    I own a Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle and this field strip is almost exactly the same! Recently purchased a Springfield M1A EBR and very excited to shoot it at the range. Decided to review field strip videos before I need to clean :)
    I’m impressed how fast the bolt was put back into the receiver, I know personally it’s a very tricky process, sometimes takes me 5-10 minutes to get my bolt in my Mini 14 back into the receiver. So when I saw how fast you put it back in this video I started cheering like I was watching a sports event! Only thing I would recommend is getting a box of medical or nitrile gloves to help keep your hands clean.

      I opted for the Archangel CQB stock, a lot cheaper but basically the same principle. It's the same stock used on the SOCOM 16 CQB but mine is the standard 22" barrel and it fits just fine.

      Depends on what make of M1A/M14 action and barrel you install in it. LRB, Smith, Fulton yeah maybe. I wouldn't waste money on a Springfield unless it was one that came from the real US arsenal in Springfield Mass.

    I had one of those on two separate deployments to Iraq!! We were selected as the battalion PSD for the battalion commander so we had two of these for the platoon which was an infantry platoon anyways so it was easy for us to assume the role.

    • @Spamsmoothie1701
      @Spamsmoothie1701 3 роки тому

      You have to replace the oprod guide. It is provided with the Sage EBR chassis. This requires removing everything off the barrel to complete the installation. The chassis weighs about 4lbs. or so. Weight of the total system is typically 11lbs. - 15lbs. depending on final configuration.

  • @john-paulsilke893

    Can you remove all the lower pic rails and stick a short piece at the fore end for a bipod? They look beefy and probably add a bit of weight up front and an already heavy barrel.

    • @scottscammahorn1452
      @scottscammahorn1452 4 роки тому

      Last I checked with Sage Int they had short sections of pic rail available, but I had to call as they do not list them on the web page.

    • @Spamsmoothie1701
      @Spamsmoothie1701 3 роки тому

      You could, but the bottom rail on mine doesn't run the entire length of the bottom. It only goes to the handguard. You wouldn't save much weight by putting a shorter piece there.

    The old Rod Block in replaced by the new one and has a crush washer and three bolts to mount it to the EBR frame.
