i had horrible acne on one cheek and on my chin for so long and this summer i finally found somethings that helped and am now getting rid of my scars with laser.
-2 fish oil tablets a day (omega 3, don’t get ones with omega 6) i think this was the game changer for me. i don’t like seafood so i may have been omega 3 deprived
-sprinolactone cream/ winlevi. also helpful for hormonal acne if you can’t take spiro orally
      - i got tested for H. pylori and took antibiotics to get rid of it (i am not sure how much this helped or didn’t help but my dermatologist had it ordered) but something to consider
      - i also cut out dairy (especially cheese, yogurt, heavy cream, whipped cream and all dairy type things), chocolate (this one hurt me), soda, marshmallows, candy (skittles broke me out i found) and tried to eat less processed foods. i found this got rid of a lot of my hormonal acne. i now occasionally eat cheese and generally my skin tolerates it (i looked up this could be bc of the h.pylori) if you notice yourself breaking out a lot after eating something try to cut it out for a while and see. then you make whatever decision you prefer!!
good luck with your acne journey :) i know you didn’t ask for tips but i hope something i shared can be of help

@@MelvinElian lots of unprocessed, whole natural foods. I make a lot of dishes containing beans, lentils and different vegetables. Take for example a chili sin carne with brown rice and I get really full and get lots of nutrients. I never count calories since the body will feel satisfied when eating right and never any need to diet. I stay at my ideal weight by eating as much as I want but eating healthy and staying away from processed carbs and added fats. There is a common myth about younger people needing milk or whatever but I wish I stopped drinking it sooner, it contains a lot of hormones since it is, well, made for baby cows. Replace animal products with plant foods and you will notice a difference, since plant foods contain more all around nutrients!

@@buhbools133 i transitioned into plant based diet too about 4 years ago and havent looked back since, took some getting used to but as you know its def worth it and yeah, the shit they put into everything is ridiculous. It's actually hard to find clean food these days unless you buy everything separately and cook yourself and so thats why i meal prep, also because its pretty much impossible to find somewhat clean take-out food where i live. It seems like things are getting better slowly though as manufacturers and distributors are becoming more concious of the things they put inside food. I wish i could help more people transition into cleaner eating habbits but to be honest most people dont care what they put inside their bodies, they'd rather eat garbage unconciously and then deal with the concequences lol

  • @petersjuri

Try to minimize dairy, sugar and simple carbohydrates (e.g. wheat). Diet changes do not always work and are not scientifically proven to cure acne breakouts, however it can help. Minimizing stress is another factor to be considered. For actual medical treatments look into topical creams that contain Benzol peroxide and/or Retinoids (You can research on your own, however please do talk to your dermatologist about the products you are going to use!). AHA and BHA are an alternative but as said before, discuss these with your doctor. For general facial hygiene minimize soap and just use a gentle cleanser for your face and gently dry your face with a separate towel. Perfume free moisturizers can also be used, if your face tends to get dry. As soon as acne tends to get cystic I would lay off the common advice of using just using some different kind of product from some cosmetic store and actually stick to the products with factual medical literature backing them up. Stick to these for some weeks and you should notice improvement. Be consistent and be patient. I know the struggle but you got this. All the best!

Not a white head pimple from what I understand it's a hormonal thing. Maybe a follicular confliction and just taking quick fix pills hardly work. It is about managing hormones and the foods we eat and how we deal with stress 😬 is everything. I'm still adjusting to it all. Good luck and yes you are beautiful 🦋❤️

(I wrote this comment too in one of your videos) but I’ll write about my experience with cystic acne too in case it can help some people. I basically struggled with acne on and off since I got my period 10 years ago, it started to get worse when I was 13-14 but it wasn’t that bad and I didn’t even had scarring just a lot of hormonal breakouts on my chin and forehead, 2021 and it got out of control once I turned 18 I tried to change my diet a million times, different supplements, but I was still breaking out. Then suddenly I thanks to my skincare routine my skin started to get better and I was acne free for almost a whole year until I started to bulk and eat a lot calories. I tried to check my diet, try to see what was the issue, if it was too much protein, I changed my diet a million times, I don’t even drink milk cause I’m vegan. I started to eat low carb cause I found out I had pcos, never worked for me. I believe you don’t have to cut carbs out of your diet because brown rice, beans, legumes, veggies, sweet potato, quinoa etc it’s healthy but I personally avoid fruits and refined sugar because they trigger my insulin release and I notice I breakout. I started to take isotretinoin and also a DIM supplement and trying to manage my stress and my cystic acne is gone. I still need to be 3 months more but If you’re to desperate and you feel insecure and depressed I recommend it

Scientists at the nonprofit advocacy organization recently measured the amount of heavy metals in 28 popular brands of dark chocolate bars and found cadmium and lead in all of them. For 23 of the bars, consuming just an ounce a day would put an adult over a level for at least one of the metals that could be harmful, CR said. Five of the bars were above those levels for both cadmium and lead.

when i look at the acne on my face, i feel like a witch to be burned but looking at you, it doesn’t take away from your beauty at all. literal example of we are not ugly, but born into a judgmental society. bc i judge myself harshly all the time, it literally impacts how i see. or maybe ur just so gorgeous you can pull off cystic acne and i don’t have the looks to make up for it 😂

    I love your videos!
I used to have a major acne issue, with a huge chunk of it being of the cystic variety. I also had a lot of dead skin and oil build up because I did not know the difference between 'dry' and 'dehydrated' (I saw flakes and assumed I had dry skin when I actually had oily and dehydrated skin).
La Roche Posay's Effaclar line really helped to break through the dead skin, while Avene's Cleanance line really minimized the acne.
HOWEVER, the one thing I did not count on but made a huge difference: candy. In particular, gummies. Not sure what it is, but when I eat them, I can break out badly. (**this strangely also applies to gummy vitamins). I've since cut it out and my skin has been looking so much better in the last few years. For the most part I've even been able to switch ti cheaper skin care.
I don't know if any of this helps you or anyone reading this, but I wanted to share just in case.

oh… i LOVE gummies and ate more than usual recently… and got cystic acne for the first time ever. i’ve had one or two pimples like that before, and i’ve always had whiteheads all over but for four days in a row now i’ve gotten a new one on my forehead every day. maybe it’s my gummy melatonin 🥲 although i keep forgetting to take it. i also randomly forget to take my ADHD meds so maybe that throws me out of balance idk

They don’t want you to know it’s not acne, technically, it’s your body reacting to modern toxins that it can’t break down OR process, meat and vegetables are a good step, if you must have a snack, cucumber slices with an olive oil based dressing, zero sugar, zero dairy, yes you are beautiful

What medicine did they prescribe? I have adult acne. Got it at age 20. It’s been 6 years and still suffering from it. I got prescribed doxycycline from derm and worked like a dream! My skin was finally clear, like crystal clear! But after 6 month it came back, now I’m on Accutane….

hey rebecca do you think it could be because you need the cleanser or light soap solution to remove the sebum excreted from the skin for frequently? and maybe it could be the pillow cover being dirty and when you sleep with you cheek against the pillow that that could make the pimples!

Potato skins are good for the skin. I used a witch hazel cleanser i got from an Avon seller.... Best ever, it was exfoliating and really good stuff.

I have similar skin-cystic acne I had laser surgery for as a teenager (spoiler it didn’t work) I’m in my 30s and sad to tell you I cleared it up completely by eliminating gluten, dairy and sugar. These foods are inflammatory and inflammation in my body occurs on my skin ie: multiple huge and painful cystic zits all over my face. The good news is you can live without foods containing dairy, gluten and sugar, but it’s basically a half life without joy. Your videos are the only thing that bring me a spark of happiness now❤
