10:00 , that music sounded so familiar but I couldn't put my finger on what other games used it. Then it hit me that is EXACTLY the music from Rastan on my Sega Master System.
I don't remember there being quite so many stray barrels in the bad 1985 but it has been a while since I've seen the movie. Those hoverboard portions did NOT look easy, nice work as usual!
The trick to the hoverboard sections is to keep moving from side to side to maintain momentum; if you come to a stop there's a lag while you speed up. Moving forward/backward has the same problem - it's much slower than moving from side to side. The REALLY annoying thing is crossing the water on stage 1 because you fall in if you stop moving...
For an ATARI ST port, this is so polished and smooth, it looks and feels good for an Amiga game even. It also has pretty good music with SFX together, graphics look solid... It's such a big shame that most european coders had no idea of how to make a good game. All technical aspects of this game are solid, but gameplay is awful. If the hoverboard levels had decent controls and the side scrolling level wasn't so slow and enemies didn't take 20 hits to die (look at Kung-Fu Master)... 3 hoverboard levels and 3 side scrolling levels and you'd have a pretty competent game (Who the fuck wants to play sliding puzzles on a 16 bits game? Why the fuck so many movie licenses had sliding puzzles?)
16:03 How I hate such puzzles. Even in modern games this means "game over" for me. But impressive, how bad this game was. Graphics, sound, gameplay. Just awful. Thank you for your efforts dealing with such a bad game.
Thanks for showing me what the levels beyond level 1 look like after 30 years. 😂
Right 😂 I just tried this game and can’t beat level one
Ah the great part of the film when Marty went on a fighting spree …….
When old man with a stick is speedy enough to endanger young man on scateboard, you know you are in 80's with fantasy.

Ah yes, marty's mighty groin kick
The music on this is insane good.
the only good
What I'd give to be able to play this game again somehow.
@@pizzaquasar where do I find that?
Anyone else remember when Marty went round kicking skinheads in the nuts?
It's really sad Japan got the best Back to The Future game back then and we didn't. I like the music and graphics.

Unlike the NES Bttf, here they at least did put some effort to make the game resemble something linked to the film.
Seems decent for it's time.
Better than the sms version.
*cough* "the only neat thing to do" ....
A frustrating and mediocre game with a cool soundtrack
Lol. Micros used to make games this way all the time. Do one style well? Fuck no, let’s do 3 styles of game really badly.
Fav movie ever...this one deserve a new next gen game
much better than this
