- PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION - This canvas painting tutorial will take you through easy step-by-step instructions on how to draw and paint this lively and spirited landscape image painting of "YOGA MOUNTAIN” with acrylic paint. I love yoga and it’s something that I try to fit into my schedule as best I can, which is to say that I am not very consistent with it despite my best efforts. I wish I was because I just feel better overall when I do it regularly. I sleep better, my back doesn’t ache, I have more energy and confidence, and I’m more relaxed throughout the day. After 45 minutes of warrior, table, boat, cobra and downward dog poses, oh, and backbends, there is nothing like lying on the floor in corpse pose and feeling centered, balanced and ready to take on the day. Which for me, is sometimes interrupted by the sounds my husband makes grunting and groaning as he tosses his cast iron weights around in the basement, which is just below the yoga room. To each their own, I guess. I have no desire to do a single squat thrust and he has no desire to do a tree pose. I don’t think he could even if he tried, just like I couldn’t take a sip of one of his thick and sludgy protein shakes. Anyway, for anyone who knows me, or who has read some of my other video descriptions, you understand that I love nature, so, in the spirit of combining my love for the outdoors and for yoga, join me and paint with acrylics this exciting, fun and easy image of a woman doing yoga on a mountain top ledge! Just imagine yourself in your favorite yoga pose, enjoying a sunrise or sunset while listening and breathing in all the clean nature air around you! The first lesson you’ll learn in this easy beginner painting tutorial is how draw an outline for your landscape hills followed by blending colors directly on the canvas to create a colorful sky and mountains, creating an enchanting inviting feel to the relaxing, tranquil composition scene. After learning how to draw a rock and tree with your paintbrush, you’ll paint a base coat on your objects to work off of. Then you’ll paint highlights and shadows on the rock and tree for added depth and texture, creating roundness on the tree and rough edge on the rock giving them both a 3-D appearance like a photograph. You’ll then use a stippling or dotting technique to easily paint life-like backlit leaves that have a glow of sunshine around the edges. The next step is to follow a dot-to-dot method to draw an outline for your person. You'll learn how to mix a realistic skin tone that is applied on a dark base coat in order to finish your exercising lady with contours, perspective, dimension and form on her body, hair, skin and clothing. Using only 3 brushes, 7 colors, and only one brush per step, you’ll create the best canvas painting in the world! Paint loosely and make it an abstract or impressionistic painting, paint with oils and make it fine art, use bold yellows and red and make it pop art! Not just an inspirational painting with a storybook illustration narrative, but an easy painting for beginners. Paint at home, alone, or with friends! Have a date night, paint party, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or water colour, any medium will work for this canvas art! Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, ultra-marine blue, fluorescent orange, chrome yellow, burnt umber (brown) and green oxide

STEPS:
1. Pencil - Draw outline for landscape
2. 3/4 inch bristle brush - Paint sky with blue, white, orange and yellow
3. 3/4 inch bristle brush - Paint mountains with brown, white, blue, green, yellow and orange
4. #5 round brush - Paint base coat for rock, tree trunk and branches with black and brown
5. #5 round brush - Finish tree and rock with black, orange, brown, and white
6. 3/4 inch bristle brush - Paint leaves on tree with black, green, yellow, white and orange
7. Pencil - Draw outline for person
8. #1 round brush - Paint base coat for yoga person with black
9. #1 round brush - Finish person with green, white, yellow, brown and orange
