Man, this makes me feel so old. I totally forgot about Just the Ten of Us and I used to watch it religiously back then.
Also, I love how serious that Listerine commercial is about gingivitis. They make it sound as if you’re about thirty seconds from death if you aren’t using Listerine. lol
Back when television was worth watching. We were happy with just 20 or 30 channels. The good ol days...those days were so much simpler.

I had no idea what that California Lottery commercial was advertising until the end as it's about as 80s as it gets but it still beats anything on TV now!

I remember watching this version of the Bourne identity (it was very good for a "made for TV" spy thriller). Did they re-air this movie? I'm pretty sure I caught a broadcast in 1989 or 1990 (we were in our new house by the time I watched this broadcast)....I dunno, the late 80's and very early 90's are starting to blur together for me.

Lord, I drove Ford Probes until I was in my mid 20’s. First an 89 then a 90s. Best car ever, one was all fancied up with ground fx and a moon roof. What a time.

@@jrebecca0195 Heh, yes, that's correct. I had an "early to mid 90's" high school experience (i started high school in the Fall of 1991). Sounds like you two had a "late 80's" high school experience. Going by the pop culture and fond memories for late 80's (as seen in commercials on this channel), I feel I have more in common with you than I did with the "late 90's" high schoolers (the "Columbine" generation) or than you did with the early 80's high schoolers. I dunno, this is just me thinking out loud.
There's quite a bit of Ford commercials in this volume, & the Escort has a decent design along with the Probe.
The music in the lottery ad is definitely bumpin'!

This reminded me of when Doritos changed the formula for their ranch flavoring in the 90s and made them less colorful (they used to be COVERED in flecks of flavoring) and way more bland tasting. The 80s version of ranch Doritos were basically crack.
I wonder if there's a recording of the version of Dream a Little Dream of Me that was used in that Lotto commercial. I did a little bit of research but haven't been able to find any versions that were produced in the 80s. Even though it's a bit different, I like it.
It was almost certainly produced specifically for the ad, not a previously released version. I'm guessing the original song composition is either out of copyright or very cheap to license.
@@80sCommercialVault after listening to the commercial again, I would agree. Still a nice take on the song and it reminded me of a late 80s power ballad.
I really dig it too and wish there were a full version of it.
