and they praise it. Best car is it's class for off-roadig from what they say

Let’s see your dad’s Camry make it to the Arctic Ocean.

You don’t like Subarus… it’s ok no worries. Other people do… it will be ok. Just don’t buy one and you should be fine❤
