Lot of factual inaccuracies - Cho never opposed the murder case filed by the police; he said that was the right thing to do given the history Shankararaman had with the Mutt. However Cho had a difference of opinion on 3 matters - 1. There was no need to arrest them in a hurry (in Hyderabad); they were not flight risk candidates or dreaded criminals. 2. He opposed the use of foul language against the accused and the Mutt. Both during the trail and in the courts, the prosecution used 3-rd rate language against the seers - that was totally unnecessary. These two facts exposed the personal hatred JJ had against the seers. 3. Sankararaman's letters to the Mutt was nothing short of threats - he should have gone to the public and/or police with his grievances, and not strike a deal with the erring seers. And it was the same Cho who wrote "Engae Brahmanan" - a book that takes a critical look at the current state of the community. The anchor is a useless, hate-filled jerk - the less we talk about him the better.

There're 2 methods to oppose a case. 1. Directly vilifying the prosecution. 2. Indirectly giving moral support to the accused. Cho used, what you call, factual inaccuracies to lend support to the Mutt. As a lawyer, he could have put all his trust in court and said, only court can decide who is guilty or not, and till then, lets keep silent and watch. He did not do that. Instead, went on commenting on it as you said, that showed his indirect support. Cho was dishonest in that sense. If he was arrested at an inappropriate place, his lawyers would have brought it to the notice of the Judge and could have made a case of what you call 'personal hatred of JJ against the accused'. It's a good legal point to make the accuser being motivated by other personal hatred etc. Cho knew this. But it appears you don't

I am a traditional brahmin and and 63 now. I started reading Thuglak from the age of 10, particularly when EVR hit Sriram's idol which was published by Cho and immediately confiscate by Karunanidhi. My admiration grew when he opposed emergency rule and indira gandhi. I liked him more when he criticised MGR's annayisam, till day I don't understand what is annayisam! However, I stopped reading Thuklak when he started supporting his childhood friend Jayalalithaa even though she was as corrupt as Karunanidhi. His neutrality gone for ever! I believe that he received " potti" (பொட்டி) from Jayalalithaa. If you are not old enough, you can't understand Cho who grew taller by himself and fell in the eyes of neutral people like me. So Savitri kannan is not wrong, mostly correct. Cho had multiple personalities, advocate, actor, writer, director and political analyst. I admired his comedy acting , but hated him towards the end for blindly siding with J.
DIRTY peoples like you only comment CHO got potti from Jayalalitha. You got rights to criticize CHO. But not like this. If he wants to coin his contact he became billionaire. Such un believable VVIP contacts from both state and central he got. Don't blabbering as a BORN FOOL.

Mr . Cho Ramaswamy never felt that he was a Brahmin. He always said that in today's world there is hardly any one who fullfilled the qualities of a Brahmin. He was a true patriot. To paint him with caste brush is doing disservice to him.
