Thank you Roger. Your comment was a pleasant distraction from my just starting work on part II of Episode 6. Your comment is much appreciated..........Cliff
@Clifford Rome - An Achievable Dream I just found your channel. I have been dreaming of an expedition trawler for several years. Probably won't be able to achieve the dream so love all your videos. Presently my favorite are Northern Marine and Bering. Hopefully you can market them so others can learn and appreciate your wealth of knowledge. Anacortes Trawler Feast is soon
Love to see others enjoy cruising the BC coast as much as we do. When I noticed Oasis on the dock in Discovery Harbour (she’s a beauty, and hard to miss 😁), I also discovered your videos. We’ll keep watching now, Alaska is on our list!
I'm curious as to how seeing OASIS led you to An Achievable Dream? I was chatting with a small group of people on the dock earlier today that seemed to know me, the boat and our golden retriever (Sarina), but couldn't recall when or where I had met them before. It wasn't 'till 15 minutes later that I realized that they knew us through our videos. This is going to take some adjusting for me, but it's always nice to meet other likeminded boaters! BC is equally as special as Alaska, only in a different way. The same can be said for cruising the East Coast of the United States, the Eastern provinces of Canada, Europe, etc. Each has its own charm, beauty, challenges and plenty of room for exploration, learning and growth. We are spending this summer, taking life at a leisurely pace, enjoying Canadian hospitality. Thank you for your kind words, support and taking the time to watch our video(s)................Cliff
@@AnAchievableDream Well, we walked past you folks on the dock today and I heard the other guy mention UA-cam. So, curiosity being what it is, and being something of a UA-cam junkie, I searched for Oasis.
There's a name I haven't heard in a while. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback....it really makes a difference! Most people tell me that they prefer Ep. 4 (narrated) but each episode has quite a different feel. I hope to have Ep. 5 out in the next couple of weeks (Defining the Attributes of a Well Found Expedition Yacht). Thanks again............Cliff
Thank you Andrew....much appreciated! After taking a few months off, I'm back at trying to get Episode 4 finished in the next two weeks. I hope you enjoy it...........Cliff (Be sure to subscribe to the channel so that you'll receive a notification when each episode is published.)
I really appreciate your note and letting me know that, even from so far away, someone is finding these videos interesting. Many thanks again for your taking the time to write............Cliff
Thank you just came across your site and spent the last 4 hours watching, great content and well scripted keep up the excellent work, will post this on other sites and hope it helps with your subscription numbers.
Hi Eddy. Glad you enjoyed it. I'm not sure anyone, even I could watch 4 hours straight, but certainly appreciate your comments and support. All the best.........Cliff
Who was the builder of your yacht? My husband and I have watched all your videos and are amazed at your attention to detail. Your yacht, being 28 years old, looks like it is brand new. How incredible!!
Much appreciated. It's a labor of love (and attention to detail doesn't hurt). OASIS was built by Delta marine (Seattle). They built 5 pleasure yachts out of this seiner mold, known as the Delta-70 and all of them are still out on the water. From time to time one comes on the market, but I don't recall seeing any recently. Thank you for your kind words..........Cliff
These are great. I recognize the time commitment that goes into doing this and wanted you to know how much they are appreciated. I watched the video outlining the ambitious series you are undertaking and wish you well and look forward to their arrival. Do you have a tentative schedule for the release of the upcoming segments?
Like most ambitious undertakings, if we knew how much work/time would really be involved, most of us would still be sitting in our chair. My original goal was to put together a team of +/-10 other people to help with this series, but so far it's a team of one, so I'm shooting for producing one episode every 3 or 4 months (if I can find the time). Thank you for watching and for your support.....it's a great motivator!!
@@AnAchievableDream if there is anything I can do, I am happy to help. We met Bruce Kessler at Trawler fest and a short time later had a tour of Northern Marine by Bud himself. It was just as Starr was being finished for the German gentleman. That was such an ambitious plan. Then kids came and things changed. For my selfish desire, I would encourage you to do the educational videos first. Your weather one was second to none and that type of information is very difficult to learn. Like trying to learn to swim by correspondence. The southern US to Vancouver is my next favourite.
@@deanrussell6763 Once I've completed Episode 4 (Prince William Sound, Kenai, Kodiak) we will return to more technical videos. Since I've already "published" the index, I'll try to stick with it so as not to be too confusing. Super nice of you to offer to help. If there is any area you have particular interest in please let me know. This is supposed to be a collaborative effort. I would have been around Northern when you were there, as I started the company with Bud and Chuck, so maybe our paths crossed? I sincerely appreciate your encouragement and support.
@@AnAchievableDream are you presently involved with Northern Marine? Oasis looks like the 80 ft Northern Marine but says Delta. Delta no longer shows that small of a boat. My wife and I really like how practical Oasis is, as well as the style. And it appears to me Seattle Yachts purchased NM
@@RWofWA I was only involved with Northern Marine (NM) since its inception in 1995 until around 2002. I too have heard that Seattle Yachts purchased NM, but I too am on the outside looking in and only know what I've heard or read. OASIS is a Delta 70, of which they built only 5 as yachts (+5 as fish boats), with OASIS being their final build in that mold. Since then, Delta decided to only build boats over 100' (a smart call, if you can get the work).
Nice video but a bit perplexed as to why you felt the need to mix in some of Tony Fleming's video here and there along the inside passage...and to not give due credit is a little messed up. Strange choices there, Clifford.
Excellent video presentation! We feel almost like we were there!
Thanks!
Wow, my admiration to your travels, your professionalism and your sea life. Thank you

Spectacular video. Thank you for investing so much time so that we can enjoy your adventure along with you.
An excellent video! Thank you for the efforts to make a very informative and interesting/inspiring series.

Cliff, your drone footage of the young bull moose was spectacular! Safe travels this summer. Pat and Olivia on the MV perseverance.
Beaufiful fotos. Good for National Geographik! Makes me weap...

Fabulous imagery, especially your use of depth of field and telephoto still images. Wonderful stuff. Thank you.
Beautiful and inspiring! Makes me want to jump off the couch and head to Alaska now!
Stunning footage and still shots, thank you.
