Um, I screwed up the schedule. I thought it was Saturday. So enjoy this a Day early!!!! Did you guys know its Friday?!?!?!? Cause I apparently didnt LMAO
Lol big mood
Get it together, Benny!
I did cause I have to work! 😂
Okay
Happy Friday Benny.
This season of the flash has been like watching a highschool drama play. The writing must be done by a 12 year old
Or the Riverdale writers
@@thephoenix2038 it's like they are trying to save $$$ on CGI, and their main focus is superman and Lois.
@@thephoenix2038 oh yeah that's precious Riverdale
@@luciphergaming6582 Good, because unlike the rest of the Arrowverse, Superman and Lois is actually a good show
All CW shows always have been like this imo
Honestly I stopped after season 4 and It was at its best in season 1 and 2 in my opinion.
Me too, I don’t even know what plot point is going on in the show? Did he loose his speed again?
I stopped watching after Season 4 and after a year I watched Season 5 and haven't watched anything since.
100% but I still watch. The recent Godspeed ep was sooo much better than the ep we were getting tho
I stopped watching Halfway through the 6th season but i do agree with you. The 1st two seasons were the best. Season 3 wasnt that bad either
Agreed.
Seasons 1-2 of Arrow and Flash were the peak of the arrowverse.
Agree, it went downhill since that
Season 5 of arrow was peak arrow but yeah close enough
Also season 3 of Legends.
That's where it found footing and became the batsh*t crazy superhero show. It was like tamed Doom Patrol before the Doom Patrol.
Season 5 of Arrow was great. It really fixed a lot of the issues the show was having but season 6 took all that back. Season 5 should have been the ending.
(Spoilers)
Yes just leave it on a cliff hanger with the island blowing up.
@@MandalorV7 that's what I do. Just find my own ending. Like to me, Infinity War was the true ending to the MCU. Half of everyone died. The end. Endgame sucked.

I mean, I totally forgot about their child too, till i read this comment😂
Omg we’re is joe and ceciles kid 😂😂
Maybe their kid is gone because of Crisis? But if so, someone would have definitely pointed it out because they have their memories of the timeline before crisis. So idk...
This last episode of The Flash where Iris had to remind Barry that he had a chem lab at CCPD where he could do blood and urine testing was just bad writing. Even when she's not in an episode they have to make her seem like the most intelligent person out of a group of scientists.
They think portraying her as smarter than people far smarter than her makes her useful. It doesn't.
I’m sorry but how does her reminding him he has a lab make her like god smart it’s just a simple reminder. Barry still needing his team and being a dumbass is bad writing . Not a wife reminding her husband about his csi lab
I'm sorry, but Her reminding Barry he has a Lab in CCPD isn't showing Iris is some person on the Mobius Chair, instead it shows Barry is Fast on his Feet, Slow in the Mind.
It's bad writing, correct, but for the wrong Reasons.
@@flashallen9157 He's a CSI so he should know he has a lab.
@@Xehanort10 he was boosted with excitement and stuff at the possibility Iris was pregnant. Some people forget stuff when they are excited and her reminding him still doesn’t make her god smart. It’s a basic reminder , it’s nothing big . If she reminded him that he has super speed then I’ll say I don’t care how excited he is , he should remember that but this was just such a basic reminder. Nothing that big like I said
Barry didn’t even remember he was a csi for a whole 4 seasons . Damn the writers don’t even remember he’s a csi it’s almost like they inserted a argument into the script
The Flash has so many villians at its disposal, instead we get the ones that shot rainbows from their fists and use mind tricks 😑 They've gotten too comfortable..
Yeah bro the rainbow rider is the best flash villain
Don't dis the rainbow beams
Don't underestimate rainbows.
CW has proven that they can only do somewhat well when a speedster villain is present, they clearly don’t know how to handle non speedster villains because they always make Flash dumber to give them a chance
Rainbow bright use your might
The CW shows have been really disappointing over the past few years. I stopped after the Crisis and the end of Arrow, Superman and Lois and Stargirl have ropped me back in. I will probably get back to Legends cause I think it’s so fun. But the problem with the CW shows is the melodrama, nonsensical plots, lack of respect for the source material, and overall horrible writers and producers that don’t belong on a superhero show.
Same
I mean- the Legends writers are pretty good. The CW just seems to have stopped caring about them so they can pretty much get away with anything
Yeah Legends has remained the same quality and I love that
If by "going downhill" you mean swan-diving off a cliff into 1 m deep water infested with piranhas... But yeah, it's been mostly terrible for at least 4 years now, with the exception being Arrow season 5. I put it down to terrible writing and poor show structure in the sense they take a whole damn season to resolve a single main threat with TONS of filler in between.....
That's why I prefer show with only 10 ep
@@spectre3926 Unfortunately, this is what television is filled up with. My advice, just go to anime for entertainment, same with manga. This is also another reason why DC and Marvel are failing, meanwhile, you got manga and anime series like My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer outselling both of them.
At this point, Marvel and DC are dead
@@the1stassassin422 marvel falling?
Going downhill? It reached the bottom of the hill, crashed, and exploded. To think, it could've been so much better in good hands. This whole arrowverse could've been so much better in capable hands.
As for CW as a whole. Their current shows are all basically all the same show, but with some details changed. It's very formulaic, and it's very boring. Also, they clearly don't know when to cancel a show.
They're already cancelled Arrow, Black Lightning and they're about to yanked Supergirl. TAKE THE HINT!!
They should cut their losses and pull the plug on all of them.
@@2013venjix arrow was only running for 8 season when it first drop so take you don’t follow at all what happens and for the other show s never should of been made. Supergirl is Clark Kent in her show so she was not really supergirl just a female version of of Clark Kent. Black lighting well they just messed that up bc they didn’t get story correct so that’s why it was doom from the start.

Not yet at least. 😕
The problem is that they have horrible show runners/writers and shows like the flash that were originally amazing have gone horribly downhill (ever since season 4) but there’s Hope yet when we look at Superman and Lois
Until the writers leave and that turns to shit.
Season 3*
The signs were there since Season 3.
If you go back and pay attention to the early flash episodes, I think you might change your opinion on how amazing the early episodes were.
Sure, compared to later seasons and other CW shows, they're masterpieces, but compared to good or even mediocre TV, it falls laughably short.
Also, the actors that play Jordan and John in Superman and Lois seriously need acting lessons or just better writers for their characters.
The "This house is bitchin'" mystery actually made the show a lot more amusing at the time 🤣
They need to take the Grant Morrison Justice League approach: kill off all of the characters that no one likes and get back down to the core characters
Yes
They’ll end up destroying the universe since the arrowverse characters are all shit
That s a Wonderfully Delicious Idea
Hahaha
Unfortunately the CW shows are going downhill lately and unfortunately the problem with a lot of them is well obviously is the focus on drama and nonsense, however out of all the shows the only good one we have now is Superman and Lois which I am happy about because that show is fantastic and tons of fun but other then that they really need to pull the plug with the arrowverse and just focus on the good shows they have but that’s just my opinion.
Lately? I’ve noticed it for years
The arrowverse has been going downhill for years. Black lightning, arrow and supergirl have ended. The only shows they got left is flash, legends and batwoman.
There only good show superman and lois. Legends is fun but it needs to end since all their original members have left. Flash needs to end cause they've run out of ideas.
when r the flash writers gonna understand: YOU CAN MAKE IRIS A STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER AS A REPORTER WITHOUT MAKING HER UNNECESSARILY INVOLVED IN EVERY SCENE AND MAKING HER SMARTER THAN LIKE ACTUAL SCIENTISTS KSJGHSJK. omg just let barry figure stuff out himself smh
Can we talk about how the cw refuses to promte their shows besides legends abd super girl? The season finale of batgirl just dropped with no trailers and the final season on black lightning had like three four trailers even though its one of the few shows where the drama kinda works.
Probably batwoman doesn’t make enough profit to justify making a trailer
Legends is actually pretty good if it's the kind of thing that you like though
Hehe, eating eggs makes you a monster 🤣
I remember vaguely someone mentioned in the show that the father had to fertilize the eggs.
So until then, there wasn't really anything in those eggs yet. It was just hollow tasty proteins for Grogu to munch on
The cw shows are trash now, they just recycle old plot points and/or come up with even shittier plot points. And the budget isn’t the greatest.
The flash died after season 3.
That's a CW show pretty much. I think you nailed the issues perfectly.Too many characters, too many episodes for such a thin plot. And they really hammer in the drama..they low key made an abortion episode with the "forces" BS and it wasn't necessary.
I think the CW shows inevitably become bogged down by their own sentimentality.
It’s because they turn into tween dramas. For example the the dread that was Olicity killed arrow for me. For flash it’s the meloncholy writing like if it’s a drama that belongs on freeform 🤢I stopped watching arrow after the Damian dahrk season and flash after the Savitar season
You stopped after S4 of Arrow... you missed S5 m8: a top dog season among the Arrowverse.
That’s where I stop as well 😂😂💀🤦🏽♂️
Stopped more or less at same place. Tried to start up again when the crisis crossover was about to happen, but couldn't push any further.
yeah they need to realize that just because u have teens/tweens in ur audience doesnt make it an excuse for lazy writing/not knowing how to use ur characters. and as a hardcore arrow comics fan nothing annoyed me more than olicity smh
If the CW is about Teen Dramas imagine what Season 2 of Superman and Lois will be like?😨
*Anime Fans:* "I don't get it. Did Barry say they're not blood-related at any point before they got married? If not, THAT'S gross! If he did, there's nothing wrong. At all."
And, no, CW. I don't want to see you CW-up the Powerpuff Girls. Japan revamped the Pwerpuff Girls (yes, THAT Japan) and they still managed to handle it with dignity. I don't want to see the Powerpuff Girls deal with relationship drama. I don't want to see the Powerpuff girls be sexuIized. NO!
Agree
wut? you said that when there are lots of incest-themed manga, anime, and light novel made in japan? if anything, they being a step-siblings should arouses some folks.
Simple answer: I would wager that it has to do with CW being run by Warner Bros/Viacom/ and CBS.
Indecisive leadership is worse than having none at all
I blame the network itself. Just look at their other shows
@@stonalisa3729 CW is WB's TV branch, but it's both. WB's upper management is garbage and CW seems to exist solely for melodrama.

I have a feeling the Arrowverse might get bashed on next.

It's the writing. It's like a 14yr old girl from Tumblr wrote the shows. the issues, you don't want people talking about are more obvious because they are so badly written. It feels like they forgot who is watching the show. If you want to draw in existing fans who have to write something they want. the other thing is so many of these writers for a lot of pop-culture types shows, keep trying to write themselves as the lead character. I don't have an issue with that if it wasn't for the fact that your Tumblr fanfic wasn't good when you wrote it the first time. You can not take a character with 50+ years of back story, and turn it into your power fantasy.
I find it funny how literal fanfic authors are better writers than the writers for these shows.
It’s all that the CW is now with any of the shows if you haven’t already been going for 10 years + .

I had local channels in NYC back in the day. WB 11 and UPN 9 were separate channels. Kids WB was a block after school and in Saturday mornings. UPN 9 had some of the low-key best shows like Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd century.
These CW shows focus too much on the people behind the masks.
These are supposed to be super hero shows, not soap opera's.
This is also why i stopped watching Arrow. I don't mind Ollie having a girlfriend, but the focus of the show should be the story, action and fighting villains, not Ollie and Felicity's relationship troubles.
That's one reason Arrow got ruined. People were there to see Oliver make up for his dad's crimes, clean up Star City's corruption and make it a better place, do good and help people. Not to see his relationship with a hacker who worked at his company with their whole relationship coming out of nowhere being a retcon the end of Season 2 at the start of Season 3. In Seasons 1 and 2 Oliver and Felicity were just friends and allies and Oliver only said he loved her at the end of Season 2 to get Felicity close enough to Slade so she could inject him with the Mirakuru cure. But in Season 3 Marc Guggenheim retconned Oliver into actually meaning it and right there was when the show stopped being for people who wanted to watch a superhero show and they started pandering to love starved shippers who only care about who bangs who. Their obsession with big teams led to the annoying Rene" hoss" Ramirez, failed Sara and Laurel replacements Dinah Drake and Black Siren, Ragman aka Mr I Only Exist To Absolve Felicity For Destroying Havenrock. Even though she didn't care that she killed everyone there as long as she didn't get killed. It made her as evil as some of the villains but she was instantly forgiven and let off the hook like a true Mary Sue. Then token gay man Curtis whose whole character was reminding people he was gay, balls jokes and saying he used to be an Olympic athlete.
I think the issue is the shows start big and exhaust all the good content in the early seasons.
Smallville and Gotham slowly built up big villains like Brainiac and Joker. The Flash and Arrow went straight in with villains like Deathstroke and Reverse Flash in seasons 1-2, by later seasons they’re using more obscure villains because all the big name ones have been done and struggling for reasons to keep villains like Eobard, Grodd and Merlyn relevant to story
CW plans the first season and half of the second one . Then, they make the following seasons on the fly
There might be a comment about this but there was actually a Scooby-Doo and Supernatural crossover back in the day. Supernatural Season 13, Episode 16: "Scoobynatural" was about Sam, Dean, and Castiel being transported to the animated world of Mystery Inc. characters. All of them have to solve a mystery.

The issue with the CW Arrowverse of DC shows is that there is no set end game. With Arrow, Black Lightning, Supergirl and The Flash all either done or ending, they should have ended them all at the same time instead of still trying to drag on with the lesser shows. They're just meandering with no creative ideas while also hoping people keep watching out of habit. I had been watching from episode 1 of Arrow all the way up to that last big crossover even with the Anti-Monitor and I really haven't watched since.
Im sorry but "going" it's BEEN downhill
Green Arrow was a fluke that Flash emulated, the peaks of the series really REALLY seems to make people forget that 80% of screen time was cringey overused relationship drama like the Marvel Netflix shows.
Melodrama. I feel like damn near every TV series is starting to struggle with that problem.
thing is, its not because he "did stuff" its because people dug up stuff he did a long ass time ago that he had completely divorced himself from, but they still canceled him because of it.
I lost all interest in the cw when arrow ended. They actually made me really enjoy the seasons up till the end of crisis and without arrow being that rock I just haven’t been able to generate interest in going back
Flash's first year was excellent. Then, they started repeating themselves. In hindsight, they needed to do a season or two, without a year long arc. Just build on one episode storylines. Built up a history. They should have let Cavanaugh go except for Reverse Flash appearances, and slowed down the reveal of Iris learning Barry's identity. Not that it should't have happened, but I would have waited a few seasons.
They've been going downhill since arrow s3
The issue is that most TV shows have this problem where only the intro to a season, the mid season, and the season finale (usually a 2 parter) really has any influence on the overall story. The rest rarely contribute anything meaningful and relies on a character to drop in with some brand new information to get things goin. They would benefit from shorter seasons with a more concise story that has greater impact.
Combine that with the recycled tropes where they're basically doing the same thing over and over again and it gets even worse. Arrow might have been interesting the first three seasons or so, but once some of the cast started leaving, you could see the show go downhill too. The plot became less and less relevant, especially the flashback stuff. Flash is of course the worst offender where you have new speedsters that are constantly faster than the Flash appear and it basically ends up recycling the same story multiple seasons. Supergirl I gave up on after season 2, so I can't say much about it other than in the few crossovers I've seen. Batgirl doesn't even feel like it has writers. Legends of Tomorrow feels more gimmicky, but is at least fun at times.
Unpopular opinion The Fourth Season of the Flash is my favorite season from the suits, some of the characters such as Devoe and Ralph, and the best of them all, the debut of Drunk Barry.
They were going downhill 5 years ago. The only good ones are Superman and Lois and Stargirl.
Its actually quite simple. The answer is yes, and the reason is this. They started making political statements instead of making entertainment.
The CW episode count is what really messes everything up. They should do 13 episode seasons that run for 1/2 year each. So have Flash run in the fall and Legends can pick up after winter break in Feb/March. All these useless characters and extra episode water down the shows too much
unpopular opinion but I thought legends of tomrorow season 1 was amazing. Rip assembling the team, seeing them learn to work with each other, Snarts sacrifice, Killing Savage in 3 time periods at the same time. Loved it.
It's going downhill because they don't care what we say about what's not working about the show, they think that making all these side characters have so much more screen time is better than actually watching Barry, they like to make the show have bad writing and especially in season 7 it's like they don't want to put effort into the show anymore but want to keep it going
Dont mean to repeat a comment but yeah the CW channel is woke and not enough superhero stuff Batwoman should have never gotten a second season but it did because they love bleeding money.
Why couldn’t Caitlin and Frost have stayed one character ? Why is the supporting cast swallowing up more time on the episode than The Flash on his own show ? I don’t think the people behind this show really knows how to carry the series at all .
Ya season one and two of the Flash were great and The Reverse-Flash was the best character in the show...
Iris is the most annoying character...
The writing has sucked most years...
The CW shows have been going downhill for years now. They've always been "people in corridors talking about their feelings" with a superhero coating on it, but in recent years especially with the woke crowd coming in and taking over them, they've become an absolute political preaching vomit fest. Hopefully they'll all get cancelled soon.
Black lightning was always about the family tho. Anissa and Jen basically had powers from day 1. Season 1 had a whole b plot of Anissa and her moonlighting as a hero on her own without even knowing her dad is black lightning. It's about a super hero father, you gotta give the kids something to do
Classic snowflake company dancing to cancel culture about old tweets. Core actors leave and they still go on with their drama soap opera.
How to ruin a good show - CW.
In my opinion only Smallville was consistently great for the majority of the series even with some of it's low points. None of the other comicbook shows maintained the peak quality after 2 seasons. Changing showrunners always causes it, but now you have social media critics ramming their ideas of how YOU should run your show they claim to be fans of. And the writers fold almost every single time. Fights become less frequent as storylines get more convoluted and repetitive in order to appease every single critic. Too many new characters introduced too soon/often without development or too much screentime at the sake of the main cast. Plot holes never filled. And did I say fights happen less?
Short answer: Yes, and the reason for that is because what made all of them exist to begin with isn't there anymore, but none of them will talk about that. And has been gradually shoved out over the course of the shows.
Nothing on the CW has been good since like season 2 of Arrow and the Flash.
It's really telling how many comments are complaining about material being "woke" or "diversity stuff".
I’m still on season 6 but man I just want the show to be about the flash again, screw every other characters lmao
I very much love Legends, it’s stayed the same quality throughout. And they know how to juggle great comedy and drama correctly.
They should have given Constantine a second season!
That wasn’t CW though
At least Matt Ryan has appeared as Constantine in Legends of Tomorrow and DC animated movies
The Flash needs to be over, it's ridiculous. It's stupid that they fired the guy that played Ralph over something he did TEN YEARS AGO!!!
P.S- Supergirl sucks after season 1.
First video I watched of this channel, been here since after the recent w2g colab. decided to click on this one because I've been a fan of the arrowverse since arrow season 4, and this question has been a pain point for me the past few years. I feel all of the shows should have ended with crisis on infinite earths. They already wrote a good ending for Oliver and made Barry an exit.
Iris really said "Hey step-bro" 😂
Hopefully Godspeed can redeem the flash cause last eps fights were great
1 or 2 EPs can't redeem 4 seasons
@@blitzblazer8838 exactly
@@blitzblazer8838 maybe not redeem, but at least see some improvements I doubt it will get back to what it once was but hopefully it gets better than whatever the hell seasons 4-7a was
38:23 The actress that played Nora was actually older than both Grant Gustin and Candice Patton
Whereas in Superman and Lois' case, the actress we know playing Lois (Elizabeth "Bitsie" Tulloch) is 6-7 years older than the actor playing Clark/Kal-El/Superman (Tyler Hoechlin). Age gap!
The answer is yes. I quit watching them a while ago. They just got so campy and annoying. I like camp. But it seemed like they were just being lazy with a big budget.
Matt Reeves is doing it well with making The Batman movie and then focusing on the GCPD with their own tv show
