I miss these days😢
I love how no one wants to watch free broadcast TV anymore so they can choose what to watch, when to watch, and because they hate commercials... Then we all choose to watch old commercials on TV. Soon enough there'll be a streaming service devoted to commercials that you can get for only $12 a month!
Remember the days when it took eight months like Fatal Attraction did to go from movie release to VHS release? Now they're released on DVD SO much faster.
That Diet Minute Maid commercial was pretty interesting, especially the thumbnail. Just gotta be on the lookout for those running oranges.
Diet Minute Maid? That's something you don't see everyday!
The oranges are going crazy.
0:27- That newscaster's glasses lenses look so thick that, they look like they could focus sunlight to fry eggs on a sidewalk.
Growing up in the San Jose area I remember all of these KGO Channel 7 commercials!
Me too!
Do you remember that camera shop commercial??? With their jingle:
"Dublin, Berkeley, San Lorenzo, Cuppertino, San Jose" *repeat*
1:44 - This almost looks like Lucille Ball filming an action scene...
1:45 THAT'S MY PURSE I DON'T KNOW YOU!
Yes my day off got even better. Woo hoo!!!!!!!
Enjoy a nice glass of melonaid friend!
Bob Magana Dont forget the Halloween spooktime Edition fun-sized marshmallow niblets. Guaranteed to spook that Halloween flavor into your mouth. Or Strong Bads money guaranteed
It's weird how 80s commercials are oddly soothing. And even though modern ads are clever they're in no way "soothing" like they were back then. I'm sure it's nostalgia but still!
Modern ads are nasty
6:39 - Something tells me the answer to this poll was a resounding "yes".
Well now I have to find this news story
I work in HR; it happens all the time.
I never knew Bourne Identity was a remake from a another movie
Not a remake, they're just different adaptations of the same book: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bourne_Identity_(novel)
While my name is Hope and I was born in 1988, I was not named after Mel Harris’ character in thirtysomething (4:34). I kind of wish that I was though; that show is cool.
That is really interesting!!! You never know. 30-something was huge back then. Maybe it planted a seed in your parents naming???
I was in Junior High when this show was on and I me and my Mom never missed watching it. We'd VCR record it if we did (LOL!)
I do remember Hope's daughter was named "Janey"
26. It's an ad for ITT
The banking ad was funny because you think she's talking about a man cheating ! Lol
Notice how car-makers don't really advertise or talk about their warranties anymore? It seems like the warranties are less nowadays.
As glaring bad as they were now we get drug commercials with all the fatal side effects read quickly or some kind of hate speech. I'll take an ugly car commercial any day.
I know. I so remember that the drug ads started in the 90s with "Claritin"
Most people thought it was some "Happy Drug" not an allergy med! With all the
Blue skies...shining on meeee!
China Beach-one show that can't be rebooted by Hollywood
A Current Affair-Maury Povich before he embarked on his career of reading DNA tests
Diet Minute Maid-Attack Of The Killer Oranges?
Fatal Attraction-keep your pet rabbits away from this woman..
Ford Ranger XLT-the poor Toyota guy became so despondent he decided to drive his truck into the ocean-with himself still inside
Beverly Hills Cop-tv edit featured such classic lines as "GET THE HECK OUTTA HERE!" and "Aww SHOOT"...
The Bourne Identity-George Lane Cooper as"Gigantic Man"..? his role mustve been similar to Richard Kiel's Jaws..also Freddie Earlle's"The Beggar" probably was the"mysterious assassin"
IT-i dont think Pennywise wouldnt want to be seen at a seaside resort
Matilda Bay-don't attempt that trick at your party,or else you'll break every bottle in the case
