Back in the day (65-66) I saw an Impala station wagon with the 409 power emblem on the front fender. Found out that later in the production year the switched to the 396. Both good engines. I had a 65 Impala SS with the 396 325hp and a powerglide tranny, not fast off the line, but it was faster than the word of god on the top end….luved that car!!
